Conghua sulkily drooped her two little ears and opened her wet eyes wide. Then she ran over and hugged Jian Zhiqing’s leg with her paws—indeed a true sycophant.

"Let’s go," said Jian Zhiqing as he opened the door and took Conghua for a walk.

Qin Tongnuan locked the door and then entered into the system. The discounted items were still there, but she didn’t really need them now. If the discount had co earlier, perhaps she could have saved a significant amount of Gold Coins.

She had been busy all day and hadn’t had the ti to embroider the Qingming River Painting. Now that she had so free ti, she ought to stitch a few lines. Otherwise, the daily awarded Gold Coins would go to waste.

After nearly completing the task quota and receiving the Gold Coins, she started sewing the clothes she had been working on, stitch by stitch. Thinking about selling Conghua pancakes in the new shop tomorrow, without having to wake up early and laboriously pedal the tricycle with the stove, she felt truly relieved.

Upon waking this morning, Qin Xiangnuan rubbed her eyes, instinctively thinking about lighting the stove and pedaling the tricycle to the shop.

However, perhaps because she was muddled with sleep, it took her a mont to rember that she didn’t have to pedal the tricycle there anymore.

After rubbing her eyes again, she finally ca to her senses. Starting today, she wouldn’t have to carry the load like a donkey; she just needed to go there in person.

"Are you leaving?" A man’s voice, cool and gentle, ca from behind her. Qin Xiangnuan turned and saw Jian Zhiqing, who apparently had woken up and was also about to leave.

"Brother Jian, I can go by myself," said Qin Xiangnuan, truly embarrassed. She always felt indebted and burdened when inconveniencing others.

"It’s alright," Jian Zhiqing walked over. "I get up early every day for my morning exercise anyway. Let help you with the stove, and then I’ll head back."

"Well... Okay then," Qin Xiangnuan couldn’t refuse when soone offered help; she couldn’t ungratefully reject such kind intentions.

Brother Jian, wait for .

It was then that Qin Xiangnuan rembered sothing. She rushed back into her room and took out a newly knitted, still warm light gray scarf. It was made of pure wool, hence very warm.

Conghua shook her little head, seeing her owner going out again. She withdrew, whimpering softly, and continued to sleep.

"Brother Jian, this is for you," said Qin Xiangnuan as she handed the scarf over. "The morning wind is strong and cold."

Jian Zhiqing accepted it and imdiately knew it was of good quality by touch—warm and soft. He wrapped the scarf around his neck and instantly felt much warr. The scarf was delicate and soft, probably woven from wool yarn. The color was also pleasant, and it suited him well.

When the two arrived at the door of the new shop, Qin Xiangnuan pulled out the keys from around her neck, unlocked the door, and opened it. As soon as the door opened, a faint sll of sulfur wafted out—apparently, the stove inside had not gone out. She opened the door wider to air the place out before entering.

Lifting the lid of the pot on the stove, the fire was indeed still burning. She opened the stove door and saw that the dough in the pot was well-rested and ready for baking pancakes.

Jian Zhiqing set everything up with the stove, and seeing there was nothing left for him to do, he decided to leave. Qin Xiangnuan preferred not having him around, and since he couldn’t assist further, he went back. He would co by again on his way to work later.
