Hu Li’s face was red with anger, her neck thickened as she continuously glared at Guan Xiaojie, but no matter how much she glared, Guan Xiaojie was like a pig that is not afraid of boiling water, doing whatever she wanted.

"This house is really big," Qin Guohua walked in and said while continuously nodding his head. It’s a three-bedroom with a large living room. The houses in the city are different from those in the countryside. Walking on these floors, one dares not move carelessly, fearing they might dirty the floor.

"That’s right," Hu Li lifted her chin, full of pride, "This is my son-in-law’s house, once Qin Xiangi gets married, when we co to the Capital City, we will live here."

Guan Xiaojie’s eyes were constantly shifting, obviously scheming. The Capital City is a big city, if the house were given to Qin Guohua, it would ultimately belong to him and his wife. Everyone has their own plans. Qin Xiangi watched all this, only managing to roll her eyes secretly. Don’t think she doesn’t know what they are plotting; it’s nothing more than this house. But, sorry, this house is hers and she won’t give it to anyone. Even a fool could see her sister-in-law’s greedy face eyeing the house.

She didn’t say anything now, nor was she bothered to care.

"Mom, do you think Qin Xiangyang and the others will agree?" During this mont, Qin Xiangnuan asked Hu Li in front of Qin Guohua.

"How could they disagree?" Before Hu Li could speak, Qin Guohua slamd the table with a smack, startling Qin Pengfei and his wife into a big argunt. He was their Laozi, whether they agree or not, they must agree; these two scoundrels are like their mother, all despicable and lowly.

Qin Xiangi took an apple and put it to her mouth, gently sniffing the scent of the apple, her red lips curving upwards involuntarily, the pride in her eyes was undeniable. She was waiting for this very statent from Qin Guohua.

With a crunch, she bit into the apple, her eyes sharp and seemingly flashing with nurous colors.

Qin Xiangnuan had just finished calculating the accounts for the store; this month’s earnings were quite good. After deducting all costs, there was a net profit of nearly sixty thousand. The earnings from the internet cafe were calculated annually, she and Jian Zhiqing took seventy-eight percent, giving Qin Xiangyang twenty percent. The annual inco from the internet café alone was frightening. Qin Xiangnuan was saving up this money, waiting, yeah, for a big move.

Waiting for that piece of land to be requisitioned so they could possibly buy half a floor.

At that mont, her phone in her bag rang. She took it out, continuing to calculate the accounts while answering the call.

"Nuannuan, co ho for a bit," Qin Xiangyang said vaguely on the phone, as if hesitating to speak more. Qin Xiangnuan put down the phone feeling slightly uncomfortable; it seed like sothing was about to happen, sothing she didn’t like, sothing she despised.

She locked the bills in the drawer, preparing to go ho.

Just as she reached the entrance, she heard the sound of nurous people talking inside. There were guests at ho. Her steps halted there, her feet seemingly unable to step inside no matter what.

She seed to hear Hu Li’s voice, along with Qin Guohua’s scolding.

She squinted slightly, tempted to turn around and walk away, but eventually, she pushed open the door. As expected, the courtyard was full of people; it was truly a large gathering of the Qin Family, including Granny Lu and Qin Xiangyang. Qin Xiangyang’s expression was terrible, and Granny Lu sat there silently.

Hu Li was speaking fervently about sothing, Qin Xiangi wore upscale clothing and elaborate makeup, smiling triumphantly. Qin Pengfei was also sitting, with a woman beside him, his wife from her past life, Guan Xiaojie; this hadn’t changed.

It’s said that those who aren’t family don’t enter the sa door. Guan Xiaojie, just like Hu Li, was selfish, greedy, and had a penchant for looking down on others. In her past life, using Qin Xiangi’s money, she managed to live well, owning a house in the city and securing a good job. Considering Song Wang’s complete submission to Qin Xiangi, how could he not find a decent job for his brother-in-law? It benefited Guan Xiaojie too, though it’s uncertain if Song Wang in this life still played the role of the utterly devoted husband.

However, from the situation last ti at the pot shop, it seems not, and so far Song Wang hadn’t given much money to the Qin Family. It appears the Qin Family hadn’t gotten much out of the Song Family, and what Qin Xiangi’s future holds, Qin Xiangnuan hadn’t a clue, but at least Mr. Sun wouldn’t like her.

Qin Xiangi studied at Jing University for a few years and earned a decent diploma, but she wasn’t cut out for working. She had always been supported by Song Wang, and it was uncertain what she’d have left if one day she lost his support – perhaps not death by starvation, but close to eating dirt.

Qin Xiangnuan walked over, didn’t sit, but stood next to Granny Lu, blocking the view of the Qin Family.

"Well, everyone is here," Qin Guohua huffed, still posing as the master of the house.

Qin Xiangnuan smiled, yet her eyes were cold and emotionless.

Never act spoiled here, since she has no father or mother.

"I have co to tell you that Xiang i is getting married," Qin Guohua swept his gaze over Qin Xiangyang and his siblings, "She’s your sister, naturally, you should contribute to her dowry. I won’t ask you to give much—five thousand each will do. Also, you’ve been living here for a long ti; it should have so visibility. Let’s hold the wedding here, the place is nice enough. While there’s still ti, clean up this place properly, don’t let the Song Family think less of us. The Song Family is wealthy, and once Xiang i marries into their family, it won’t be without benefits for you."

So that’s how it is,

Qin Xiangming understood now, why Qin Guohua had co over—it was all for this Siheyuan, to make Qin Xiangi’s marriage more respectable. And what he just said, asking them to each give five thousand; not to ntion five thousand, even if it was fifty thousand, she could afford it. But why should she? When her elder brother got married, she didn’t see them contribute a penny. When she got married, they never said any of this. Does Qin Xiangi have anything to do with them?

Why should they pay for her to have a glamorous wedding? What’s in it for them?

Qin Xiangyang’s face was stern all along, his military deanor was evident, and he had remained silent until his gaze finally rested on Qin Xiangi. Then, shifting his gaze, it landed on Qin Guohua’s face.

"We have no money," with that single sentence, he shut Qin Guohua down.
