Listening to Liu Hong’s sobbing complaints, Bai Jing trembled with anger.

Damn it, how paranoid must one be to co up with such bizarre reasons?

She knew Huang Wei disliked her, but she hadn’t expected the crazy woman to bla her for the death of her child and for her lifelong infertility due to a hysterectomy!

Does she, a big sister-in-law from a prominent family, need to bother with the womb of a sister-in-law who’s just a regular worker?

Back then, the Bai family was on the rise, and everyone from the Dai family had to be careful around her.

It’s not like Huang Wei having a child, even if she gave birth to a divine child, could surpass Bai Jing!

Dai Weiguo’s own son couldn’t weigh as much in his heart as power did, let alone so nephew?

Bai Jing didn’t understand why Huang Wei’s thought process was so peculiar, but she certainly wouldn’t forget the losses she suffered.

Huang Wei, is it?

No matter the reason, since you’ve provoked and plotted against , be ready for my form of reciprocation!

Bai Jing sneered, thinking keeping Liu Hong as a witness and exposing Huang Wei was a small matter. To really deal with Huang Wei, she had to strike where it hurt, leaving her helpless.

Can’t give birth, right?

It’s said that in the poor mountainous regions of Sichuan and Hunan, when a family can’t find a wife, they often pool their resources to buy one as a group.

If after all these efforts, the bought wife can’t give birth, then...

This purchased woman would certainly be tornted endlessly.

"Made unable to be the wife of an official, a second-marriage woman. Pulled from the sky to the ground, so you should stay in hell!" Bai Jing spoke sinisterly, contacting an old acquaintance who dealt in shady businesses.

anwhile, Huang Wei was full of joy, returning to Beijing, eager to see Bai Jing’s downfall, but she was quietly kidnapped as soon as she got off the train.

She disappeared into the bustling crowd, leaving Dai Weimin shouting till his voice turned hoarse without any response.

Days later, in a mountain in Sichuan, the Lin family brothers pooled their savings to buy a pale-skinned woman in her thirties.

That woman initially claid she had a family, and her elder brother-in-law was an official in Beijing. If the Lin brothers let her go, she offered to repay them double, no, ten tis the money.

Unfortunately, the eldest Lin brother, now in his forties, was finally able to have a woman, and nothing attracted him more than getting her on the bed and having kids.

Now that the woman was finally in hand, he wouldn’t consider letting go for ten tis or even a hundred tis the price!

Suddenly kidnapped and sold, facing these three brutes, Huang Wei felt her world was collapsing.

Moreover, the most despairing part was: these brothers bought her for procreation, but her uterus was removed after a rupture long ago.

With the brothers watching her daily, any hint of escape led to a severe beating. Within just two months, she went from being a beloved to a hated wife due to not nstruating or getting pregnant.

Shad and despised, even seeking death beca a luxury. Huang Wei was exhausted, teary-eyed, not knowing what divine power she had offended.

Bai Jing, who orchestrated her tragedies without offering any clarity, only affird that Huang Wei’s current and future state would be miserable. Bai Jing then pushed thoughts of her sister-in-law from her mind, waiting for Dai Weiguo to confront her.

Returning to Beijing in disgrace, losing his sister-in-law upon disembarking left Dai Weiguo distressed.

The brothers searched the train station tirelessly for a whole day, but finally had to report to the police after gaining nothing.

He sought to have the police increase their efforts and comforted the second brother, who cried till his eyes were swollen with guilt.

During these troubling days, Dai Weiguo was agitated and anxious, rendering his efforts useless, as a week of active searching turned up no valuable clues.

Huang Wei appeared to have vanished into thin air.

After realizing continuing to wait was futile, Dai Weiguo returned to his compound, intending to have an honest talk with Bai Jing.

Thinking it was best to resolve personal matters before returning from his leave.

"Can we continue being a couple?" Bai Jing asked hopefully, although she now had no affection whatsoever for this man who weighed power so heavily. Yet, being an official’s wife was still a good image.

Dai Weiguo spat out his tea in surprise, choking loudly before glaring at her like a madman: "After everything you’ve done against , how dare you still use the word couple? Bai Jing, where do you get the nerve?"

Bai Jing frowned: "If we can’t be a couple, let’s divorce. What’s with the swearing? No culture!"

"I..." Dai Weiguo furrowed his thick brows like a knot: "Divorce is a must! Not only divorce, but you’ll bear the fault!"

"Why should I?"

"Because you yourself can’t give birth, yet you hard my body. Or would you prefer I sue you and your friend Hu Qian in court? Intentional harm isn’t a light charge, especially when I’m an official!" Dai Weiguo declared confidently, his voice full of threat.

Bai Jing’s eyes flashed, and after a long pause, she replied with difficulty: "Fine, I’ll bear the fault. I’ll take the responsibility for the divorce myself and try to leave the family assets to you as much as possible. After all, we’ve been a couple, let’s part on good terms!"

Dai Weiguo snorted, thinking how humiliating it would be if the incident beca public while he wanted to maintain his reputation.

Otherwise, he’d drag Bai Jing down even at a high cost.

Bai Jing, who originally intended for a clean break, coldly laughed upon seeing this reaction: Fine, if you refuse the easy path in paradise, then charge through hell! Since you hate so much, how could I leave you with even a scrap of chance to turn things around and avenge in the future?

She directly staged a scandalous affair, causing a massive uproar, before securing the divorce papers under Dai Weiguo’s murderous gaze.

Then Bai Jing headed south in search of new beginnings, claiming a desire for change. Naturally, before she left, she also reported to her superiors about Dai Weiguo’s monthly consumption of over five hundred yen on a hundred-yen salary. Finally, Bai Jing dealt him a strong, unexpected blow.
