Qin Family’s matters aren’t just limited to the siblings Qin Xiangyang and Qin Xiangnuan; they are now running a stall during the day. Business is good in the evening, but it is even better during the day, incredibly so. Bowl after bowl of porridge is served non-stop; fortunately, it’s not always this busy. During quieter periods, they still manage to get so rest.

Qin Xiangnuan felt they were understaffed, so she thought about hiring another person specifically for washing dishes and making paper bags.

When it ca to making paper bags, Qin Xiangnuan thought of Aunt Hua. These bags were easy to make and even the elderly or children could do it. She had already set the price: 50 cents for a hundred bags. Not just for an adult like Aunt Hua, even a child could make a hundred in a short ti.

Qin Xiangnuan brought this task to Aunt Hua, who was delighted. The very next day, she delivered over a thousand bags, and earned five yuan. With this five yuan, she thought of the many things she could buy for the New Year.

She continued making paper bags with her family over several evenings, managing to hand in over a thousand bags a day, adding up to several dozen yuan in inco.

Qin Xiangnuan’s stall was now even busier, Auntie Ming had found them a dishwasher. Washing dishes all-day earned 2 yuan, attracting swarms of people. Despite the increased number of dishes, making 2 yuan so quickly still made it worthwhile.

With soone to wash dishes and soone to make paper bags, their stall was open all day. During busy tis, both inside and outside of the shop were packed. They sold pancakes so quickly, going through over a dozen bags of flour. One could imagine how many pancakes they sold and how much money they made.

At peak tis, they earned over 300 yuan in one day - the equivalent of a common worker’s annual salary, all made in a single day.

As the New Year approached, the crowd and earnings increased. Recently, they deposited 3,000 yuan and then another 4,000 yuan into their bankbook.

With the New Year fast approaching,

Qin Xiangnuan stood in front of Wendi and handed her a bag, "Sister, this is your salary for the month, and there’s also a train ticket inside. Sister, we get ten days off for New Year, please go ho and have a good New Year."

"Thank you, thank you, little boss," Wendi hugged the bag, crying uncontrollably; she thought she couldn’t go ho for the New Year. No matter how modest her ho, it was still her ho.

That night, after closing the shop, Wendi packed up her stuff and took out the bag Qin Xiangnuan had given her. She opened the bag, which incredibly was full of money. She took out the money, adding it to the wages she had earned in the past two months.

Upon seeing the total, she was shocked.

Her two months’ salary ca to 60 yuan, and the little boss said he would give her 100 yuan this month, rounding it up to 200 yuan. Two hundred yuan! Oh my, 200 yuan could buy so many things, she cried again holding the money.

The shop remained open for a few more days, then it was only Qin Xiangnun and her brother left. They only sold during the evening, and dayti the shop was closed. Just from the evening alone, they still managed an inco of fifty to sixty yuan. As the New Year approached, they finally closed the shop.

Qin Xiangnuan asked Qin Xiangyang to buy so pastries, canned goods, liquor, and two packs of Mudan cigarettes, probably costing 4 yuan each, plus a few cans of milk powder.

Their family didn’t hang Spring Festival couplets or prepare New Year goods; they just bought a decent outfit to wear for the New Year. Despite having a sizable amount of money now, they didn’t want to show off in front of the villagers.

In their hands, they now held over 7,000 yuan, almost a decade’s inco for a family. They were keen to keep this secret safe; if others found out, it wouldn’t be good. First of all, Hu Li and Qin Guohua would not let them off.
