Chapter 1287: Chapter 1287: Infighting 4

“What’s that?”

Cheng Xining walked up to his side, deliberately toying with his tie. Her gaze and tone were filled with an ambiguous charm, and they were so close that Cheng Xining was nearly pressed against Zheng Zhi’s chest. With just a bend from Zheng Zhi, he could kiss Cheng Xining’s red lips.

Over the years, Cheng Xining had mingled among n, and though she hadn’t learned much about acting, her skills in seduction were top-notch. When she got flirty, she truly had the air of a little temptress.

Zheng Zhi’s throat moved slightly. This wasn’t his first ti eting Cheng Xining, but she had previously never even given him a proper glance. Now that she was flirting so openly, he found himself at a loss to understand Cheng Xining.

“Miss Cheng, you’re not quite yourself today.” Zheng Zhi took a step back, straightening the tie that Cheng Xining had touched, and in an instant, he beca serious. “A man under strict watch by his wife will of course discipline himself, even when his wife isn’t around, don’t you think, Miss Cheng?”

Cheng Xining smirked, “Is that so?”

She tilted her head, eyeing Zheng Zhi, “I think it’s simply that they haven’t t the right person. Otherwise, what kind of man could resist, like today’s groom, who also had a daughter with another woman, right?”

Zheng Zhi couldn’t fathom Cheng Xining’s thoughts. He said, “Today is President He’s wedding day—it seems inappropriate to talk about these things, right? Besides, as far as I know, he has clarified that the child isn’t his.”

“You’re in business too, and you believe that kind of clarification?” Cheng Xining looked disdainful.

Zheng Zhi’s eyes flickered, “So, Miss Cheng’s fondness for President He is real, isn’t it?”

This was almost an open secret among acquaintances. In the past, everyone thought Cheng Xining and He Nan were a good match, but later, people were saying that it was good He Nan didn’t marry soone like Cheng Xining. Otherwise, she would’ve embarrassed the entire He Family.

Zheng Zhi had often heard such talk, and he had never had much interaction with Cheng Xining before, always treating these rumors as a joke. He hadn’t expected Cheng Xining to co to him flaunting her charms.

Though Cheng Xining may not have been much of an actress, she wasn’t lacking in resources and had fild quite a few movies in the past five years, making her a celebrity of so renown.

“You want to know?” Cheng Xining’s lips curled up into a seductive smile as she pulled his tie toward the restroom, “Co inside, I’ll tell you.”

“Miss Cheng, isn’t this inappropriate? The banquet is about to begin, and it wouldn’t look good to be seen by others. I am a married man, after all.” Zheng Zhi, encountering such a woman for the first ti, managed to maintain a calm exterior, while his heart had already started to race.

Cheng Xining glanced at her watch, “Twenty minutes left, that’s plenty.”

“Are you underestimating , or overestimating yourself?” Challenged in his masculinity, the look in Zheng Zhi’s eyes changed as he faced Cheng Xining.

“Let’s find out,” she replied.

Cheng Xining applied more force to her grip, and after looking around to ensure no one was coming, Zheng Zhi followed her into the won’s restroom. Minutes later, they ca out one after the other; Cheng Xining calmly rinsing her mouth at the sink, Zheng Zhi’s face clouded with annoyance.

“Just you wait, I’ll let you know,” he said.

Cheng Xining coquettishly smirked, slipping a business card into Zheng Zhi’s pocket. “My phone number. Manager Zheng, don’t forget to get in touch!”

Zheng Zhi gave her a look before heading to the hall, where he imdiately encountered Luo Jingjing who was about to leave.

“The banquet is about to start, where have you been? You were gone for so long,” Luo Jingjing eyed him with suspicion.
