"Xiao Yue." Mo Siyu, who had already been enduring enough hardship, felt almost overwheld as Tang Yue teased him.
His deep eyes, appeared even more profound than usual.
Tang Yue put her hands on his shoulders, lifted her head slightly to et his gaze. She had just leaned in, not yet speaking, when she felt a force on her back, and suddenly, she was embraced in his arms.
"Don’t ignite the fire." Mo Siyu’s husky voice sounded, tightly holding her even though he knew it didn’t help calm his body quickly, but he couldn’t bear to let go of her delicate, soft body.
It was hard enough waiting for the weekend, but he was busy every day, even though Tang Yue ca to the squad, they didn’t have much ti together.
"I can put out the fire," Tang Yue responded in a weak voice.
Mo Siyu’s body trembled slightly, he slowly released his hands, his forehead resting against hers, his deep eyes staring into hers, he said, "Do you realize what you’re saying?"
"Um." Tang Yue nodded almost imperceptibly, her words were spoken and there was no taking them back, she simply went all out and said, "After all, in this lifeti, you will only marry , and I will only marry you, so we might as well start early..."
"No." Mo Siyu silenced her next words with his lips, a kiss light as a dragonfly touching water, quickly pulling away, he said, "Xiao Yue, although I really want us to be officially together soon, I don’t want you to get pregnant so early."
Tang Yue looked at him blankly.
A slight smile appeared on Mo Siyu’s lips, he said, "If you really care about , on your twentieth birthday, let’s go get our marriage certificate, alright?"
"Um." Tang Yue nodded, in front of her was Mo Siyu’s handso face and his doting smile.
Mo Siyu held her tightly, as if he was holding the whole world.
"Doesn’t holding the whole ti make it more difficult for you?" Tang Yue’s weak voice ca from his chest.
"I’m willing to bear the discomfort," Mo Siyu held her tight, no one spoke again, until his body gradually cald down and returned to normal, he then released his hands, facing Tang Yue’s concerned look, Mo Siyu couldn’t help but laugh and joked, "Xiao Yue, shouldn’t you work on strengthening your body?"
"I do run."
The topic jumped too quickly, Tang Yue didn’t understand the implication of his words.
After a mont, facing his aningful gaze, she realized what he ant by strengthening the body.
She glared at him fiercely, pushed him away, and sat down far from him on the sofa, saying, "I’m not talking to you anymore."
She casually picked up the sketchbook beside her and focused on drawing.
"What would you like for dinner? I’ll bring it back for you," Mo Siyu leaned over and asked.
Tang Yue looked at him suspiciously.
Mo Siyu didn’t wait for a reply, and said on his own, "There are no crayfish now, but there are other shrimps and clams, all things you like, and I can buy so beef too, how about that?"
"Are you going to the city?" Tang Yue asked instead of answering.
Mo Siyu nodded, "Yes, I’m making a trip, but I’ll be back in the afternoon."
"Oh." Tang Yue then ordered a few more dishes, they were not leaving until tomorrow afternoon, they could cook several dishes at noon.
"Can the two of us really finish all this food?" Mo Siyu listened as Tang Yue listed the dishes, easily counting ten dishes.
"Invite your friends over to eat." Tang Yue said matter-of-factly: "Tomorrow is the weekend, and I’m going back to the city in the afternoon. I’ve co here so many tis and haven’t yet hosted a al for them. You usually eat at their places, don’t you?"
"Xiao Yue is really thoughtful." Mo Siyu praised, and then hurriedly left the house.
That day, Mo Siyu began to invite people — Qin Anhao, Zhao Xiangqian, Yan Dong, and Li Wei were the original four, but in the end, a few others also expressed interest in trying Tang Yue’s cooking, so the group of four turned into ten.
When Tang Yue heard this, she remained calm and simply asked Mo Siyu to add a few more dishes.
Tang Yue had bought twenty sets of dishes and utensils for the house. Though two people wouldn’t need so many, a household always has guests visiting.
These were prepared in advance, and now they ca in handy.
Tang Yue got up early and busied herself.
Mo Siyu got up too, trying to help out as much as he could; he couldn’t cook, but he had no problem washing vegetables.
Mo Siyu was worried Tang Yue couldn’t handle everything alone, so he washed all the vegetables before going to work.
Tang Yue assured him, "Don’t worry, when you guys eat lunch, there will definitely be a table full of delicious dishes."
She seriously chopped and prepared the ingredients, sowhat helpless at Mo Siyu’s worrying.
Just after Mo Siyu left, Jiang Lan ca knocking on the door. The Jiang family, along with Jiang Lan, were also coming over for lunch, and she ca early to help.
Tang Yue actually had a good impression of Jiang Lan. Although most of the work was done, Jiang Lan still helped out.
"Xiao Yue, I didn’t expect your cooking to be so impressive." As soon as Jiang Lan finished speaking, she felt she had misspoken and quickly added, "Xiao Yue, I an, you seem like a city person, no, I’m just bad with words."
"It’s okay, Sister-in-law Liu, my dad owned a restaurant, so I learned quite a bit there. Besides, I was born and grew up in the village, there’s nothing wrong talking about that," Tang Yue reassured with a smile: "Counting back three generations, or maybe even two, everyone’s from the village, there’s nothing to be ashad of."
"Moreover, villages are better than big cities, right? The air is fresh, you can grow so vegetables, and whenever you feel like eating sothing, just pick it from the garden and cook it," Tang Yue said sentintally. In future generations, pollution is heavy, and the countryside is where everyone longs to be, not to ntion the improved accessibility and rapid technological advancents of the future, making it easy to travel anywhere.
"Is the countryside really as good as you say?" Jiang Lan was stunned by the idea. Nowadays, people prefer the city, and everyone is rushing to live there. Many even look down on people from the countryside.
Tang Yue’s words made it seem like the countryside was actually the place everyone desired to be.
"Of course it is," Tang Yue confidently said: "Sister-in-law Liu, who knows, maybe in the future, everyone will want to move to the countryside."
"Xiao Yue, are you joking?" Jiang Lan couldn’t help but laugh, thinking Tang Yue was just making a joke.
Tang Yue smiled and did not argue with Jiang Lan about what was right or wrong but focused on cooking seriously. As there were many people, there were also many dishes to prepare, thankfully Mo Siyu had bought plenty of at from the city earlier in the day.
By noon.
Mo Siyu brought Qin Anhao and the others back to their residence.
Although the rooms they were assigned weren’t large, the living room only had sofas and a small coffee table, and the dining area had a round table that accommodated about ten people without feeling crowded.
