Chapter 537: Chapter 357 Hero Saves the Beauty 1 Chapter 537: Chapter 357 Hero Saves the Beauty 1 The movie theater wasn’t far away, just a twenty-minute walk. They bought three servings of popcorn and three bottles of soda at the entrance and then headed inside the theater.
There were two blockbuster movies playing at the mont, one a cody and the other a zombie flick. Shen Mianmian wanted to watch the cody, while Lu Siyuan was keen on the zombie movie, and Xiaocui said she didn’t mind either way.
In the end, they played rock-paper-scissors, and Lu Siyuan won, so the three of them ended up watching the zombie movie.
As soon as they entered the hall and the lights went out, Xiaocui clung to Shen Mianmian, scared stiff. Seeing her so nervous, Shen Mianmian was a bit exasperated, as Xiaocui was already terrified before the movie had even started; she would probably have nightmares after watching it.
She had wanted to watch a cody considering Xiaocui’s fear, but there was no reasoning with Lu Siyuan’s reckless courage.
With the movie underway, Xiaocui was too frightened to make a peep, completely on edge, while Lu Siyuan watched with great enthusiasm. The zombie movies of their ti weren’t much different from codies, and Shen Mianmian didn’t find it scary at all. However, for Xiaocui, who was watching a horror movie for the first ti, it was nightmarishly terrifying, and she would cover her eyes every ti a zombie appeared on screen.
“Why cover your eyes? It’s not scary at all, it’s all fake. Don’t believe ? Just look, Mianmian isn’t scared,” teased Lu Siyuan, encouraging her to watch.
“I won’t look, I won’t look,” insisted Xiaocui, her hands firmly over her eyes.
After the movie ended, Xiaocui was shaking so much her legs were weak, and Shen Mianmian and Lu Siyuan had to support her, one on each arm, as they helped her out.
Lu Siyuan laughed hard enough to double over, while Xiaocui kept exclaiming, “I’m never watching that again, it was too scary.”
“If you’re scared, you can sleep in the sa room as tonight.” Shen Mianmian knew the feeling of fear all too well; it really made for a sleepless night.
Just as Xiaocui was about to speak, a woman’s scream suddenly rang out, “Ah! Help, what are you doing, don’t co any closer, go away, go away…”
“Where’s that shouting coming from?” Lu Siyuan perked up his ears.
“It seems to be that alley over there,” Shen Mianmian pointed towards an alley ahead.
“Could it be a robbery?” asked the young man, his blood racing. He let go of Xiaocui and sprinted to the entrance of the alley.
It was after seven o’clock, and it had already grown dark. The alley had no streetlights, and only dimly could they make out two n cornering a girl against a wall.
“What are you doing?” he yelled and charged towards them.
Shen Mianmian and Xiaocui reached the mouth of the alley as well. Seeing Lu Siyuan rush in, Shen Mianmian’s expression turned cold as she suddenly rembered that Lu Siyuan had gone to prison for fighting in his past life.
Rembering this, she quickly said to Xiaocui, “You go call the police fast.”
“Okay, okay,” Xiaocui, experiencing such an event for the first ti, turned pale with fright and ran off.
Shen Mianmian, left with no ti to think, also dashed into the alley. Her priority was to ensure Lu Siyuan’s safety while preventing him from injuring anyone.
The thugs hadn’t expected soone to co out of the blue and were startled. The one about to cover the girl’s mouth hesitated, then, grinding his teeth, said nacingly to the newcor, “This isn’t your business, you’d better mind your own.”
“Save ,” the girl surrounded by the thugs pleaded for help, trying to escape, but the thug blocked her way.
“Let her go,” Lu Siyuan roared, and although he had the height of an adult and tried to make his voice as deep as possible, his youthful voice betrayed his age.
“Ha ha, just a little brat,” both thugs started laughing when they heard Lu Siyuan’s voice.
They thought so big shot had co, but it was just a little brat trying to play the hero.
