"It’s not hard work."

"It’s not hard work."

The two n looked at Tang Yue, pleasantly surprised, then lowered their heads again.

Tang Yue found a room for them to rest and then took the breakfast to deliver to Lian He.

Last night, Tang Yue wanted to stay at the hospital, but Lian He wouldn’t agree, insisting she go ho. Moreover, Gu Chun was at the hospital as well, so Tang Yue didn’t refuse.

"Dad, how are you feeling today?"

Tang Yue handed over the millet porridge she brought, poured a bowl for Lian He, and said, "We only have millet left at ho, so I made millet porridge. Tomorrow, I’ll bring you so pumpkin porridge or dumplings."

"Good, they’re all delicious." Lian He wasn’t a picky eater; no matter what Tang Yue brought, he felt extrely happy. Drinking the hot porridge, he said, "You don’t need to worry about . I’m fine, and in a couple of days, I’ll be discharged."

Having stayed in the hospital for a few days, Lian He disliked the constant sll of disinfectant everywhere.

"Dad, you should let your wound heal properly before coming ho," Tang Yue suggested. "By the way, do you need a dressing change today?"

"Tomorrow for the dressing change. If the wound heals well, I can be discharged the day after tomorrow." Lian He was eager to be discharged and suggested, "Actually, I could have a dressing change today, and then I could go ho tomorrow."

Tang Yue: "..."

Dad, you just had a dressing change in Jing City yesterday. How could you have another one today?

"Where’s Uncle?" Tang Yue changed the subject, noting that she had also brought porridge for him.

"I sent him to the company to pick up so things. There’s no shortage of people here," Lian He explained. He had rushed to Su City upon receiving a call, and later, while recovering from a gunshot wound, Lian Tong managed the company in Sea City while Lian Qingyang was kept busy in Jing City.

Now, feeling a little better, Lian He sent Gu Chun to the company to get so files, partly to pass the ti and partly to keep up with work.

He wanted to send Gu Chun to the company, but since Gu Chun had to return to Sea City, Lian He couldn’t keep him from leaving due to a minor injury.

"Dad, Xiao Yang is at the company. Don’t overexert yourself," Tang Yue advised, adding, "You’re still a patient."

"Sister, does that an I should tire myself out?" Lian Qingyang looked at Tang Yue with a face full of grievance.

Tang Yue gave him a sidelong glance and said, "You’re barely in your twenties, full of youth and strength; it’s only right to do more."

"..."

Lian Qingyang was muttering inwardly: When they’re urging him to get married, they say he’s already thirty and hasn’t brought back a wife yet.

Now, when it cos to doing work, they say he’s only in his twenties.

"Do you really want Dad to handle company affairs while he’s injured?" Tang Yue raised an eyebrow.

Lian Qingyang quickly shook his head, saying, "Of course not, Sister. I was just speaking casually, just casually."

In Jing City, ng Siyu finally waited for Hei Biao to speak.

Hei Biao’s voice was low. He said, "Feng Zhi, are you wondering who told about your identity?"

ng Siyu didn’t speak; he simply stood there silently.

"I’ll tell you now, it was a very pretty girl," Hei Biao said, causing a flicker in ng Siyu’s eyes.

Hei Biao appeared oblivious, continuing, "Just as pretty as your wife."

Hei Biao’s gaze drifted past ng Siyu, vaguely seeing the figure of Tang Yue, and he sneered, "Even heroes can’t resist beautiful won. I thought soone like you would never marry your whole life."

"Even if you got married, you wouldn’t appreciate the beauty. But unexpectedly..." Hei Biao’s words were filled with surprise, the unspoken ssage being quite clear.

Tang Yue listened, bewildered, not understanding what Hei Biao was trying to convey.

Was he just trying to mock Siyu in front of her?

"Feng Zhi."

Suddenly, Hei Biao’s voice turned somber, and he said forcefully, "You’d better keep your wife and child in sight for your entire life; otherwise, one day, I will kill them."

Hei Biao spoke each word slowly, as if each was a boulder pounding on Tang Yue’s heart.

A large hand grasped Tang Yue’s hand warmly and firmly. When she looked up, she saw ng Siyu’s broad back. His tall body was a strong, reliable support in front of her.

ng Siyu’s dark eyes flickered with a sharp light as he said, "No one can touch my people."

Once back ho, ng Siyu couldn’t resist embracing Tang Yue.

In a deep voice, ng Siyu whispered in her ear, "I won’t let anything happen to you."

Tang Yue’s struggling stopped imdiately, and she said, "I believe you."

Tang Yue forced a relaxed smile, looking up to say, "I trust you’ll protect us well. Don’t worry, this was just an accident."

ng Siyu held her tightly, while inside, he resolved that no matter what, he must personally keep an eye on Hei Biao, ensuring he had no chance of escape.

"Hmm." ng Siyu thought the two words were too few, so he added, "You don’t need to be afraid. He won’t harm you in the future. Xiao Yang found two people to protect you, and I also found two. They’ll arrive in a few days. Wherever you go, make sure to take Ding Ling with you."

Ding Ling was very skilled, and with him present, Tang Yue’s safety had an added layer of assurance.

The market was crowded, and walking together, ng Siyu and Tang Yue, a handso man and beautiful woman, naturally drew attention.

"Buy more shrimp. We can make dumplings and have another al with the shrimp," Tang Yue said, looking at the fresh shrimp with delight. "Zaozao and Chenchen especially love shrimp. This ti, let’s make the simplest boiled shrimp. What do you think?"

"Sure." ng Siyu responded, watching Tang Yue’s excitent, hesitating to speak.

Tang Yue, earnestly picking out shrimp, didn’t notice. She said while choosing large shrimp, "Siyu, let’s make dumplings together tonight. We can have a contest to see who makes the most and the prettiest ones, okay?"

Tang Yue loved making dumplings and eating them, but every ti she saw the dumplings ng Siyu made, she wanted to compete from the bottom of her heart.

"Your dumplings look good and taste great." ng Siyu laughed, "Zaozao and Chenchen definitely prefer your dumplings over mine."

"I like them."

Tang Yue grinned, showing her neat white teeth, her sparkling eyes filled with anticipation, making ng Siyu feel even more guilty.

Accompanying Tang Yue through the market, they bought fresh shrimp, chives, and pork belly. She planned to make chive and shrimp dumplings, as well as pork belly and mushroom ones—favorites of Zaozao and Chenchen.
