Cheng Feiyang snorted when he heard that: "Are you still being sour about He Nan and Mianmian? Do you think I’m not doing enough as a boyfriend?"
"Don’t go looking for trouble for nothing!" Yang Xiaoxi gave Cheng Feiyang a displeased look.
During this ti, Cheng Feiyang has been busy with He Nan preparing their wedding, often coming back late at night. Yang Xiaoxi wanted to stay over at Shen Mianmian’s place, but Cheng Feiyang disagreed, arguing that it wasn’t appropriate for her to stay there now that they’re about to get married. After thinking it through, Xiaoxi agreed and intended to go back ho, yet Cheng Feiyang disagreed and managed to coax her into staying at his place instead.
Later, Yang Xiaoxi thought it over carefully and always felt that sothing was off, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on what was wrong. She didn’t co up with any clues after racking her brains and decided to wait until Shen Mianmian’s wedding was over.
Seeing Cheng Feiyang becoming increasingly overbearing, Xiaoxi’s patience was wearing thin.
"Who’s the one looking for trouble?" Cheng Feiyang retorted sarcastically: "Mianmian and Brother Nan have set their lives on the right track and are getting married. anwhile, I haven’t even t your parents yet. Isn’t that unfair? Haven’t we been dating for a while now? You always say you’ll find an opportunity to talk to your family about us, but so much ti has passed, and you haven’t ntioned it once. Yang Xiaoxi, I’ve seen a lot of n who make empty promises, but you’re the first woman I’ve seen to do so. Now that Mianmian and Brother Nan are here, give a definite answer! When will you introduce to your parents? I don’t want to keep living in this undefined relationship."
Shen Mianmian couldn’t help but let out a chuckle, and He Nan handed her a tissue. Shen Mianmian took it casually and laughed, "You guys continue. Pretend we’re not here."
Tang Ling also smiled, "This is perfect. We can help you guys judge the situation."
Yang Xiaoxi’s face turned red from the teasing, and she glared at Cheng Feiyang. "It’s because you always make a fuss. Haven’t I said I’ve been busy recently? After I’m done with this busy period, I’ll talk to my family, okay? Why the rush? Does it make a difference if I say it sooner or later? It’s not like I’m gonna run away, right?"
"I just want a proper status, that’s not too much to ask, right? Bringing up this matter to the family is only a few words, you can’t be too busy for that, can you?" Cheng Feiyang argued. "If you’re too shy to tell your family, I can do it for you. I’ve t your uncle anyway, and he quite likes . I’m sure he’d be really happy to know we’re together."
Cheng Feiyang seed determined to give her an ultimatum, insisting that Yang Xiaoxi give him a clear reply, not letting her continue to drag things out.
Yang Xiaoxi: "..."
She was glaring at Cheng Feiyang on the verge of exploding, furious. This guy was doing it on purpose, knowing full well she didn’t want to tell her family yet and pressuring her nonetheless—so infuriating.
"Yang Xiaoxi, you wouldn’t be harboring any other ulterior motives, would you?" Seeing that Yang Xiaoxi didn’t imdiately agree, Cheng Feiyang felt uncomfortable, "Do you have soone else in your heart, and that’s why you don’t want to tell your family about us?"
"What nonsense are you spouting?" Yang Xiaoxi glared at him angrily. "Who could I possibly have in my heart? I’m not that fickle."
"Then tell , when will you call your family?" Cheng Feiyang pressed on.
"..." Yang Xiaoxi thought for a mont, "We’ll talk about it after Mianmian’s wedding."
Delaying it another day is still another day.
"That’s not going to work," Cheng Feiyang wouldn’t let her find excuses, "I think it’s a good ti now. Why don’t we call them right away?"
"No way," Yang Xiaoxi imdiately refused, "My family is having dinner right now; it’s not appropriate to call about this."
