Mr. ng picked up the docunts, and as he read what was clearly written on them, the disappointnt in his heart towards ng Yanzhi deepened.
Usually, Mr. ng was aware of most troubles caused by ng Yanzhi, but here were so he did not know about.
Driving a car and killing soone, yet being covered for by ng Yanzhi’s own father.
At school, forcing soone else to drop out.
Mr. ng only looked through two pages of the docunts before he set them down, not intending to read any further. He took a long sigh and said, "I will send Yanzhi abroad. He will not disturb your lives anymore."
"As for Mr. Lian’s injuries, our ng Family will take full responsibility." Mr. ng seed to have aged several years in just one day, even his wrinkles had multiplied. He said, "I know you might feel that the punishnt for Yanzhi is not enough, but even though Yanzhi is not the biological son of my son ng Jin, he was raised by my side since he was a child, no different from my own grandson."
"Mo Siyu, do you understand the feelings of a grandfather?" Mr. ng looked deeply at Mo Siyu, who was only five or six years older than ng Yanzhi, but from every aspect, Mr. ng had to admit that ng Yanzhi was not even close to Mo Siyu’s toes.
Although he may be a distant and irrelevant child, having raised him for nearly twenty years, Mr. ng had grown fond of him. He said, "Consider it a plea from Yanzhi’s grandfather, from now on, Yanzhi will be abroad, if not forever, at least he will not be the one to take over the ng Family."
Originally, Mr. ng had thought about handing over everything of the ng Family to ng Yanzhi in the future, and had always planned it that way. His only son, ng Jin, had also been unhappy with him over this issue. Although ng Jin never said he didn’t want ng Yanzhi to inherit the ng Family, his actions spoke for themselves.
He had spent the entire previous night pondering and had made up his mind that no matter what, ng Yanzhi must be protected. Even though disappointed in him, he wanted him to live well thereafter. However, ng Yanzhi had always been raised to take over the ng Family, and now, going abroad ant he would no longer be the sa as before.
Mo Siyu was sowhat surprised to hear this, but after a mont, he understood. Any one of these issues, if he wanted to bring them to light, ng Yanzhi wouldn’t just be going abroad; he would definitely be caught and it’s uncertain how many years he would be locked up.
Taking a step back now saves ng Yanzhi’s face.
Mo Siyu fell silent. He was determined to stand up for Xiao Yue the day before; ng Yanzhi had repeatedly troubled Xiao Yue, and if he turned a blind eye, he wouldn’t be Mo Siyu.
Thus, at the first sign of trouble, Mo Siyu brought the evidence he had collected before, along with yesterday’s incident, to et with old Mr. ng directly.
"Mo Siyu, don’t you believe my words?" Mr. ng, seeing that he remained silent for a long ti, thought he disagreed.
Mo Siyu said, "Mr. ng, I believe you."
...
After a long while, following Mo Siyu’s departure, Mr. ng sat there. The mottled sunlight filtered through the leaves and fell on Mr. ng, who took a long sigh.
Returning to the ng residence, ng Yanzhi was in the courtyard, craning his neck looking around. Seeing Mr. ng return, he hurried over and said, "Grandfather, you went out so early?"
"Grandfather, I made breakfast, would you like so?" ng Yanzhi pointed to the noodles on the table and said, "I made scallion noodles today, Grandfather..."
ng Yanzhi’s ingratiating smile was overly conspicuous.
Mr. ng glanced at him and went inside. The scallion noodles on the table had gone cold.
"Grandfather, I’ll warm it up for you..." ng Yanzhi didn’t finish his sentence.
Mr. ng interrupted, "Yanzhi, I’ve had breakfast. Co here."
Mr. ng sat in the living room and said, "Today, go apologize to Tang and Mr. Lian. Also, I have had Qu Feng prepare your docunts for going abroad. You’ll leave on tomorrow morning’s plane."
ng Yanzhi had a rush of words, all stuck in his throat. Apologizing he understood, but going abroad he did not.
Since childhood, Mr. ng always told him that he would take over the ng Family in the future. Originally, he was supposed to go to the company, but he was utterly unwilling and barely managed to get into Jinghua University with bottom-of-the-barrel grades. Mr. ng never had low expectations of him.
But now, suddenly going abroad?
ng Yanzhi’s heart began to panic.
"Grand... Grandfather..." ng Yanzhi’s voice trembled.
Mr. ng sat upright in his chair, but said no more, quietly sipping hot tea.
ng Yanzhi kept looking at Mr. ng, for a long ti, until Mr. ng left, and only then did he hear Qu Feng’s reminder, "Yanzhi, it’s ti to go to the hospital."
"Uncle Qu, has Grandfather... given up on ?" ng Yanzhi’s voice was soft, his gaze at Qu Feng blank, like a small lost animal.
Qu Feng couldn’t bear to see ng Yanzhi like this and only sighed deeply, trying to comfort him, "Stay abroad for a year or two, by the ti this matter is forgotten, by the ti..." he didn’t know how to finish the sentence.
Mr. ng’s intentions, which he knew clearly from following Mr. ng for so long, dawned on ng Yanzhi as well.
"Uncle Qu, let’s go to the hospital," ng Yanzhi said, much more subdued, quieter. On the way to the hospital, ng Yanzhi hardly said a word.
Upon arriving at the hospital, hearing from Qu Feng in which ward to find him, ng Yanzhi walked all the way to the ward. Just as he arrived, he ran into Bai Qing, who upon seeing ng Yanzhi, imdiately beca aggressive.
"Student, he is here to apologize," Qu Feng stepped forward to block in front of ng Yanzhi.
Bai Qing sneered, "Heh, stab soone then apologize? How about I try it?" Cold indifference was surfacing in Bai Qing’s eyes.
Qu Feng wanted to argue on behalf of ng Yanzhi, but ng Yanzhi said, "Uncle Qu."
"Bai Qing, whether you believe it or not, I am here to apologize." ng Yanzhi’s whole deanor had changed from before; the previous ng Yanzhi was a reckless spendthrift, a playboy who even when trying to appear serious couldn’t conceal his unreliable temperant in his eyes.
Now, ng Yanzhi had quietened down, and even his eyes had beco tranquil.
Bai Qing remained on guard, fearing that ng Yanzhi had so ulterior motive.
"Bai Qing, let him in," ca a shout from inside the ward. Lian Qingyang, after a day’s rest, had his eyes more swollen, barely able to squint. Hearing ng Yanzhi’s voice, Lian Qingyang wished he could get out of bed and teach him a lesson.
