Mo Siyu took a deep breath, stood up, and knocked on the neighboring room's door.
"Co in." Mo Xiaolin sobbed as she spoke, having already cried once in the room just now. She had waited for him for twenty-seven years, spending the best years of her life waiting.
"Mom." Mo Siyu's tall and slender figure stood at the door. Seeing the strong Mo Xiaolin with tears soaked into her pillow struck Mo Siyu's tender heart.
Since he had grown up, he had rarely seen Mo Xiaolin cry.
"Tomorrow, I'll take you to see him," Mo Siyu stepped forward, squatting in front of her, holding her hands, "No matter what decisions you two make about being together or not, I will respect your decision."
"Do you acknowledge him?" Mo Xiaolin asked, holding his hand back—even as he squatted, he was only slightly shorter than her. His features, softer, resembled hers more, but the heroic expression between his brows resembled ng Jin's.
Mo Xiaolin blinked her moist eyes, filled with anticipation. Latest content published on N0velFire.ɴet
After thinking ng Jin was dead, Mo Xiaolin never spoke to Mo Siyu about him, not even ntioning anything related to ng Jin at ho, Mo Xiaolin never thought of telling Mo Siyu.
Because she had thought ng Jin was dead.
But now it's different, ng Jin is still very much alive, and he has been looking for her all this ti. She felt that this wait was worth it and naturally hoped that Mo Siyu would also acknowledge ng Jin.
"Mom, whether I acknowledge him or not, let's wait until I have t him," Mo Siyu diverted the topic.
Mo Xiaolin felt sowhat disappointed, but her son, whom she raised by herself, she knew his temperant—perhaps he was just distressed for her.
Well, she would let the father and son deal with their matters.
It's all her fault. If only she had known that ng Jin was still alive, she would not have kept silent about ng Jin as before, causing Mo Siyu to have no impression of the father he'd never t.
"Mom, Si Yu, dinner is ready." Tang Yue quickly reheated the dishes and served them again on the table. Although they didn't look as appealing, they still slled delicious.
Having been hungry for a while, Tang Yue eagerly also wanted to eat, captivated by the scent of the dishes.
"Mom, nothing is more important than eating when you're hungry," Tang Yue pulled Mo Xiaolin to sit down, deliberately changing the subject to distract Mo Xiaolin.
The three of them sat together at the table, putting aside other thoughts and focusing on satisfying their hunger.
However, this al was destined to be unfinished.
'Knock, knock, knock'
The sound of knocking startled Tang Yue, her food still not swallowed, her big rounded eyes glared towards the door, almost as if she could bore a hole through it.
It was already dark outside, who could it be?
Tang Yue wondered.
Mo Xiaolin didn't think much, recognizing ng Jin was just a coincidence.
Mo Siyu put down his chopsticks to open the door. The mont his hand touched the cold doorknob, a thought flashed through his mind—the person outside, was ng Jin.
Turning the doorknob, as the door opened, ng Jin stood at the door in a white shirt. In terms of height, Mo Siyu was a bit taller than ng Jin, with thick black eyebrows and eyes that were unmistakably similar to ng Siyu's.
During the mont ng Jin knocked, he was guessing who would co to open the door, and seeing the tall and handso Mo Siyu, a sense of pride surged in his heart.
This is the son borne by Xiaolin for him.
ng Jin gazed intently at Mo Siyu. In the past, he greatly admired Mo Siyu. He was outstanding; even though he ca from a humble background, he used his abilities to make everyone look up to him. Even Mr. ng, before the incident involving ng Yanzhi, whenever he ntioned Mo Siyu, it was always with great praise, especially when compared to ng Yanzhi.
Mr. ng felt even more frustrated with ng Yanzhi for not living up to his expectations.
His son was not raised by his side and he didn't even know of his existence, but Mo Xiaolin still brought him up excellently.
ng Jin felt a multitude of emotions in his heart, looking at Mo Siyu as if he had a lot to say, but whenever he opened his mouth, he didn't know what to say.
"Mo." ng Jin began to speak but paused, feeling that calling his full na was too unfamiliar, too strange, so he changed it and said, "Si Yu, I..."
Once ng Jin opened his mouth, he didn't know what to say. He had many things to say before entering, but upon seeing him, ng Jin didn't know how to begin.
"Mr. ng, please co in." Mo Siyu turned his body to the side, guessing that since ng Jin had guessed it already, having their eting a day earlier wouldn't hurt.
Mr. ng.
Upon hearing this na and ng Jin's voice, Mo Xiaolin turned her head only to see ng Jin, the man who had always been in her dreams, now truly standing before her. The tears that had just stopped were threatening to burst forth again.
Mo Xiaolin, overwheld with emotion, stood up and upon closely seeing ng Jin, she realized, ng Jin had aged a lot, his frost-white temples adding a sense of ti-burdened weariness to his appearance.
"Brother Jin." Mo Xiaolin's lips trembled, her gaze never leaving ng Jin.
"Xiaolin."
ng Jin was imnsely moved. He strode forward. Xiaolin, after twenty-seven years, hadn't changed much. Ti had only added a charm to her, under fifty, her face gentle, as tender and beautiful as he rembered, and even her air, refined by the years, was of an intellectual beauty.
ng Jin's hand tremblingly reached out but halted midway. He was well aware that he had aged quite a bit, yet Mo Xiaolin was still beautiful.
Suddenly, ng Jin regretted why he hadn't taken better care of himself in the past.
"Brother Jin." Mo Xiaolin took his hand.
Her tear-filled eyes looked at him with deep affection, mirroring the turmoil in his heart.
"Xiaolin, I've finally found you," ng Jin said, feeling her enduring love and no longer able to restrain himself, pulled her into his embrace.
Tang Yue had not managed to swallow her food and almost choked on it. Seeing this, Mo Siyu hurriedly pulled Tang Yue into the room.
The door closed, and only then did Mo Xiaolin realize, their son and future daughter-in-law were still there.
Mo Xiaolin was about to push ng Jin away when Mo Siyu ca out again, and seeing them still embraced, he said, "Mom, you two continue."
Mo Siyu quickly took Tang Yue's bowl, grabbed a dish, and hurried back into the room.
"This cheeky kid," Mo Xiaolin laughed and cursed, not realizing that her tear-streaked smiling face looked so beautiful in ng Jin's eyes.
When Mo Xiaolin raised her head, she saw ng Jin looking at her with a silly grin, just like in the old days.
"Xiaolin." ng Jin grinned, not caring about his son and daughter-in-law at all; he had found his wife, and after twenty-seven years, he finally brought her back.
