Yeton Main City—spanning over 80 square kiloters, this is a main city with fully developed comrcial trade, political administration, and military defense systems, making it the core of the entire Yeton territory.
Passing through its towering 20-ter-high city walls and the 25-ter-high gate towers, one could see the bustling central avenue.
Following the central avenue would lead directly to the city's core area (the inner city), where an imposing multi-story western-style building stood tall, guarded by an 18-ter-high inner wall, making clear the structure's significance.
This was the heart of the entire Yeton territory—the Administration Hall!
At this mont, the lord of Yeton territory, Ferros Kalia, was staring anxiously at the report on his desk, which had been delivered by his most trusted guardsman.
Yet, the contents of the report...
"Useless fools! Useless!"
Ferros roared as he tore the report to shreds and threw it to the ground in fury. From the scattered scraps, a few keywords could still be discerned.
"Magic mithril,"
"Terance family,"
"Pedory,"
"Assassin Star"...
It was clear that Ferros was enraged by the theft of the magic mithril.
But just as he was venting his powerless rage, a male voice sounded from outside the door.
"Lord Ferros, what has gotten you so angry? Why not tell
about it?"
Hearing this, Ferros looked toward the door. Before he could scold this "presumptuous fellow," his anger dissipated at the sight of the man and he wilted.
"Your Highness Worcester!"
Upon seeing the young man, Ferros hurriedly went forward and greeted him with a respectful noble salute.
"Didn't Your Highness Worcester say you would arrive tomorrow?"
"What, am I not welco if I co a day early?"
"It's not that—I just feared that if His Highness the Third Prince ca suddenly I would be unable to receive you properly."
"Spare
the pleasantries. I'm here for one reason."
With that, Worcester sat down in Ferros's office chair without hesitation, and Ferros didn't dare make a sound in protest.
"Where is my magic mithril?"
"So... Your Highness already knows?"
"Hmph! Do you think people are blind and deaf? Do you understand that your esteed princess has already gone to your distinguished king to voice her grievances!"
At this, Ferros's eyes widened.
"Impossible... How could Her Highness the Princess make a personal complaint? And since the culprit was the Assassin Star, the princess couldn't possibly—"
"She would not personally complain. The one secretly lodging the complaint was 'Kiria Styvian'—the supre leader of Assassin Star!"
Hearing this, Ferros was shocked.
"What! Kiria actually switched allegiance to Her Highness the Princess?!"
"I didn't expect this either, but that does not excuse your failure to safeguard the magic mithril. Do you realize how much wealth I spent on that?"
"......"
Ferros was left speechless. He had not expected shifts in power within the Empire to happen so quickly, leaving him utterly out of the loop.
"My deepest apologies, Your Highness. I have disappointed you."
Finally, realizing the failure could not be redeed, Ferros lowered his head in apology. As to why he didn't try to recover the magic mithril...
In their eyes, the magic mithril must have already fallen into Assassin Star's hands, and trying to recover it would be a complete fantasy.
"Hmph! A re bit of magic mithril, I can still afford the loss. But those people keep insisting they have not taken the magic mithril and that it is still in my possession!"
"So, Your Highness has co to the Yeton territory this ti to..."
"Officially, I am here to investigate the 'Corrupted Jungle Undead Outbreak' incident."
That was Worcester's explanation, and the now-aware Ferros understood.
The 'undead outbreak' was a minor incident—certainly not one that required the Third Prince Worcester's personal intervention.
He suspected the old king must be dissatisfied with his actions, which was why he was being sent away from the Imperial Capital.
Yet the old king had not pursued Worcester's behaviour too deeply, which was itself suspicious.
"Listen, Lord Ferros, rember this well. I can tolerate one failure. I can tolerate two. But if you keep failing like this, you'd better watch yourself!"
"Yes, Your Highness. Ferros will never disappoint you again. I will handle this undead outbreak for you so you may take the opportunity to relax and enjoy Yeton territory in the coming days."
Ferros said this, but Worcester rejected it outright.
"No need. Just do your own job. As for the undead outbreak, let the professionals handle it."
"Professionals?"
Ferros was puzzled, but at that mont, a middle-aged man in a blue mage robe entered.
"Lord Ferros, well t."
After performing a perfect noble salute, Ferros finally recognized the newcor.
"Master Annika—it's you!"
"Indeed, it is I. Under orders from His Highness the Third Prince and my ntor 'Desert Wind', I am here specifically to deal with this undead outbreak."
The man spoke gently. Put aside his profession, and the man seed truly amiable.
Annika Vilary, from the Imperial Mage Academy, instructor in necromancy, and also one of the favorite disciples of the Great Great Mage 'Desert Wind'.
"You are already acquainted, I believe. So let Annika handle this undead incident—you focus on assigning guards to assist him."
"As you command, Your Highness."
Ferros agreed, but what confused him was: for a re undead outbreak, did the Empire really need Annika to handle it personally?
Wasn't that a tad excessive?
He did not know—and perhaps shouldn't know.
...
The next morning, with the "help" of Lola and Vina, Serea finished washing up, got dressed, and rose from bed. Gradually, she was getting used to being cared for in this way, as if she had truly beco a queen.
Accompanied by her two elven attendants, Serea left the wooden house. Just outside, she saw the assembled Skeleton Warriors already waiting in formation.
"Are you all ready?"
Serea murmured, gazing down.
She saw Little Black and Little White standing at the front, behind them stood 14 battle-ready Skeleton Warriors.
There were also two more who had just been revived the previous day, now standing atop the distant wooden wall.
They would not participate in this operation, instead remaining to guard the Elven village and keep in touch with her.
"Not bad, not bad. Since everyone's ready, let's move out."
Serea said as she took Celia, Lola, and Vina with her, leaving the other elves to defend the village.
The elven villagers escorted Serea and the others to the wooden gates, where she waved goodbye.
"Your Highness, take care."
Doluka said this, and Serea replied,
"You too. If anything happens, my undead minions will let
know. Just guard the village."
"We will not fail Your Highness's expectations."
"Good. Then we're off."
After their final farewell, Serea led her now well-ford Skeleton Warrior unit deeper into the jungle.
And the "Addis Ancient Tomb" ntioned by the ghoul was there.
