In a bit, the entire household was groping in the dark, searching for a candle, but after a long ti, they couldn't find anything that could light up the room. They called Qin Xiangi, but her phone was turned off. In the end, they had no choice but to do as the neighbor suggested and look for the property managent.
When they returned, Guan Xiaojie was cursing and swearing, and the faces of the family were all not looking too great. It was quite an unpleasant sight.
"Mom, look at the great daughter you've raised, she just cut off our water and electricity. No water, no power, how are we supposed to live?"
"What's wrong with the daughter I raised?" Hu Li really didn't like this, "If it weren't for my daughter Xiang i, could you even live in such a nice house or eat such great food? If you hadn't irritated her, would she have cut off our water and electricity?" No matter what, Qin Xiangi was her own flesh and blood, and Guan Xiaojie was just a daughter-in-law, she could never be as important as a daughter.
Guan Xiaojie, red-faced and unable to retort, was frustrated because there was still shampoo foam in her hair, and it slled of shampoo - it was frankly disgusting.
"You useless person," when Guan Xiaojie couldn't scold Hu Li any longer, she furiously kicked Qin Pengfei. Honestly, Qin Pengfei was an innocent bystander; he really hadn't done anything.
Seeing Guan Xiaojie hitting her son, Hu Li's face stretched longer than a horse's.
She decided that when she returned she'd definitely give a piece of her mind to the person who set up this marriage, complaining about what kind of daughter-in-law this was - she was a complete shrew.
Qin Xiangi didn't co ho that night; the house had no water or electricity, the family huddled in this roughly one hundred square ter house, cold, thirsty, and hungry, not to ntion that the pots and dishes were still unwashed - it was unclear whether Hu Li was piling them up for Guan Xiaojie or Guan Xiaojie pretended she couldn't see them and passed them back to Hu Li.
God knows those dishes must be stinking by now.
By the next day, the entire family was cramped inside the house, with no food or hot water. Adults aside, Guan Chengleng kept crying incessantly, his snot covering him entirely - they had no choice but to pack up their belongings and buy tickets to go back to their hotown.
Qin Xiangi obviously didn't co back, nor did she ask about anything.
Qin Pengfei and Guan Xiaojie's complaints were loud and endless, constantly cursing this and that, but in the end, they still dejectedly prepared to return to their hotown. Hu Li, however, didn't have much to complain about. In her view, their living situation was still good, and besides, she still had money. Qin Xiangi wouldn't let others suffer, but she certainly wouldn't let her own mother suffer. So, when leaving, she actually gave Hu Li quite a bit of money which Hu Li, of course, tightly held onto, not intending to share with anyone.
When Qin Xiangi finally ca back to restore the water and electricity and also the heating, she exploded with anger the mont she reached ho - there was trash everywhere, boxes of instant noodles littered all over the tables, and upon seeing the kitchen, the dirty dishes seed almost ready to breed insects, with things also ssily left in the bathroom.
Angry enough to curse, she bit her lip, picked up the things off the floor, and stuffed them into a garbage bag. She had been mistreated by the Song Family, and Song Wang hadn't helped her. They wouldn't even let her take care of her children, the children she bore - she wondered why she shouldn't be allowed to.
The more she thought about it, the angrier and more resentful she beca, but in the end, she still cleaned up the house with bitterness. In a few days, she would go to see the children, determined to keep them by her side no matter what.
Regardless of her situation here, as for Qin Xiangnuan, that was her own matter.
In the small Siheyuan, the three little ones were growing fast, now crawling around everywhere. When the weather improved, Qin Xiangnuan spread a large carpet in the yard to let the three of them crawl around more freely, not minding too much. Among the three children, the eldest and second-born looked almost identical, one calm and the other active, both very well-behaved. Little San was the most recognizable as he was the prettiest, his features becoming more delicate, though he was delicate and cried often, he was of course, the most loved by everyone.
This day, the three little ones were happily exercising their chubby legs. Even Little San seed to have taken interest, competing with his elder brothers. Laughter from the three little ones filled the courtyard, infecting even the adults, who couldn't help but laugh along.
Qin Xiangnuan sat to the side, placing a notebook on her lap, watching the three children while also working on updating so items for the store.
"Mommy..."
Little San quickly crawled over to Qin Xiangnuan, wrapping his chubby hands around her leg.
As for his act of endearnt, the other two seed quite dismissive of it. They continued to compete over who could crawl faster and better, ignoring their little brother who was even prettier than their sister. It was a wonder how these three survived in their mother's belly.
Eldest Brother and the second child were like blood brothers, while Little San was the distinctive one among the siblings, a clever and shrewd child.
Qin Xiangnuan put the notebook from her lap aside and picked up Little San.
Little San was the first among them to learn to talk, but his vocabulary was still quite limited. He could say "dada," "mommy," and words for grandfather, grandmother, uncle, and maternal grandmother—much to the family's delight, always making him call out to everyone.
Now, he also knew how to express his little desires.
For instance, pulling on his mommy's sleeve, then touching his stomach indicating he wanted so milk.
"Let's go, mommy will make you so formula."
Qin Xiangnuan placed Little San on the carpet, letting him sit there to play by himself. The nanny was there too. Otherwise, if the three little ones got off the carpet, they would end up covered in mud and dirt.
Naturally, with three children, she didn't favor any one of them - although she did have a soft spot for Little San. Yet, when it ca to making formula, each of the children got a bottle. The formula was not ordinary but brought out from the system, and all the little ones especially loved it. It was hard to say why—perhaps because everything produced by the system was top-notch.
As the three little ones grew, their tastes improved. Now, one bag of formula was not enough to share among the three, but the system was generous and added a bag each month. She mixed this special formula with the other ones to feed the three of them.
The little ones were not fussy eaters, including Little San.
She handed out three bottles to the three little ones; the chubby toddlers each took their bottles and drank from them themselves—except for Little San, who insisted on being fed by mommy or else he would flat out refuse to drink his milk.
Qin Xiangnuan pinched Little San's cheek. "You're getting more and more delicate."
Little San laughed with a 'huff huff,' sounding like he was finally getting so teeth. She closely examined Little San's gums, which felt a bit tough—maybe the little ones were indeed starting to teeth, which ant they could start eating so solids instead of just formula all the ti.
Qin Xiangnuan picked up Little San and fed him the milk. Little San hadn't even had a sip when a knock ca from the door.
