Tang Yue personally handled each stage from drawing the design sketches, selecting the fabrics, cutting, to creating the final garnt. By the ti the garnt was completed, even Tang Yue herself was shocked by its beauty.
These designs, inspired in monts of creativity and paired with the right fabrics, turned out more beautiful than Tang Yue had anticipated.
She happily tried it on and excitedly showed it off to Wu Xin.
The off-shoulder dress, in pure white, featured a few flowers adorning its hem and added a waistband that accentuated her slender waist, making the relatively simple style unexpectedly elegant and graceful.
"Does it look good?" Tang Yue asked Wu Xin, twirling in front of him with a beaming smile and twinkling eyes.
Wu Xin, as a woman, couldn’t help but feel her heart race at the sight of Tang Yue in that dress.
She nodded and said, "It looks beautiful."
"But how does such a simple dress look so stunning?" Wu Xin thoughtfully examined the dress. The off-shoulder design beautifully showcased Tang Yue’s delicate collarbones, and her fair neck was adorned with a clavicle chain that matched well with the silver-white chain.
"Of course," boasted Tang Yue, cheerfully pulling the waistband off and then tying it back on.
Now Wu Xin understood.
The plain white dress was indeed enhanced by Tang Yue’s addition of the waistband.
Confidently, Tang Yue made ten sets of clothes and shipped them back to the mainland, along with the fabrics.
Jing City.
Qin Anyu was pregnant, and her belly was now prominently bulging. Having passed the morning sickness phase, Qin Anyu was enjoying her food more, and had noticeably gained weight.
"Chu Hong!" Qin Anyu exclaid one morning. Her previously loose clothes no longer fit; they got stuck around her belly. Pinching the new layers of fat on her arms and legs, she glared at Chu Hong, "It’s all your fault, look how much I’ve put on!"
Qin Anyu was really upset; the pregnancy had changed her figure.
"An Yu, looking a bit plumper is prettier. You were too skinny before," Chu Hong reassured her as he hugged her, enjoying the feel of her extra softness.
Now that Qin Anyu had gained so weight, Chu Hong thought she looked even more beautiful and was quite proud of it.
"Where does it look good? I can’t fit into my clothes anymore," Qin Anyu pouted.
"No worries, we’ll get bigger ones," Chu Hong replied as he picked out a maternity outfit from the wardrobe in a pale color that Qin Anyu liked. His words were as sweet as honey, coaxing her to try on the loose garnt.
Qin Anyu indeed felt much more comfortable.
"An Yu, how does it look, doesn’t it look great?" Chu Hong held Qin Anyu’s hand, tightening the clothes around her body to showcase her bulging belly more prominently. He said softly, "Our child is growing here. I think you are at your most beautiful now."
In the mirror, Chu Hong and Qin Anyu’s eyes t, his gaze was filled with love, and so was hers.
Qin Anyu, initially upset about gaining weight, now radiated a maternal glow. She gently caressed her belly, feeling the baby’s movents, and her gloomy mood instantly cleared, becoming sunny and bright.
The couple, brought together by their child, were now joyful, settling down a potential argunt into complete calmness.
When the people at the factory said the courier had arrived, Qin Anyu imdiately thought of Tang Yue’s call.
Tang Yue said she had sent over so sample garnts.
Qin Anyu, escorted by Chu Hong to the factory, brought the fabrics and finished garnts into the sample room. The mont she shook out the clothes, Qin Anyu’s eyes widened and she exclaid, "Beautiful, I’ll try them on first."
Normally, she could wear the clothes Tang Yue made and instinctively wanted to try them on, but Chu Hong hurriedly stopped her, saying, "An Yu, wait until you’ve had the baby before trying these clothes."
Only then did Qin Anyu realize, she was pregnant. She couldn’t fit into those beautiful clothes, and she looked at Chu Hong with a look of lancholy.
"It’s my fault," Chu Hong preempted what Qin Anyu was about to say.
Qin Anyu pouted; she couldn’t wear the clothes, but hanging them up to admire was still a joy. Qin Anyu, looking at the fabric, imdiately arranged for the tailors to start making the clothes.
The experienced tailors, working from Tang Yue’s design drawings, first made the patterns, then chose the colors, and finally started production.
That night, Qin Anyu, taking advantage of the ti difference, called Tang Yue in F country.
"Do the clothes look good?" Tang Yue, accurately guessing the date, expected Qin Anyu’s call.
"They look good."
Qin Anyu’s voice was muffled.
Tang Yue, puzzled, asked, "What’s wrong, Sister An Yu? Who upset you? Chu Hong?"
"You," Qin Anyu pursed her lips and adjusted to a comfortable position, her hand resting on her stomach, feeling the baby move inside, and said with a unique feeling in her heart, "Xiao Yue, the clothes are indeed beautiful, and that’s precisely why I’m upset."
At first, Tang Yue didn’t catch on, but then, recalling the situation, she understood—Sister An Yu was pregnant.
Considering she was about seven months along, her belly was quite big. She couldn’t fit into any of those clothes, no wonder the ever-fashionable Qin Anyu was upset.
An idea struck Tang Yue as she thought of the three pregnant won: Sister An Yu, little aunt, and Sister Qing. Maybe she should make so maternity wear?
She had overlooked this issue.
After hanging up the phone, Tang Yue started making preparations.
Maternity wear, actually, was easy to design: roomy and comfortable, all-cotton and breathable. She could also be creative with the style. Most importantly, it allowed the child to develop well and gave the adults suitable clothes to wear.
Now, in 1991, there wasn’t really a concept of maternity wear; most just wore oversized clothes for comfort, hardly fashionable.
With this in mind, Tang Yue decided to proceed. Qin Anyu and Wei Jiajia’s due dates were about a month apart.
Tang Yue personally got involved, and once she started, she couldn’t stop, making about ten garnts. After so thought, she made two sets of each and then shipped them back ho.
As for Sister Qing, she wouldn’t be giving birth until winter or spring. By then, Tang Yue could make so winter clothes separately.
When Qin Anyu and Wei Jiajia received their clothes, they were thrilled. After washing them, they imdiately put them on. The clothes were very beautiful, roomy, and comfortable. And most importantly, they looked great!
