Aurora hadn’t intended to explain anything to him. With Ryan Spencer in the room, she began to feel sowhat uneasy.

"Uncle, could you please tell why you wanted to co here?" she asked calmly, though her impatient gaze revealed her true feelings.

"Oh, Aurora, why the hurry?" Lorenzo chuckled, noticing that the girl seed impatient.

"We don’t get to see each other often. How about we grab so lunch before diving into anything else? It just so happens that your Uncle Ryan is also here with us..."

Ryan Spencer could no longer bear Aurora’s neglect. He retorted, "Aurora, have you lost your manners? Your Uncle Lorenzo just asked you a question, yet you ignored him."

Aurora was surprised to hear Ryan Spencer’s words; she still tried to appear calm. However, her composure slowly faded when she heard Ryan’s following words.

"Oh, Jas, my brother, I feel deep sorrow for you. You diligently worked to send your little girl, Aurora, to the capital for her education. She hasn’t beco smart; instead, she has beco a rude city girl. A girl without lady’s manners."

Ryan expressed his sadness about his late older brother, his voice heavy with grief as his expression gradually beca somber.

Aurora chuckled silently at her uncle’s insincerity. How could he express sadness over her father when their relationship had always been fraught during her father’s life?

"Ryan, let’s not lay any bla on your lovely niece," Lorenzo quickly said, noticing the surprise on Aurora’s face. He honestly didn’t want her to feel uneasy about the situation.

"But, Brother Loren..." Ryan can’t finish his words when he notices Lorenzo lifting his hand to stop him from speaking.

"Please, stop and don’t involve Jas. He is resting peacefully up there..." Lorenzo smiles at Ryan and turns to Aurora.

Lorenzo felt relieved when he saw that Aurora no longer showed her surprise; she appeared more relaxed.

"Aurora, are you sure you wouldn’t like to grab so lunch first? You seem a bit pale, and I can’t help but feel concerned that you might not be feeling your best, dear..." Lorenzo said.

"It’s alright, Uncle Lorenzo; thanks for asking, but I’m not really hungry," Aurora replied softly, her tone much more relaxed than before. She stayed calm and didn’t let Ryan Spencer get to her this ti.

"Sure thing! I promise not to keep us waiting too long." Lorenzo’s smile grew even brighter as he stood up from his chair. "Just a mont, please." He walked over to his desk with a light step.

Not long after, Lorenzo ca in, holding a big, sealed brown envelope. As he took his seat, he turned to Aurora with a thoughtful expression.

"I asked you to et because I need to open and read this... your father’s will."

Aurora suspected this before arriving at the building; Lorenzo invited her here related to her father’s will.

But, a question lingered in her mind: Why was her uncle here? Was it rely coincidental, or had Uncle Lorenzo invited him to co?

"And because this is important, I invited your Uncle Ryan to join us," Lorenzo’s statent surprised Aurora.

"Dear, your uncle’s presence is crucial as a witness. I also invited your Uncle Willow and Aunt gan, but they could not attend," he continued.

"I understand, Uncle," Aurora said with a smile. "You may open and read the will. I’m curious to know..."

Aurora did not expect much from her father’s will, as the most significant inheritance he left her was the number of shares Alex had given her the night before.

Lorenzo quickly opened the envelope and read the will he had drafted with his best friend, Jas Spencer before his illness claid his life.

His only daughter, Aurora Spencer, inherited several properties throughout the city, and a plot of land was given to his younger siblings. Additionally, all the money in his bank account will be transferred directly to Aurora.

After finishing reading the will, Lorenzo finally closed it. He observed Aurora’s expression and was stunned by how calm she appeared. It makes him curious about her thoughts.

"Aurora, are you clear about what I just read? Is there anything you like to ask?" he inquired.

Lorenzo’s question pulled Aurora from her thoughts. She responded with a quick head shake.

"Okay. I am glad you find the will clear as crystal. So, I’ll handle the transfer of entitlent process. I’ll need your signature on a few docunts when they are ready. However, that won’t be today; I anticipate all the papers will be available to you for signing in a few days."

"Understood, Uncle Lorenzo. I’ll wait," she said, glancing at Ryan Spencer, who appeared frozen and had a piercing gaze fixed on her.

From Ryan Spencer’s cold gaze, Aurora realized that her uncle was displeased with her father’s will.

Aurora glanced away with a soft but apparent sigh, signaling she ignored whatever was in his uncle’s mind and turned her attention back to Lorenzo.

"Uncle, if there’s nothing more for to do here, I’d really like to take my leave..."

"Of course, my dear! I will take care of everything here, but please rember to pick up my call when I ring," Lorenzo said.

"Sure, Uncle Lorenzo..." Aurora rose from her seat.

She gazed at Ryan. "I’m leaving, Uncle Ryan," she said politely, barely smiling at him.

Aurora walks toward the door without waiting for Ryan to say anything.

She gestured for Josh to join her. As they made their way to the elevator, both said nothing, as if they worried soone might hear them.

...

As soon as they stepped outside the building, Aurora felt relieved that her uncle hadn’t stopped her.

anwhile, Josh walked beside her, unable to suppress his curiosity any longer.

He asked, "Madam, why did your father choose to leave an inheritance to his younger siblings?"

Aurora hesitated to respond, feeling uncertain. To answer him, she needed to either rember everything from Aurora Spencer’s mory or ask Tina or Neil.

When Aurora entered the car, she planned to call Tina.

Just as she was about to look for her number, a text from Tina popped up on her cell phone screen.

"Ma’am, could you co here, please? Neil wants to tell you sothing, and he ntioned he can only tell you in person, face to face."

Aurora frowned.

’Why is Neil hesitant to talk to on the phone? Is his cell phone being monitored?’
