Rather than calling it a small boat, it’s more of a bamboo raft.

Although it’s simple and crude, it’s unexpectedly useful.

Jiang Hui stood upon it, without feeling any jolts, steadily stopping in the middle of the great river.

He held a bamboo pole in his hand, using no force. The narrow wooden plank seed to have grown wings and sped away. Within monts, he had already distanced himself from that lonely island.

The river was astonishingly calm, and the water surface reflected the sky above, murky and chaotic.

Only this endless river surged and roared.

Jiang Hui did not rush to paddle but let the small boat drift along with the current.

He sat cross-legged, very calmly, his eyes shining, while he reached out to touch the water below him.

The flowing water murmured, bringing a hint of chill. Touching it felt no different from real water, yet upon contact, Jiang Hui could feel a current of suction running down the arm he extended.

Fortunately, he reacted promptly and withdrew his hand.

The river was calm as a mirror, but under the surface were hidden currents.

He wasn’t in a hurry to steer in any direction. In fact, to him, rowing towards any place was fine.

With ti passing,

Jiang Hui seed to beco one of those countless boatn, ordinary, mundane, yet persistent in seeking his own cherished Nirvana.

It was unclear how much ti had passed.

Jiang Hui had adapted to this ferryman’s life.

On the vast and magnificent river surface, there were many small islands just enough for one person, erging just a few ters above the water, most of them empty.

When encountering those islands with people, Jiang Hui would also row forward to chat, like other boatn.

However, he wouldn’t invite them to the islands but would inquire where they wished to travel to their Nirvana.

The shadows on the islands noticed how strange Jiang Hui’s small boat was and cast their curious gazes over.

Among them, so would engage in long and agreeable conversations with Jiang Hui. So even wished to board his small raft.

Jiang Hui agreed to each of them and transported the passengers to their desired Nirvana.

So boatn, seeing how impossibly basic his wooden raft was and how many people it carried, couldn’t help but feel envious and offered to help share the load.

Among the various hostile looks, Jiang Hui smiled and declined them all.

At the sa ti, the strange urge inside him grew stronger.

This vast sea, logically speaking, was ant to be part of his Sea of Consciousness, yet the scenes within were beyond his control.

Even as he found himself imrsed in it, he felt like an ordinary boatman.

This sea, perhaps, shouldn’t exist.

In the unseen, Jiang Hui felt a mysterious force fluctuating, seeking to devour him and trap him here eternally.

That was the Dao!

The true Dao!

Indescribable.

Because the Dao itself symbolizes the exhaustion of everything, the end of everything, the source of everything, beyond the capacity of words to describe.

The world contains all with Dao, and Dao likewise encompasses everything in this world.

It exists yet doesn’t exist.

Every breath of Spiritual Energy you take is Dao.

Every bite of food you consu is Dao.

Small as clothing, food, shelter, travel.

Any resource involved in cultivation.

Large as ti, Karma, fate, space, the so-called peak of the cultivation system, even the powerful life itself...

All are Dao, part of Dao.

It’s always present yet always absent.

Because you know every action is the path of Dao, yet you can never truly perceive its existence.

Right now, this boundless river is the True Body ford by the condensation of Dao.

In fact, this situation shouldn’t occur because Dao is fleeting, constantly changing, and cannot maintain a single state for long. Moreover, no one can touch the true Dao.

Just like no one can touch the void.

Jiang Hui didn’t know how much ti he had been crossing over the water. He was leisurely encountering kindred spirits seeking a shared journey, and he would generously extend his help.

Thus, Jiang Hui saw many Nirvanas spoken of by the boatn.

Those Nirvanas truly existed.

Jiang Hui gained much.

These shuttle-like boats, seemingly chaotic, were actually not.

On this journey, with every boatman he t, so ti would pass, and they’d almost always et again, as everyone was in search of their next Nirvana.

"I see," Jiang Hui suddenly understood.

"This river is the river of desires in everyone’s heart."

"It roars and flows endlessly. As long as the desires of all beings exist, this river will have no end."

"Birth, old age, sickness, death, greed, ignorance, anger, delusion—even if larger desires are the sa, upon careful distinction, there is always a difference, thus the river never ceases to flow!"

"This shows that Dao is the manifestation of desire!"

"Because all beings have desires, even every flower, every grass, every tree possesses and seeks. The desire to ascend to higher realms, to possess greater power, to live with more dignity..."

"Especially, everyone’s desires change at different tis. Often, once a desire is fulfilled, it’s quickly replaced by a new one in the heart."

Jiang Hui felt his Sea of Consciousness boiling unprecedentedly.

His entire being felt as if it were amidst raging fire.

The islands are equivalent to the Pure Land within desires.

The people on the islands are akin to newborn babies, like blank sheets of paper waiting for soone to write and ink them.

As for the eager boatn inviting others aboard, they’re actually trying to impose their obsessions on others.
