"Why has Senior Jiang remained silent all this ti? Is it because you think I’m talking too much... or did I say sothing wrong?"

Emperor rciless spoke and then quietly waited for Jiang Hui to respond.

Yet after waiting for half a day, she never heard the man speak, so she couldn’t help but give a little reminder.

Though she’s not petty, speaking to oneself here feels sowhat unusual.

Most importantly,

What does that unfathomable look in Senior Jiang’s eyes an?

The Fierce Man nodded slightly, glancing at herself from the corner of her eye. Her long robe fluttered, with so places stained by blood, like golden plum blossoms blooming, but that was understandable. Besides those, there was nothing else amiss.

As if sensing the Fierce Man’s confusion, Jiang Hui spoke: "This seat was rely a little surprised that soone with Fellow Daoist Fierce Man’s disposition could also have monts of bewildernt."

Upon hearing this, the Fierce Man gave a bitter smile and said:

"Flesh and blood beings, even those who achieve the Great Tao, cannot escape the Seven Emotions and Six Desires. What’s more, the Great Tao is obscure and seemingly unknowable; even the most resilient find it hard to avoid confusion."

"As the saying goes, one begets two, two begets three, and three begets all things. The actions of the Bizarre Clan are tantamount to burying all things, burying the three. But if the three do not exist, isn’t it equivalent to the two, one, or even the Great Tao ceasing to exist? Please, Senior Jiang, help resolve this confusion!"

"Senior Jiang, I implore you to enlighten !"

Emperor rciless slightly extended her arm, with a touch of solemnity, clasping her fist in respect towards Jiang Hui.

For the first ti, Jiang Hui realized that Emperor rciless could say so much.

And the questions ca one after another.

The Fierce Man looked at Jiang Hui, filled with hope.

Over the years, he was the only one she couldn’t see through.

Most importantly, his understanding of the Great Tao was unique, not just forming a separate system but distinct, and perhaps even beyond the common reasoning she could comprehend.

Perhaps he could help answer her heart’s doubts.

But unexpectedly, the man did not speak. Instead, he slowly shook his head.

"This, I cannot resolve for you, Fellow Daoist."

"Why not?"

In the past, the Fierce Man would have just let it go. She never forced others to do the impossible. But at this mont, for so reason, she couldn’t help but want to find out why.

Perhaps in her view, Jiang Hui was the only and most likely lifeline to answer the doubts in her heart.

Yet now, this lifeline not only didn’t save her but kept a distance instead.

She, the dignified Emperor rciless, who had co thus far, overturning heaven and earth, was not so little girl from a family. Why did it have to be this way?

"There’s no reason. It’s just that I think Fellow Daoist’s Great Tao is as solid as gold and as firm as a rock, impossible to lose faith in one’s own Tao. Even if it happens, it would only be temporary. There is no need for anyone else, including myself, to resolve your puzzles. All answers are in your heart."

"As they say, all answers lie in self-nature. The Buddha says, ’The Ten Thousand Laws are solely created by the mind.’ The mind is the source of everything, and the external environnt is manifested by the mind. If one can introspect self-nature, clarify the mind and see the nature, all doubts will naturally dissipate."

"The self-nature of Bodhi is inherently pure, but by using this mind, one becos enlightened and attains Buddhahood. Therefore, cultivation does not seek externally but looks within. By understanding the true mind, one achieves liberation."

"Senior Jiang... your words sound familiar. Are they from the Sixth Patriarch’s Sutra?" The Fierce Man arched her delicate eyebrows.

"Fellow Daoist heard it before?"

Jiang Hui was a little surprised. He originally intended to put on an act but didn’t expect that she recognized the words.

"Senior Jiang... you’re very good at comforting people."

The Fierce Man did not answer directly but, contrary to her usual deanor, smiled instead.

Imdiatley after.

The laughter subsided.

She directly turned around to descend the mountain.

This left Jiang Hui sowhat baffled, unable to make sense of the situation.

...

As night fell.

The night was cool like water, stars dotted the sky, and the back mountain stood in sheer silence.

But in Jiang Hui’s sleeping quarters, it was bustling,

The sound of muffled voices could be heard.

After a while.

All the heat of the mont dissipated completely.

Liu RuYan, with her head resting on Jiang Hui’s broad and powerful chest, spoke with concern: "Sir, it seems Sister Liu’s condition is not well."

"How so? Please, tell in detail." Jiang Hui inquired, pausing for a mont.

Liu RuYan’s delicate eyebrows knit tightly, the worry in her eyes intensifying: "After that journey above Heaven, Sister Liu appears to have suffered severe injuries, with her essence being affected. Today, I went to chat with Sister Liu and asked her about her experiences. At first, we were talking happily, but then she suddenly couldn’t stop coughing. It was so severe, she even coughed up blood by the end. I was terrified, having never seen Sister Liu so frail."

Jiang Hui, upon hearing this, was filled with astonishnt and murmured after a while: "It’s that serious..."

Only realizing later, Jiang Hui suddenly rembered that the Phantom Primordial Ancestor seed to have shattered Willow God’s primordial essence in one strike.

From this perspective, her essence wounds were indeed much more severe than those of Emperor rciless.

Hearing this, Liu RuYan quickly grabbed Jiang Hui’s arm, pleading urgently: "Sir, do you have any way to save Sister Liu? I really can’t bear to see her suffer."

Looking at Liu RuYan’s anxious expression, Jiang Hui couldn’t help but smile, his eyes full of tenderness. He reached out and gently ruffled Liu RuYan’s head, saying:

"Don’t worry. I do have so thods."

With that, he reached into the void before him, as if opening an invisible space door.
