ng Yanzhi glanced at her coldly, and even though he said nothing, Wen Yun just knew he was angry.

But, why was he angry?

"Who are you?"

Hu Shuwei looked at ng Yanzhi, dressed in a perfectly tailored suit, exuding an air of superiority that made Hu Shuwei instinctively feel inferior.

Especially with ng Yanzhi holding Wen Yun by the waist, and Wen Yun not objecting.

Could it be that Wen Yun was really married?

Hu Shuwei’s face turned pale, and even the pain in his stomach seed to lessen a bit.

"Don’t even think about her."

ng Yanzhi didn’t even bother to glance at Hu Shuwei. These days, he’s been eating outside, and even though every al was ticulously prepared, it lacked the warmth of Wen Yun’s ho-cooked als. He’d rather squeeze into a small dining room with Wen Yun than eat in a spacious grand one, as if sothing was missing.

ng Yanzhi finally decided to return, and just as he was passing by her hospital, thinking of bringing her ho, he saw Hu Shuwei pulling at Wen Yun. He was furious, his body moving faster than his mind.

"We’re going ho."

ng Yanzhi wrapped an arm around Wen Yun and left, not sparing Hu Shuwei another glance.

Wen Yun was preoccupied with why ng Yanzhi was angry, not noticing Hu Shuwei’s state at all.

In the shadows, once ng Yanzhi and Wen Yun had left, Wen Jiao erged from the shade of a large tree with a look of amusent.

She stepped in high heels, one step at a ti, walking up to Hu Shuwei and asked, "Do you like Wen Yun?"

"Who are you?"

Hu Shuwei, still shaken, hadn’t yet recovered. Seeing Wen Jiao approach, he frowned and replied irritably.

"Who I am is not important, what’s important is that I know what’s going on with Wen Yun." Wen Jiao had seen clearly that this man liked Wen Yun. She smiled slightly, sighed, and said, "Actually, Wen Yun is quite pitiable, forced to be with a man she doesn’t love."

"What?" Hu Shuwei took an interest in Wen Jiao’s words.

In Wen Jiao’s story, Mr. Wen was a heinous man who would even sell his daughter for profit.

And as for ng Yanzhi, Wen Jiao painted him as completely worthless.

Wen Yun seed like a pitiful soul, making Hu Shuwei feel that as a man, he should rescue her.

...

"When did you co back?"

"Why are you at the hospital?"

"You didn’t co to pick up, did you?"

On the way back, Wen Yun felt awkward with the silent walk and tried to start a conversation, but ng Yanzhi’s silence was intimidating.

Thus, Wen Yun was brought ho by ng Yanzhi in silence.

"What are you doing?"

Wen Yun looked at ng Yanzhi with alarm, instantly retreating as soon as she was free, staring at him defensively.

"Punishnt."

The room was unlit, relying only on the streetlight and moonlight streaming through the window, making ng Yanzhi’s eyes appear dark and eerie, mysteriously frightening Wen Yun a little...

"Rember your status, and don’t disgrace the ng Family."

ng Yanzhi’s voice was icy.

Hearing this, Wen Yun felt even more hurt and stifled. She said, "There’s nothing between Hu Shuwei and ."

"You were tossing and tugging near the hospital, do you think others will believe that?" ng Yanzhi retorted.

Wen Yun pressed her lips together, leaning back against the wall, and replied, "Nothing ans nothing. I’ve already told him I’m married, but if he doesn’t believe it, what can I do?"

Wen Yun felt wronged too!

"Don’t let it happen again."

After saying this, ng Yanzhi turned and left.

When the door closed, Wen Yun slid down the wall, arms wrapped around her knees as silent tears fell. The goodwill she had accumulated until now, she realized today, was all just her wishful thinking!

She and ng Yanzhi were fundantally people from two different worlds.

From that day, ng Yanzhi and Wen Yun slipped into a cold war.

No, it couldn’t even be called a cold war; they simply didn’t see each other.

Wen Yun switched to night shifts, working at night, sleeping in the room during the day.

Even her own als were makeshift; when hungry, she’d munch on bread.

The dinners that ng Yanzhi often craved naturally didn’t happen.

During this period, even the assistant’s days weren’t easy working beside ng Yanzhi, always on edge, fearing a single mistake would have him scolded harshly.

The assistant saw it and was anxious, but how could Mr. ng possibly lower his head?

As for the lady, she seed to be equally stubborn.

At this rate, the assistant felt he might age prematurely!

Finally, the assistant caught a break when Wen Yun was tricked into attending a class reunion.

Wen Jiao had invited Wen Yun out, but it turned out to be a class reunion.

Once Wen Yun arrived, she couldn’t just leave.

So brought their wives, others their husbands, leaving only Hu Shuwei and Wen Yun as the singles. Even Hu Lijuan brought her boyfriend along.

Then everyone started teasing, suggesting that Hu Shuwei and Wen Yun get together.

Wen Yun smiled and declined politely, stating she had a husband, but no one believed her. Wen Yun smiled and said, "Hu Shuwei saw him last ti, right?"

Hu Shuwei remained silent.

Everyone began to egg her on to call her husband out so they could all see him.

Even Hu Shuwei insisted Wen Yun call her husband.

According to Wen Jiao, Wen Yun’s husband was certainly uninterested and wouldn’t show up, which might even lead to a fight.

Wen Yun, finding it difficult to refuse, reluctantly called ng Yanzhi. Hearing the assistant answer, she breathed a sigh of relief.

Although the assistant didn’t say much, upon hearing Wen Yun was at a reunion, his eyes lit up. After finding out it was at the sa hotel, he thought to himself, "What a coincidence."

The assistant seized the opportunity to discreetly tell Mr. ng, who was dining with soone: "Mr. ng, Madam just called; she’s here at a class reunion, and her classmates want to et you."

"No ti."

Without a second thought, ng Yanzhi responded, smiling as he resud drinking with his business partner.

Ten minutes later, ng Yanzhi stood up, bid farewell, and hurriedly asked, "Where is she?"

"Madam is in the Rose Hall."

The assistant replied swiftly, having prepared in advance. He said, "That Hu Shuwei who was pestering Madam last ti is also there; shall we..."
