Half an hour flew by in an instant.

"Take good care of yourself, don’t get hurt," Tang Yue earnestly instructed ng Siyu, her eyes unwaveringly fixed on him, unwilling to blink or look away.

"Okay." ng Siyu kissed her on the lips and promised, "Wife, I will definitely co back safe and sound."

"I’m leaving." ng Siyu’s voice was sowhat husky as he pushed Tang Yue back and said, "Go back, Bai Qing is waiting for you to eat."

"I won’t, I’ll wait until you get on the car before I leave." Tang Yue stubbornly refused to leave, even content just watching his back.

"Wife, wait for to return."

As soon as ng Siyu finished speaking, he got into the car without looking back, afraid that if he did, he wouldn’t bear to leave.

The car quickly disappeared at the end of the road, and Tang Yue couldn’t bring herself to move.

"Xiao Yue, he will co back safely," Bai Qing, holding her belly, comforted her, "I’m hungry, let’s go eat. An Chong made big shrimp, and it tastes really good."

She was pregnant, and although she couldn’t eat much, having a few to satisfy her cravings was still okay.

"Sister Qing, I also believe he will co back safely."

Tang Yue lowered her eyes and hid the tumultuous emotions welling up inside them.

Since ng Siyu left, Tang Yue had been worried about receiving bad news, resulting in restless sleep every night.

Even Wu Xin had asked her several tis if she had anything on her mind.

When Bai Qing ca to see her, she knew it was because of ng Siyu’s situation, but Tang Yue was clear—if the mission weren’t so difficult, why would An Chong have sent ng Siyu?

Even though ng Siyu said nothing, it didn’t an Tang Yue wasn’t aware.

Because she knew, Tang Yue couldn’t sleep well at night; Bai Qing tried to comfort her, but it was of no use at all, and she couldn’t even speak a word about the mission that ng Siyu ca to discuss, where one slip could cost him his life.

That’s also why, even if there were only half an hour left, ng Siyu still had to see Tang Yue one last ti.

Tang Yue’s anxiety was not eased by Bai Qing’s comfort; ng Siyu was strong, but even the strongest can falter sotis.

Within just half a month, Tang Yue had lost weight. During the day, she was busy and didn’t have ti to worry, working late until midnight. During the night, she had been busy with her design drafts after studying during the day.

After twelve, when it was ti to rest in bed, the quiet of the deep night often kept Tang Yue awake.

Seeing Tang Yue’s condition worsen, Bai Qing insisted on moving into Tang Yue’s house, and An Chong’s mournful puppy-dog eyes made Tang Yue shiver.

"Sister Qing, I’m fine. I just can’t sleep at night and often have nightmares. There’s really nothing to worry about." Tang Yue also worried about Bai Qing’s pregnancy.

But Bai Qing was not reassured and insisted on staying with Tang Yue overnight.

Twenty days after ng Siyu left, he called to say he was safe. Hearing his safe voice on the phone imdiately eased her heart.

"You’re not hurt, are you?" The major weight in Tang Yue’s heart was lifted, yet in the next mont she was worried about whether he had been injured.

"No." ng Siyu’s voice was as usual, with no change whatsoever.

Next to him, Li Wei and Yan Dong were biting their lips fiercely, Li Wei’s hand covering ng Siyu’s chest, fresh blood seeping profusely through his fingers. Ti equates to life.

"That’s good," Tang Yue said sweetly, "then when I return to the country, I’ll co to Jin City to find you."

"Okay." ng Siyu’s brows were tightly furrowed, sweat beads the size of beans appeared on his forehead, he said, "Wife, I’ll wait for you to co back."

"Well of course, if you don’t wait for , who else would you wait for?" Tang Yue said giggling, just as there was sothing else she needed to attend to.

ng Siyu said, "Wife, I miss you."

The next instant, the phone call was abruptly cut off.

Tang Yue didn’t even have ti to call back before she heard a ’beep... beep...’ sound from the receiver.

"That was quick," Tang Yue muttered, knowing that he was safe and unhard, she felt relieved. She raised a radiant smile, even making her work feel more pleasant.

On the other end of the phone, after ng Siyu hung up, he was rushed into the operating room. This mission was completed flawlessly, but ng Siyu was still injured. Before he passed out, ng Siyu barely managed to assure Tang Yue of his safety. Her voice from the phone gave him the courage to face everything.

In the operating room which continued for seven to eight hours before it was finally deed a success, ng Siyu was pushed into the ICU.

"Dongzi, originally, that should have been lying there," Li Wei’s eyes were bloodshot. The scene was too chaotic at that mont, he didn’t know how he almost got hacked, but ng Siyu suddenly appeared and pushed him away, using his own body to protect the sir.

"Da Wei, Brother ng took a hit; it was truly a life and death mont. If you were in that position at that ti, it would have been a direct blow to the head," Yan Dong was too far away during the incident, he saw everything clearly but couldn’t save him in ti.

"Da Wei, you don’t think Brother ng took the credit from you, do you?" Zhao Xiangqian suddenly said.

Li Wei punched Zhao Xiangqian, biting his teeth and saying, "Without Brother ng, I’d be dead, what’s there to talk about credit? Are you looking for a fight?"

At that mont, Li Wei thought he was unquestionably going to die, and now, he was unscathed, but ng Siyu was lying in bed, his fate uncertain.

Through the glass window, Li Wei looked at ng Siyu with various tubes inserted into him, wishing it was him who was injured instead.

"That’s settled then, Brother ng saved your life, you better cherish it," Zhao Xiangqian rubbed the spot where he was hit by the fist, muttering, "I just wanted to lighten the mood seeing you distressed!"

"Hmph." Li Wei snorted coldly, standing rigidly in front of the glass window, staring without blinking, as if by watching like this, he could sohow heal ng Siyu’s body.

When ng Jin received the ssage and rushed over, ng Siyu was already in the ICU.

"Mr. ng."

Li Wei and the other two said uniformly.

ng Jin waved his hand and asked, "How is Si Yu’s condition?"

ng Jin’s eyes were slightly red, on the way here, he dared not tell Mo Xiaolin, fearing she couldn’t handle it.

"The doctor said if Brother ng wakes up by tomorrow morning, then there will be no issues," Zhao Xiangqian replied.

Li Wei added, "Brother ng will definitely wake up."

"Good, I believe he will wake up as well," ng Jin breathed a sigh of relief when he saw them. It was good that the surgery was safe. Upon hearing that ng Siyu was injured, ng Jin could barely stand steady; his legs trembled as he rushed over.

He and Xiaolin have only this one son!
