David quickly followed them. "Guys, I didn’t bring my car. Can I ride with you, Josh?"
"What? No! You can take a taxi. They are plenty, and they would be glad to have taken you everywhere," Josh replied sharply as he opened the car door for Aurora.
Josh remained annoyed at David. If it weren’t for Aurora, he would have punched David, even though David was his boss’s cousin.
"Hell! Josh, how could you ask to take a taxi? What if soone kidnaps ?" David asked innocently.
When he saw that Josh was ignoring him, he turned to Aurora. "Rory, can you please let follow your car?" he pleaded.
Aurora felt her emotions swirl when she heard David’s words. This was the first ti soone had called her "Rory" since her rebirth; not even Tina, her nanny, had used that na.
Her hand clenched tightly as she struggled to remain calm. She ignored David and pretended not to recognize that na.
"Oops, sorry, I ant Aurora..." David quickly corrected himself, realizing he had received no response. Aurora felt relieved but still halted herself from responding. "Please, Aurora. Can I follow your car?" he asked again.
While waiting for Aurora to enter the car, Josh was shocked to hear David call her "Rory."
Instantly, sothing jolted in his heart, and mories of his most admirable best friend, Aurora Moon, flooded his mind. For a few seconds, he found himself wishing and imagining that his lady boss was Rory.
However, as he looked at Aurora when she was ignoring David’s call, he dismissed the thought, considered it a pity, and could only laugh amusedly at himself.
’Stupid Josh! How could a dead person be reborn? That’s delusional!’ Josh shook his head and looked down, avoiding eye contact with Aurora, who had stopped just before him.
"Why are you asking ?" Aurora said, halting her step. She turned to see David behind her. "I’m sorry, David, but this isn’t my car; it belongs to Josh..." she added before getting inside the vehicle and closing the door.
Aurora couldn’t let David follow her because she planned to visit Serendipity Restaurant. She missed her best friend and wanted to celebrate her final exam with them.

"Where are we going next?" Josh asked as their car passed through the campus gate.
Aurora had already planned to visit Serendipity Restaurant to et her best friends.
This would be her second visit to the restaurant since her last ti there. She was confident she would see them because today was Friday.
Danny typically went to Serendipity on Friday nights to spend the weekend with Renata, and she hoped he would also show up today.
Aurora glanced at Josh and said, "I want to eat at a restaurant to celebrate the last day of our exams."
"That’s a good idea. Should I choose the location, or do you want to do it, Aurora?" Josh asked quickly.
He had been looking out for her for the past two weeks and knew she enjoyed grilled at and sweet foods, but she wasn’t a fan of seafood.
"I can do it myself, thanks," she replied. "Let’s go to Main Business Street; there’s a restaurant with delicious rib-eye steak." She then gave him the address of Serendipity Restaurant.
Josh was surprised to learn that the restaurant was on Business Street, a thirty-minute drive from their current location.
"I apologize for asking, but should we head to the restaurant now or go ho before going there?"
Aurora was stunned. How could she forget? Dinner ti is still hours from now.
"We’re leaving for the restaurant now," Aurora replied.
Then, she closed her eyes. She felt that the only thing that mattered now was to let her old self rest after the exam and eting Beatrix.
Josh was even more confused. He rembered seeing her eat in the cafeteria. Was she hungry again?
"We just had lunch. Are you hungry again, Aurora?" he quickly glanced at her.
Aurora scolded Josh in her mind for asking her again just as she was about to rest.
Without opening her eyes, she replied, "It’s because of that white lotus, Beatrix Adams. Her negativity has drained my energy, and now I feel hungry again. I need to replenish my energy with rib-eyes!"
"Oops, sorry! I forgot about that bitch. She is really an eyesore. Well, now I feel hungry and need more energy, too," Josh said with a laugh.
After hearing Josh’s words, Aurora no longer felt exhausted. She opened her eyes and gazed at the bustling street ahead.
"I do love to eat, but there aren’t many dishes I can enjoy."
Josh suddenly rembered sothing and felt excited to share this similarity with her.
"Yeah, I know you only like grilled at and sweets. And you know what, Aurora?"
Aurora stared at him, curious about what he wanted to say. "What?"
"You are similar to my best friend..."
Instantly, Aurora felt her heart tighten, knowing who Josh was referring to as his best friend—it was her.
’Oh no! Did I just expose myself?’ She swallowed and vented her frustration. How could she always forget that she was Aurora Spencer whenever she was with Josh?
"Really?" she replied casually.
"Hmm..." Josh felt all the words he wanted to express were stuck in his throat. His heart ached every ti he rembered Aurora Moon.
"Are you seriously planning to stay there until dinner?" Josh tried to change the subject, worried that the mood in the car would turn bleak if they continued talking about his best friend.
Aurora smiled faintly upon hearing his question, aware that Josh was attempting to divert their conversation.
"Hmm, I’ll stay here until night..." Aurora replied, her gaze turned toward the window. She had no reason to return ho quickly; it felt pointless since Alex never ca back ho.
Sighing silently, Aurora attempted to erase Alex from her mind. She didn’t want her mood to be spoiled because of him.
Tonight, she wanted to enjoy dinner outside. It would be better for her to spend ti with Renata and Danny rather than return to an empty house.
