Xue Zhishu was still dazed when he was dragged to the hospital. He had clearly arranged for soone to teach Lian Qingyang a lesson, yet how did it turn out that Lian Qingyang wasn’t taught a lesson, and instead, it was him who got severely beaten?
By the ti they got to the hospital and started treating his wounds, Xue Zhishu was in so much pain that it felt like half his life had been taken away.
When ng Yanzhi and Feng Yongqing received the news and ca over, Feng Yongqing burst into exaggerated laughter.
Xue Zhishu couldn’t help but curse aloud, "Feng Yongqing, if you laugh again, we’re no longer friends!"
What kind of friend was that?
He was injured so badly, yet Feng Yongqing was standing there, laughing so hard, which made Xue Zhishu very dissatisfied.
"I can’t help it," Feng Yongqing said, trying to suppress his laughter. Even though he didn’t laugh as exaggeratedly as before, both the smile on his lips and the laughter in his eyes were impossible to hide.
Xue Zhishu pitifully looked at ng Yanzhi and asked, "Mr. ng, you’re not going to laugh at , are you?"
"No," ng Yanzhi replied seriously, "I won’t laugh at you to your face."
Xue Zhishu buried his swollen face, which resembled a pig’s head, in the blanket, looking utterly despondent.
After a while, when Feng Yongqing had laughed enough, he finally asked, "Zhishu, weren’t you supposed to teach soone a lesson? How did you end up being the one taught a lesson? Tell us, what exactly happened?"
Feng Yongqing was extrely curious. Xue Zhishu had brazenly taken his n to teach Lian Qingyang a lesson; how did it end up being him who got taught a lesson by Lian Qingyang?
With a sigh, Xue Zhishu talked about the whole incident, even feeling angry as he spoke. He then said, "Mr. ng, I feel that Lian Qingyang simply doesn’t take you seriously. I’m one of your people, yet today, I was publicly humiliated by having food splashed on and got taught a lesson by him. I just can’t swallow this pride."
Xue Zhishu was hoping for Lian Qingyang to stand up for him. ng Yan tossed Lian Qingyang’s information in front of him, saying, "Take a look."
Xue Zhishu took a serious look. The Lian Family had an overwhelming presence in Sea City, involved in jewels, mariti transport, and even had connections with that world.
"Mr. ng, am I just supposed to accept this loss without a fight?" Xue Zhishu couldn’t accept it.
"If one isn’t enough, then use two; if two aren’t enough, then get ten," ng Yan reminded, "The condition is, don’t be as foolish as this ti. Be clean and efficient, leave no trace, and what can the Lian Family do to you?"
"Mr. Yan, I knew you wouldn’t stand by idly," Xue Zhishu said excitedly.
Having seen the power of the Lian Family, Xue Zhishu felt that Sea City was not like Jing City. With ng Yan there, what did he have to fear about the Lian Family?
Just as ng Yan said—if he left no handle to be caught, what could the Lian Family do to him?
So, Xue Zhishu this ti planned thoroughly, intending to teach Lian Qingyang another lesson.
Three days later, as Lian Qingyang was returning ho from school, he felt as though he was being tracked. Intentionally, he walked into a deserted alley where ten n, front and back, blocked his way.
"Are you sent by Xue Zhishu?" Lian Qingyang saw the ten well-trained n in black and imdiately thought of the person he had beaten a few days ago.
These n didn’t waste words with Lian Qingyang—they got down to business and started attacking him right away.
"Hey, ten on one, isn’t that bullying by the numbers?" Lian Qingyang shouted brazenly, but his actions were swift and without hesitation, imdiately fighting back against those in black.
The alley wasn’t very wide, and even with their numbers, these n couldn’t fully utilize their advantage in such a confined space.
Only four or five could co at him at a ti.
Though Lian Qingyang was tall and thin, he had been fighting big guys since he was young. He had trained his body from a young age, and by the ti he was eleven or twelve, he followed his aunt into the fighting rings, where he truly clashed with people. That’s how he honed his skills.
Apart from gaming, Lian Qingyang was also extraordinarily talented in fighting.
While fighting against ten n was challenging, Lian Qingyang stood his ground fearlessly.
In this deserted alley, shaded by a large tree and with few passersby, even those who occasionally passed by upon hearing the scuffle stayed away.
Lian Qingyang had not fought such an intense battle since he turned eighteen. He got hit several tis but was actually invigorated and increasingly excited as the fight went on.
"Tsks tsks tsks, you ten people bullying one kid, I really feel ashad for you guys." On top of the wall, sitting on a large tree, was a young girl, pinching a piece of chocolate. She crunched on the chocolate, giving pointers to Lian Qingyang.
Lian Qingyang wasn’t soone who took orders. He said, "Hey, if you’re so capable, co down and fight; what’s the point of shouting from a wall?"
"No no no, I am a beautiful young girl," the girl replied, grinning as she finished her chocolate. She eyed Lian Qingyang and said, "You’re pretty strong fighting by yourself."
"Go for it, go for it," the girl cheered Lian Qingyang, raising her fists.
Lian Qingyang rolled his eyes and retorted unhappily, "Careful, after they’re done with , they might silence you too."
Distracted, Lian Qingyang got kicked and winced in pain.
Against ordinary people, Lian Qingyang would have had no problem, but facing ten trained thugs, he had prepared himself for an all-out fight.
After that, Lian Qingyang didn’t even have a chance to speak.
The girl prattled on eating another piece of chocolate and peeled yet another one, sporadically reminding Lian Qingyang.
Lian Qingyang was so exhausted that he didn’t even have the strength to argue. He had been too careless.
Who would have thought that Xue Zhishu would be so blind? Once he got out alive, if he didn’t make Xue Zhishu pay dearly, he wouldn’t bear the Lian surna.
In his heart, Lian Qingyang cursed Xue Zhishu’s ancestors for eighteen generations.
And there was that ’spectator’ girl, on the top of the wall’s tree, who didn’t know how many chocolates she had eaten already; she would end up a fatso.
Lian Qingyang couldn’t hold on any longer. Using his last bit of strength, he knocked so n down, but he couldn’t muster the strength to lift his arms anymore.
"Useless, you’re done for just like that," the girl said, dressed casually as she smoothly jumped down from the tree. Looking down at Lian Qingyang, she broke into a smile and said, "Call ’sister,’ and I’ll help you."
Lian Qingyang glared at her, pursed his lips, and refused to utter a single word.
The girl pouted and said, "Little brother, I know you’re calling ’sister’ in your heart."
"Co on; watch your sister take revenge for you," the girl said with a smile, her two shallow dimples looking very pretty.
"Pfft," Lian Qingyang spat out blood in anger, wondering where she got the nerve to claim he had agreed to call her ’sister.’
