With a thought, Nether River Ancestor summoned the Twelve Grade Karmic Fire Red Lotus, standing upon it, enveloped in blazing karmic fire, which blocked the netherworld ghost fla released by the Sarcophagus Lamp.
Karmic fire? It’s the Twelve Grade Karmic Fire Red Lotus!
The pupils of Ran Deng Buddha suddenly constricted, and his expression darkened. The Twelve Grade Karmic Fire Red Lotus, a top-grade Innate Spiritual Treasure, ranked alongside the Twelve Grade rit Golden Lotus and the Twelve Grade World-Ending Black Lotus as part of the Twelve Grade Lotus Platforms.
The Twelve Grade rit Golden Lotus originally belonged to the Guiding Daoist, but during the battle of Divine Enthronent, it was drained of its third grade by Mosquito Daoist, reducing it to the superior grade Innate Spiritual Treasure, the Ninth Grade rit Golden Lotus. As for the Twelve Grade World-Ending Black Lotus, Sun Wukong had already seen it in the hands of Demon Ancestor Luo Hu.
The defensive power of the Twelve Grade Lotus Platforms was astonishing. Simply sitting upon one could defend against any attack, though, of course, this was all relative, depending on how the user’s cultivation strength could fully manifest the mighty power of the Twelve Grade Lotus Platform.

As soon as his words fell, the remaining Karmic Fire on the Twelve Grade Karmic Fire Red Lotus suddenly blazed furiously, pushing aside the netherworld ghost fla, transforming into a fire dragon and charging toward Ran Deng Buddha.
“This is bad!”
Ran Deng Buddha was greatly horrified, realizing that the Nether Ghost Fla could burn the Soul’s True Spirit and had an extrely strong attachnt ability. The Red Lotus Karma Fire was just as fierce—once contaminated, one would be endlessly entangled by Karma Power, and the Buddha Primordial Force painstakingly cultivated would quickly vanish under the power of karma. No one could bear it!
Retreat, he must retreat quickly!
With Buddha’s Light protecting his body, Ran Deng Buddha hastily retreated. The Sarcophagus Lamp floated in front of him, and the Nether Ghost Fla that originally surged out in attacks was now completely used for defense, forming a circle of flaming protective shields that enveloped Ran Deng Buddha, resisting the erosion from the Red Lotus Karma Fire.

A gleam flashed in the eyes of Yama Heavenly Son who was watching from the sidelines. He had clashed with Nether River Ancestor many tis and yet had never seen Nether River Ancestor use the Twelfth Grade Karmic Fire Red Lotus. This fellow had hidden it really deep!

A gleam flashed in Wukong’s eyes, “This must be sothing Nether River Ancestor acquired recently, right? Otherwise, he wouldn’t have kept it unused. I recall the first ti we t, he was badly beaten by you, Yama Brother, and many of his Blood God Avatars were destroyed!”
With treasures at hand, no one would foolishly hide them and not use them, especially not a Top Grade Innate Spiritual Treasure like the Twelfth Grade Karmic Fire Red Lotus. If Nether River Ancestor had possessed this treasure back then, he would have used it during his duel with Yama Heavenly Son and wouldn’t have been forced to use his Blood God Avatars to escape.

Yama Heavenly Son thoughtfully nodded, “This Twelfth Grade Karmic Fire Red Lotus is indeed a Top Grade Innate Spiritual Treasure. Perhaps previously, Nether River’s cultivation strength was insufficient to subdue it, which is why he didn’t bring it out?”
“Why bother with so much? With the Twelfth Grade Karmic Fire Red Lotus to assist him, Nether River Old Ghost won’t have any problems dealing with that Ran Deng baldy. Now, only the Donghua Emperor is left!”

The Donghua Emperor had initially not wanted to attack Wukong but was compelled by his duty and the Jade Emperor’s urging to make sporadic attacks.
