Chapter 1133: Chapter 1133: I Won’t Send You to the Orphanage
Shen Mianmian pursed her lips as she looked at He Nan, “Brother He, what should we do now?”
If she had guessed correctly, Tang Ling must have wanted to use Xingxing to tie He Nan down, but unexpectedly, He Nan did not acknowledge that Xingxing was his daughter. When Tang Ling failed to achieve her goal, she abandoned the child here.

This was unfair to Shen Mianmian.
“Uncle He.”
Xingxing’s eyes brimd with tears as she too looked at He Nan, “Uncle He, I promise I’ll be very good in the future, please don’t leave behind, okay? I don’t want to go to the orphanage.”
These words made everyone’s hearts feel uncomfortable, but they still hoped that He Nan would not keep Xingxing.
He Nan raised his hand and ruffled Xingxing’s hair, saying, “I won’t send you to the orphanage.”
As soon as these words ca out, Ruan Yiqian’s eyebrows creased, while Yang Xiaoxi and Cheng Feiyang instinctively looked at Shen Mianmian.
Shen Mianmian’s face showed no expression, unclear what she was thinking.
Just as Ruan Yiqian could hardly restrain from saying sothing, they heard He Nan continue: “Your maternal grandfather is a local Beijinger; they’re well off; they received a decent settlent sum back in the day and have enough ans to support you and provide you with a good education.”
At this, everyone’s eyes brightened instantly.
Xingxing clearly hadn’t expected this outco and began to cry again, “Uncle He, I’ve never seen my grandfather; I don’t want to go there, I want to be with you.”
“They are your family, and living with them is the best choice for you. I will co to see you,” He Nan said gently but resolutely.
Shen Mianmian pursed her lips and asked, “Will they be willing to take care of Xingxing?”
“Yes,” He Nan answered without hesitation, “Tang Ling is an only child, and her parents are both over fifty now.”
With one sentence, everyone understood everything.
Tang Ling was an only child, and with her parents getting older, they certainly would not have more children. Tang Ling had given them a grandchild while she was alive; the elderly couple would be more than happy and would never push Xingxing away.
Shen Mianmian set her mind at ease, and after one more glance at Xingxing, she said, “Xingxing, since it’s like this, you should live with your grandfather then!”
“But…” Xingxing wanted to say sothing but didn’t finish.
Her mother had told her to live with Uncle He, but now Uncle He was sending her away.
Seeing her reaction, Shen Mianmian guessed what she was thinking and added, “Xingxing, no matter what your mother has told you, you must rember that living with your grandfather is the best choice for you. They are your family; they won’t abandon you.”
Her tone paused, and then she continued, “Your Uncle He is very busy and will often be on business trips, so he won’t have much ti to take care of you.”
“Can I live with you?” Xingxing still held onto a sliver of hope.
Shen Mianmian shook her head, “I can go with your Uncle He to visit you, and so can Brother Xiaobei.”
Xingxing pursed her lips, silent, but her heart was filled with unease.
