Tang Jun moved swiftly, adjusting his posture instinctively as he brushed against a stool, steadying himself.

"Cough... cough..."

Beside him was the sound of Yuan Yu coughing constantly. Tang Jun said, "Don’t worry, I’m fine."

Tang Jun placed the stool down and walked over to Yuan Yu’s bedside, his movents noticeably slower. He felt frustrated, as his blindness made him feel almost useless.

"Cough."

Yuan Yu coughed for a long ti before finally stopping.

"Besides coughing, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere else?"

"Should I ask Grandpa Miao to co and take a look?"

Tang Jun couldn’t see and was unsure of Yuan Yu’s condition, leaving him anxious.

"No need to trouble Grandpa Miao, I’m sick, this is just part of the process." Yuan Yu’s voice was raspy due to her illness, lacking its usual clear and pleasant tone.

"You’re also not feeling well; if you’re tired, take a rest." After saying this, Yuan Yu felt sleepy.

No one knew how long Yuan Yu slept, but when she woke up, she saw Jingjing and heard Tang Jun’s voice outside.

"Jingjing." Yuan Yu smiled, watching Jingjing care for her like an adult. She felt a little guilty and said, "Thank you for taking care of ."

"No need to thank , Sister Yuan." Jingjing said brightly, "Sister Yuan, are you a doctor?"

"Yes."

Yuan Yu nodded, eting Jingjing’s admiring gaze, and couldn’t help but ask, "Do you want to be a doctor too?"

"Yes, Sister Yuan. Being a doctor is my dream." Jingjing nodded vigorously and said, "Grandpa told that doctors cure diseases and save people. I want to be a doctor like Grandpa and like Sister."

In Jingjing’s eyes, doctors are incredibly sacred, and she dreams of becoming one.

"Then study hard, and when you grow up, apply to dical school." Yuan Yu encouraged, feeling that children having dreams was a good thing.

Talking about school made Jingjing lower her head.

"What’s wrong? Are you afraid you won’t pass the exams?" Yuan Yu felt much better after her nap, and although her voice was still hoarse, it was noticeably improved.

"We don’t have a school here," Jingjing said sadly. "Brother Tang said there will be a school here soday."

"There will be."

Yuan Yu was surprised there wasn’t a school here, but considering the small, isolated village, she understood. She said, "Jingjing, you’ll definitely be able to go to school."

Since Tang Jun promised, he will surely help.

She wanted to contribute a little herself.

Yuan Yu thought this, reassuring Jingjing that they could attend school. Jingjing’s face lit with anticipation.

Suddenly, Jingjing rembered sothing and said, "Sister Yuan, the dicine can be taken now."

Like the wind, Jingjing rushed out, and soon returned with freshly brewed herbal dicine. Yuan Yu could sll it from afar, and instinctively frowned. She feared the bitterness, especially of herbal dicine.

"Sister Yuan, it’s warm now, perfect for drinking." Jingjing was remarkably talented at brewing dicine, having learned so basics from being around Grandpa Miao since childhood.

"Thank you, Jingjing."

Even though Yuan Yu found it difficult, she gathered her courage, picked up the dicine, and drank it while pinching her nose.

"Sister Yuan, I didn’t know you were afraid of dicine," Jingjing said, amused, seeing Yuan Yu’s expression.

"It’s bitter." Yuan Yu tilted her head back, finishing the dicine, her mouth filled with an intense bitter taste.

Jingjing handed her a candy and said, "Brother Tang got this especially for you."

Without hesitation, Yuan Yu took the sugar from Jingjing’s hand. The sweetness quickly alleviated the bitterness in her mouth.

"Sister Yuan, when you were unconscious, Brother Tang gave you dicine. I’m curious how he did it," Jingjing asked, her eyes full of curiosity. "Sister Yuan, how do you give dicine if soone can’t drink it?"

If soone can’t drink dicine, how do you administer it?

As a doctor, Yuan Yu naturally understood, and her face blushed instantly.

The re thought of that scene made Yuan Yu uncomfortable. She vaguely rembered being fed dicine while she was unconscious.

"Sister Yuan, Brother Tang didn’t let Fat Aunt and see how he did it. How did he feed you the dicine?"

"Brother Tang can’t see, it’s so puzzling."

Jingjing hadn’t noticed Yuan Yu’s discomfort and kept talking. Her curiosity wasn’t satisfied until she found out; otherwise, it was unbearable.

But, since Grandpa and Fat Aunt wouldn’t tell her, she could only ask doctor Yuan Yu.

"Perhaps he has... his own way," Yuan Yu said, while Jingjing persisted inquisitively, prompting Yuan Yu to teach her a thod for feeding dicine.

Jingjing looked at Yuan Yu with shining eyes, full of admiration, "Sister Yuan, you’re amazing."

Jingjing admired Yuan Yu, convinced Tang Jun used the sa thod to administer the dicine. She said, "Brother Tang is amazing too, being able to give dicine this way even though he can’t see."

Yuan Yu: "..."

Jingjing, could you stop talking about administering dicine?

Changshui Village, while remote, is picturesque and offers a tranquility absent in the city.

Without the sounds of military horns, Yuan Yu felt the village was more peaceful than her office. As her health improved slightly, she wandered around the village with Jingjing and tang Jun.

"Grandpa Zhang is back."

Jingjing said excitedly upon seeing a family’s ho, "Grandpa Zhang’s dough figurines are beautiful."

"Grandpa Zhang."

Jingjing ran swiftly to Grandpa Zhang’s house, her face full of excitent.

Before long, not only Jingjing but five or six children from the village gathered around, each calling ’Grandpa Zhang’ eagerly.

Grandpa Zhang smiled and took out several dough figurines, handing them out, delighting the children.

Yuan Yu liked them too and said, "Grandpa Zhang, could you make one for too?"

The small, colorful dough figurines were adorable; girls naturally liked beautiful things.

"Sure." Grandpa Zhang responded, observing the unfamiliar Yuan Yu and Tang Jun, while Jingjing explained who they were in a few words.

Tang Jun couldn’t see, but wondered if Yuan Yu would be happy if he could make a dough figurine too.

After Yuan Yu left with the dough figurine Grandpa Zhang made, Tang Jun remained, eager to learn.

"What kind would you like to make?" Grandpa Zhang asked Tang Jun, knowing he couldn’t see, and initiated the conversation.
