"These braised pork ribs are my first attempt, hurry up and try them." Tang Yue placed the succulent braised pork ribs in front of ng Siyu, eagerly awaiting his taste test.

"They’re bound to be delicious." ng Siyu looked at the ribs, and without even tasting them, could already sll the aroma; the glossy braised pork ribs were an appetizing sight.

After he tried a piece, he couldn’t stop nodding and praising, "The dishes my wife makes are always delicious. Co on, have so at."

ng Siyu picked up a piece of rib for her.

"I can get it myself." She felt awkward biting into the rib he was holding.

ng Siyu simply put down his chopsticks, grabbed the rib with his hand, and offered it to Tang Yue. As she bit into it, ng Siyu moved in closer and bit the other end. The rib was only so big, and Tang Yue thought he wanted so at, so she took a big bite and filled her mouth. While chewing, she was amused to see that ng Siyu was left with nothing but a bone. She couldn’t help but laugh, "Hmph, there’s so much in the plate that you won’t eat, but you have to snatch mine, serves you right."

ng Siyu chewed on the bone a few tis, his gaze constantly on Tang Yue, who was curving her brows into a smile, looking very lovely.

After cleaning the bone entirely, he said, "I just like to eat what you’ve eaten."

"You don’t mind the saliva?" Tang Yue said with so disgust as she ate, but the smile on her lips stayed high.

"I don’t mind, haven’t I eaten your saliva before?" ng Siyu said calmly.

Tang Yue nearly choked. Could his skin get any thicker?

’Knock knock knock’

The urgent knocking on the door rang out. Tang Yue, puzzled, asked, "Who is it?"

ng Siyu got up to open the door and saw the newlyweds, Gu Chun and Lian Tong, looking anxious as they ca in.

"ng Siyu, how’s Xiao Yue? Has nobody attacked her?" Lian Tong hurriedly walked in, asking as she did until she saw Tang Yue by the dining table, happily eating. Her mind then eased.

"Auntie, Uncle, have you eaten? Would you like to join us?" Tang Yue warmly invited them.

"We haven’t." Lian Tong sat down and asked, "Xiao Yue, did anyone follow you today, or try to take you away?"

"What’s going on?" ng Siyu brought two pairs of bowls and chopsticks over, his brows furrowing.

There was nothing amiss with Xiao Yue when he ca back today.

"Uh..." Tang Yue glanced at ng Siyu guiltily. She hadn’t figured out how to explain today’s events yet.

But who knew, Aunt and Uncle would arrive.

"Is that so?" Seeing her expression, Lian Tong urgently asked, "Did you get hurt?"

"Cough."

Tang Yue cleared her throat and answered, "Here’s what happened: I did indeed encounter soone following today, but, luckily, I ran into soone I know. It was Xie Ziyue, the sa person who drove Grandma Gu to the hospital and paid US$ 1,000 for her dical fees. He saved ."

"Xie Zihao’s brother?" ng Siyu felt the na sounded familiar.

"Yes, he said he has an older brother in the school who knows you," Tang Yue relayed.

Lian Tong and Gu Chun both breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Xiao Yue, these next few days, if you go out, don’t go alone. We’ll find soone to protect you."

"There’s no need." Tang Yue was just about to decline.

ng Siyu then said, "That would be troubleso for Aunt; Wu Xin is coming to Jin City in a couple of days. Then Xiao Yue will have soone for protection."

Tang Yue felt sowhat guilty and dared not look at ng Siyu.

ng Siyu and Gu Chun had a long conversation before the couple finally left together.

"Si Yu, I was planning to tell you after dinner, but who knew, auntie and uncle arrived so suddenly." Tang Yue emphasized the credibility of her words with a firm nod: "Really, I’m not lying."

"Okay." ng Siyu pulled her into his embrace, his chin rubbing against her hair, and said, "Wait until auntie’s people arrive, and then go out. Even when auntie’s people co, you must be careful."

The worry in ng Siyu’s eyes never ceased.

Tang Yue hugged him actively and said, "Don’t worry, am I not safe and sound? I plan to stay at ho these few days making clothes, drawing designs, and not going out. Nothing should happen in broad daylight at ho, so you can stop worrying."

"You’re coming with to the company." ng Siyu declared, feeling assured only when Tang Yue was by his side.

"Auntie’s people are very capable, don’t you trust auntie?" Tang Yue looked up at him.

ng Siyu kissed her forehead and said, "It’s also cold weather, just stay at ho. I’ll go buy groceries in the morning, so you won’t even need to step outside."

"Okay."

Tang Yue had visited two shops and now there was no need to go out. As for groceries, ng Siyu would handle it, so she didn’t have to worry about that either, which was perfect for staying in and working on her clothes and designs.

The New Year was coming up, and Tang Yue had a lot to take care of, with the past few days already being quite delayed.

...

"Si Yu, you’re in such a rush to get ho, really... favoring your wife over your friends." Qin Anhao originally wanted to have a chat with ng Siyu.

But once it was ti, ng Siyu wanted to leave early, which made Qin Anhao feel quite down.

"My wife, of course, is the most important. You could also get yourself a wife." ng Siyu didn’t feel there was anything wrong with favoring his wife over his friends.

His wife was with him, despite the background of leaving her hotown, should he not rush ho to accompany her instead of staying here and staring at Qin Anhao?

"Si Yu, you can’t just leave hanging. I’ll co to your place for dinner today." Qin Anhao looked at him expectantly, and before ng Siyu could even respond, he quickly added, "Don’t worry, I’ll make sure not to disturb you guys, I just want to..."

"It’s late." ng Siyu cut him off.

Qin Anhao was about to ask why.

"Qin Anhao, so you’re here? Let’s go to the shooting range, today I’m going to beat you for sure." Xie Ziyao was brimming with competitive spirit.

Qin Anhao was about to say that he was going for dinner at ng Siyu’s ho, but ng Siyu intercepted, saying, "Then you guys should hurry up and compete. I’m going ho."

With those words, ng Siyu ran off, leaving so quickly that Qin Anhao didn’t even have a chance to speak.

Favoring his wife over his friends, indeed!

Leaving him in the lurch.

Qin Anhao turned around and forced a smile, saying, "Xie Ziyao, you’re just a young girl, and I’m an old man. It’s so boring for you to pester for a competition, you should make friends with people closer to your own age."

"I like competing with you." Xie Ziyao cast him a sideways glance, asking, "What, you look down on ?"

"Of course not."

Qin Anhao sighed inwardly. This young girl Xie Ziyao didn’t an any harm. When she was repeatedly confessing to ng Siyu, Qin Anhao just watched for fun, never expecting the tables would turn.

No, Xie Ziyao was like a tornt sent by the heavens.

Competing with a young girl, there’s no sense of achievent in winning.
