Leader of Tongtian glanced back at Sun Wukong with a hint of a smile, “Good lad, it seems you’ve safely crossed your emotional tribulation, and my intervention wasn’t in vain after all!”
Emotional tribulation? Safely crossed?
A flicker of surprise passed through Sun Wukong’s eyes, followed quickly by understanding. Previously, due to Zi Lan Fairy’s death, he had almost descended into madness, thinking of nothing but killing Tathagata Buddha to avenge Zi Lan Fairy, which had led him down the Demonic Path. That must be the “emotional tribulation” the Leader of Tongtian was speaking of, right?
With that thought, Sun Wukong couldn’t help but bitterly smile and shake his head. Safely crossed? He had clearly failed his Tribulation Crossing! If not for the revival effects of the Ti-Space Life-Death Talisman, he would’ve been reduced to ashes by now; how could he still be standing here, whole and unhard, conversing with the Leader of Tongtian?
