"Mom, can we go ahead without a matchmaker?" Tang Mingli asked timidly.

Granny Tang glared at him and said, "What, you want to propose marriage by yourself? How embarrassing would that be?"

"Let your eldest brother, no, let your second brother accompany you," Granny Tang said as she took a red cloth bag from inside the house, opened it, and inside there was two hundred yuan. She handed it over and said, "Your mom doesn’t have much ability, this two hundred yuan, consider it for your wedding expenses, like the banquet, you’ll have to manage it all by yourself."

"Your eldest and second brother’s weddings were done the sa way," Granny Tang added.

In the family, each son’s wedding, she gave a bit of money for the celebration, letting them handle it themselves.

The eldest and the second had been married for a longer ti, and didn’t have much money either.

"Mom, keep the money for yourself," Tang Mingli, now able to provide so money on his own, wasn’t concerned about these things.

Granny Tang’s eyes widened in disbelief as she exclaid, "What, you think it’s too little?"

"No," Tang Mingli hastily took the money and said, "Mom, how could I think it’s too little, I’m just worried about you not having enough money at ho."

Tang Mingli quickly tried to make ands. He said laughingly, though the money wasn’t much, it was still a thoughtful gesture from mom, Tang Mingli was more than happy, how could he possibly complain it was too little.

"There isn’t much need for money at ho, and while you earn a decent amount every month from the garnt factory, once you get married, things will change, you’ll need to start saving," Granny Tang remarked while looking at the tortoiseshell glasses in Tang Mingli’s hand, "Those glasses aren’t anything special, and they cost a fortune."

"Cough." Tang Mingli cleared his throat, quickly interjecting, "Mom, why don’t you co and stay in the county for a while? We have accommodation in the garnt factory now."

", stay there?" Granny Tang seed intrigued.

"Exactly, mom, think about it, I’m about to propose. Don’t we need to discuss it beforehand?" Tang Mingli hurriedly persuaded.

"That sounds good," Granny Tang pondered and then hesitantly asked, "Mingli, won’t your boss be unhappy?"

After all, the factory wasn’t his son’s personal property, and her staying there might not be suitable?

"It’s fine, I manage the factory, if I say you can stay, then you can stay," Tang Mingli reassured confidently, thinking to himself that the factory was as good as his; no one would dare to object against his own mother staying there.

"Okay," Granny Tang was actually very excited about staying in the county for a change.

While cooking, she kept discussing with Wang Aihua about feeding the chickens, ducks, and pigs at ho daily.

Wang Aihua’s eyes shifted, seemingly eager to join her.

Granny Tang imdiately objected, "Aihua, Zheng Yuan’s leg isn’t strong, how could you leave him alone at ho?"

"Mom, we could all go together," Wang Aihua suggested with a smile.

"No, if you all leave, who will take care of the chickens and ducks? Xiao Min is coming back ho; there would be no one at ho, what would Xiao Min eat?" Granny Tang refused.

Wang Aihua sheepishly smiled and imdiately dropped the idea.

"Mingli, that girl is from the Provincial City, the dowry must be quite substantial, right?" Wang Aihua inquired, inspecting Tang Mingli’s clothes, observing that he wore the sa few pieces throughout the sumr, deducing that his store might not be as profitable as they say.

"Mingli can manage whatever dowry he can, that’s his own ability." Granny Tang gave Wang Aihua a look, and as an elder, what she disliked the most was discord among relatives.

Granny Tang had always known that Wang Aihua liked causing trouble, but she usually just let it slide without saying much, as Wang Aihua was all talk and no action. However, today, Granny Tang couldn’t help but speak up. How much money Mingli earns and how much dowry he can provide is his business, Wang Aihua, even if she is jealous, should endure it.

"Mom, I didn’t an anything by it, just asking casually." Wang Aihua said pleasingly, silenced by a glare from Tang Zhengyuan.

"Humph." Granny Tang snorted lightly: "Zhengyuan and Zhengde, they both earned their own dowries."

"Yes, Mom, this matter depends on Mingli. We brothers can’t help much." Tang Zhengyuan said with a stern face. Over the past six months, his relationship with his wife Wang Aihua had been fraught with argunts, partly because of his bad leg.

After Granny Tang left with Tang Mingli, Wang Aihua imdiately wore a gloomy face and said, "Zhengyuan, I was just asking. Why can’t I even ask? Do we have to sneak around to give the dowry?"

"The dowry Mingli gives, no matter how much, is earned by him." Tang Zhengyuan said indifferently. Sotis, being idle at ho, unable to do any heavy work, and with no lighter chores available, he felt very suffocated every day.

"Yes, your two younger brothers are now successful, increasingly disregarding you as their elder brother." Wang Aihua said sarcastically: "This matter of finding a job, there’s been no news at all, I fear they don’t care at all."

"Actually, being a gatekeeper isn’t so bad." Tang Zhengyuan pondered; initially, he felt uncomfortable about the idea of gatekeeping, but over ti, especially after hearing that Uncle Gen has been gatekeeping at a clothing factory without any issues, just opening and closing the door, which sounds relaxing, and it pays a few dozen yuan each month.

Now, Tang Zhengyuan felt a bit of regret in his heart.

"What’s good about that? It’s just like being a watchdog!" Wang Aihua said irritably: "If he truly cared about finding you work, why would he only find such jobs?"

"He calls himself your brother but I see, he treats that outsider better than his own elder brother." Thinking of how Tang Mingli treated Tang Yue better than them, Wang Aihua felt extrely disgruntled.

Tang Zhengyuan remained silent, starting to reflect.

Wang Aihua kept complaining incessantly.

Jing City, Bailutong Team.

"Is there any mail for ?"

Xiao Li, who was in charge of delivering the mail, replied: "No."

"Let know imdiately if there’s any mail for ." Mo Siyu instructed.

"Do you guys think Brother Mo is waiting for mail from his little sister-in-law?"

Just as Li Wei spoke, he was sternly slapped down by Zhao Xiangqian and Yan Dong, Zhao Xiangqian glared at him and said: "Isn’t that obvious? Ever since Brother Mo returned to the team, he cos daily to check, apart from waiting for his little sister-in-law’s mail, when have you ever seen him care about any mail?"

"Little sister-in-law really is captivating." Yan Dong exclaid, the once cold-hearted Brother Mo, unexpectedly doing such... impatient acts.

"You guys don’t understand, this is called ’a hero’s downfall at the beauty gate’." Zhao Xiangqian said sagely.

Li Wei and Yan Dong looked at him with contempt: "Xiangqian, then you tell us, when will our Brother Mo win his beauty?"
