If Tang Yue wasn’t certain before, she was now positive that Lian Qingqing knew her own background.

Otherwise, Lian Qingqing’s expression should have been one of shock and disbelief, imdiately refuting her words.

But Lian Qingqing’s current expression appeared more guilt-ridden, as if a secret deep in her heart had been unveiled.

"Lian Qingqing, you know your own background, don’t you?" Tang Yue’s statent was declarative.

Lian Qingqing’s complexion shifted. She had always maintained a benevolent facade, but now, her face contorted fiercely as she ground her teeth and said, "Tang Yue, what’s this about background or not? I am my father’s biological daughter, your thoughts are really cruel. In order to beco the one and only daughter of Dad, you deliberately claim I’m the biological one?"

"I also say you’re not the biological one." Lian Qingqing’s voice rose sharply by a few notches.

Seeing this, a faint smile ford on Tang Yue’s lips. Compared to Lian Qingqing’s panicked guilt and grinding teeth, Tang Yue was very calm, saying, "If I could, I really wouldn’t want to be Lian He’s daughter, I truly hope that I am my dad’s biological daughter."

"Whether you’re biological or not, it has nothing to do with , but if you keep causing trouble out of nothing, then who knows, I might just tell others all about it." Tang Yue’s bright eyes were full of warning.

She wasn’t interested in the Lian Family’s affairs.

"Hmph, what does it matter if you tell others? Do you think that just by saying so with your mouth, you could change anything?" Lian Qingqing feigned composure, unwilling to show any weakness in front of Tang Yue, yet unaware that the more unnatural she acted, the more it seed like she was covering sothing up.

"Xiao Yang is a good kid, I hope you can act like a real elder sister." After saying this, Tang Yue walked past Lian Qingqing and left.

She didn’t relax until she was out of the restroom. Normally, she wouldn’t be scared, but with a child in her belly, she naturally beca extrely cautious.

"Sister Xiao Yue? You’re here for a al too?" Lian Qingyang exclaid in surprise upon seeing Tang Yue.

"I brought my parents out for a al. What about you, are you with Lian Qingqing?" Tang Yue asked.

Lian Qingyang nodded happily and said, "Great, let’s eat together then, I’m sitting in a private room. Why didn’t you book a private room? Mr. Liu should have said sothing. Since you’re here, you deserve a private room too."

"No need, we’ve already finished our al, my parents wanted to dine in the main hall, that’s why we didn’t book a private room," Tang Yue interjected, "Xiao Yang, we need to get ho early, so I won’t talk for long."

Tang Yue returned to her seat, but Lian Qingyang persistently followed, greeting Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian all the way to the entrance before coming back.

In the restroom, after Tang Yue left, Lian Qingqing’s heart beca extrely unsettled.

Once, she was the Lian Family’s beloved daughter, the only young lady in the family. But now, Tang Yue had returned and received her father’s affection. She wondered, as daughters, surely the father wouldn’t be too excessive, yet why wasn’t she his biological daughter?

Lian Qingqing returned to her seat, her mind restless, not noticing Lian Qingyang’s hesitation to speak.

"I’m tired, let’s go ho," Lian Qingqing lost the mood to continue eating and wanted to go ho.

Once ho, Lian Qingqing imdiately called Xiang Yazhi.

"Qingqing, how is it? Enjoying your ti in Jing City?" Xiang Yazhi’s gentle voice ca through.

Lian Qingqing opened her mouth but didn’t know what to say.

The fact that she wasn’t Lian He’s biological daughter was sothing Xiang Yazhi had kept from her. If she asked, would Xiang Yazhi counter with where she got such information?

How would she respond then?

"It’s fine, Mom. The spring weather is unpredictable, so make sure to keep warm," Lian Qingqing changed the subject and chatted with Xiang Yazhi for a while before hanging up.

"Auntie, how co you’re in Jing City?" Tang Yue had taken Tang Zhengde and his wife ho when she surprisingly encountered Lian Tong.

"Auntie ca to see you, Xiao Yue." It was Lian Tong’s first eting with Tang Zhengde and his wife. Knowing that Tang Zhengde had raised Tang Yue, Lian Tong was very grateful to him.

Lian Tong quietly observed Zhang Hualian, thinking to herself how her big brother still missed her. She wondered if her brother had been out of his mind to have married Xiang Yazhi?

If Zhang Hualian could have been her sister-in-law, how wonderful that would have been.

Deep inside, Lian Tong had significant resentnt towards Lian He, but she didn’t dare show it on the surface, especially since Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian’s couple seed very loving, even after their children were grown, their relationship was one of mutual support and comfort.

Upon reflection, Lian Tong knew that her own brother could never be like Tang Zhengde.

"Xiao Yue, auntie brought you so things," said Lian Tong, revealing her purpose.

"Auntie, and Grandma Gu?" Tang Yue curiously asked, wondering if it was just her impression, but noticing Lian Tong’s darkened under eyes and low spirits.

ntioning Grandma Gu, Lian Tong’s eyes dimd.

A bad premonition rose in Tang Yue’s heart.

"Grandma has passed away, because..." Lian Tong started, but her eyes instantly reddened.

She choked up explaining about Grandma Gu; due to an accident, her already old body couldn’t hold on and she passed away.

"Auntie, we can’t bring the dead back to life, please be strong," consoled Tang Yue, gently patting Lian Tong’s shoulder. Grandma Gu’s kind smile seed like just yesterday, and Tang Yue hadn’t expected that in just a short two months, Grandma Gu would be gone.

"So, Auntie, did you co to Jing City because of that person?" Tang Yue abruptly asked, "Auntie, what about your husband? Are you safe?"

"No," Lian Tong shook her head, "This ti, my visit to Jing City is to give you sothing."

Lian Tong handed a suitcase to Tang Yue, saying, "Everything here, I’ve saved up over the years. Half of it is for you, and the other half is for Xiao Yang."

Upon opening the suitcase, there were many pieces of jewelry and two boxes containing bankbooks and various asset certificates, as well as transfer agreents.

One box had her na on it, and the other had Xiao Yang’s na.

"I ca here in disguise, making sure no one would find out. However, I can’t stay long, you take these things, and give Xiao Yang his share when the ti cos," Lian Tong carefully instructed, her words sounding like a last testant.

"Auntie, what are you planning to do? Keep these things for your children," Tang Yue held Lian Tong’s hand, "Auntie, I don’t want these things. I just want Auntie to be safe and sound. You and your husband have finally ended up together; you mustn’t do anything foolish."

Tang Yue urgently spoke, fearful that Lian Tong might lose hope.
