Chapter 1067: Chapter 1067: Looking for a Job
Shen Mianmian took Zhu Yun to another restaurant, hoping to get her a job as a waitress serving dishes, but Zhu Yun complained about not wanting to serve tea and water.
“If you don’t want this job or that job, then you should go work in a factory,” Yang Xiaoxi said. “There are so garnt factories around here, the pay isn’t bad, and they like hiring young girls like you, plus food and accommodation are included.”
“I don’t want to,” Zhu Yun flatly refused. “Those places barely give any days off each month, and the hours are too long.”
In reality, Zhu Yun wanted to act in films like Yang Xiaoxi, naturally looking down on those kinds of jobs.
“Then tell , what can you do?” Yang Xiaoxi was furious with Zhu Yun, finding herself yelling every ti she spoke to her.
Zhu Yun thought for a mont and said, “We’ve been out for more than two hours, I’m tired to death. How about we just go back and rest for a while? What’s the rush! It’s not like a day or a half-day will matter.”
“No.” Yang Xiaoxi insisted on finding her a job. “You have to find a job and move out today, otherwise I’m buying you a ticket back ho.”
Zhu Yun was angry, but helpless, so she said, “Then find sothing closer to where you live.”

The restaurant was hiring dishwashers. Seeing that Zhu Yun was neat in appearance and likely efficient, they agreed to take her on with food and accommodation included, paying sixty a month.
Zhu Yun initially didn’t want to do it, but upon hearing about the sixty yuan, she agreed.
In Licheng, a month’s pay was thirty yuan; here, it was double. Moreover, washing dishes was simple and not ntally taxing.
Once the job was settled, Shen Mianmian and Yang Xiaoxi helped Zhu Yun move her things to the lodging provided by the boss and even bought her two large cotton quilts.
Upon entering, Zhu Yun imdiately disliked it.
The tiny space could only fit one bed, there was no bathroom, the wall plaster was peeling and old, clearly from many years ago, and it probably even leaked when it rained.
Compared to Shen Mianmian’s house, it was like heaven above and a stinking ditch below, utterly incomparable.
“How can anyone live in this house? I don’t want to stay here.” Zhu Yun’s eyes reddened and she suddenly cried, “Cousin, I ca all this way and you’re making live here? Even beggars wouldn’t want to live in this.”

After that, she pulled Shen Mianmian and they both walked away.
Zhu Yun’s cries could be heard from behind; her steps did not even pause.
