"How about this?" Qin Xiangnuan handed her embroidery sample to Jian Zhiqing for so feedback.
"Yep, not bad," Jian Zhiqing took it and scrutinized it carefully, "The embroidery is so well done, it could be used as the emblem for Bayi Primary School. I reckon Bayi Primary School might even owe you a patent fee."
Qin Xiangnuan shrugged her shoulders. Forget it, she didn’t want it. This was ant to let others know it was from Bayi Primary School. She hadn’t thought too much about things like patent fees. She was volunteering her services without compensation, all for the flourishing growth of the country’s future.
Since Jian Zhiqing said it was good, she would get started on the embroidery. It was a ticulous task, and there wasn’t much ti left. It would be impossible to complete it outside; only within the system could she finish it. As for any doubts others might have, she figured the only person would be Jian Zhiqing.
But she felt that whether Jian Zhiqing knew or not, he wouldn’t ask too many questions. After all, he worked during the day and only ca back in the evenings. She could just say she accomplished it through overti. Who could challenge her on that?
While she stayed in the system, she scarcely ca out. The neckline needed hand-stitched hems, and the chest emblem needed embroidery. Also, she used the remaining pink fabric to make a hair flower. Not a difficult task. Once completed, she wrapped it around an elastic band. The result was multi-layered pink rose flowers, decent handiwork, looking as if they were bought, not handmade.
Nearly twenty outfits finally ca together two days before Children’s Day.
When the clothes were presented, the children were amazed, jumping and shouting because the clothes were just too beautiful. They’d never seen such pretty clothes before. And the little skirts were pleated, sleeves with elastic, and each with a bow on the chest. The collar was adorned with several small flower buds, so blossod, so not yet, all very lifelike and attractive. The matching head flowers matched the clothes perfectly.
The boys’ outfits were simpler. However, they included a little bow tie, with matching shorts below and navy-style collars. With little leather shoes and white socks, they looked so dapper.
Little Taotao also had a matching outfit, just in extra small size, paired with his little black leather shoes, indeed a little handso fella.
The next two days weren’t going to be idle as they would have to dress up and do dress rehearsals.
In fact, the dance moves were all taught by Qin Xiangnuan. However, the subsequent practice was led by Jian Zhiqing. He had been an instructor in the past, and hence had his own teaching thods. The children were both scared of and fond of him. The final performance of the dance was very successful, especially with the matching costus—it added a lot of points to the dance, making it feel modern and fashionable.
On Children’s Day, Qin Xiangnuan still went to sell her scallion pancakes, and Jian Zhiqin didn’t go either. Because it was Children’s Day, both adults and children had the day off, and this performance was significant, with many local leaders attending. Thus, getting leave for family mbers with children in the show was easy.
Qin Xiangnuan was not worried at all, but that made Jian Zhiqin extrely anxious, even Conghua was getting worked up. Both man and dog were getting hysterical.
Finally, the door opened, Jian Zhiqin’s eyes lit up, and he ran over, shouting, "Sister, you’re back."
