Just before lunchti, the landline on Aurora’s desk rang, interrupting her work.
"Rory, I’m hungry..."
Alex’s weak voice caught her off guard.
She looked at the clock, shocked to realize she had spent too long in front of her computer and had lost track of ti.
"I lost track of ti. While I imrse myself in reviewing Alvin and the others’ work, everything else fades away. Seriously, why haven’t you called sooner?"
Aurora thought Alex might need sothing after his morning eting, yet he hadn’t reached out to her.
"I chose to allow you so space to focus. It’s your first day..."
"Oh, you’re incredibly generous, Boss Alex!"
Alex chuckled, hearing her playful teasing.
"You promise to cook for ? Shall we go now?"
"Hmm, let’s head to the apartnt..." Aurora suggested, ending the call.
Instead of stopping by Alex’s office, she chose to head directly to the apartnt; she needed to prepare to cook their lunch.
Aurora walked through the empty, luxurious lobby toward the apartnt on the sa floor but on the opposite side of their workspace.
At the sa ti, Alan and Alvin exited the elevator and spotted her.
"Do you need sothing, Aurora?" Alvin asked.
Aurora slowed her pace slightly, shaking her head with a smile.
"No, but I’m in a hurry to cook for our boss," she said in a casual tone, then hurried along, leaving Alvin and Alan slightly breathless with surprise.
"Wow, Aurora has a new task now: cooking for Boss Alex." Alvin grinned as he watched Aurora step into Alex’s apartnt.
Alan smiled faintly, leaning closer to Alvin as he whispered, "Don’t forget; she also ward our boss’s bed."
Alvin was surprised to hear Alan use vulgar words. He can’t believe he has such a sense of humor, too.
"Damn Alan, are you trying to put us in trouble by saying such words? If Boss Alex hears us, he might punish us both..." Alvin shook his head and gave a bitter smile.
"Man, I’m surprised to hear my own words, too." Alan chuckled softly, adding, "Maybe I’ve lost my mind knowing that Boss Alex’s wife is now our boss."
But their laughter disappeared imdiately when they were about to walk to their office and saw Alex standing not far behind them.
"Are you both enjoying discussing my wife?" Alex asks quietly, a smile playing on his lips, though his eyes remain icy.
Alan and Alvin exchanged worried glances, ntally scolding themselves for their mistake.
"B-Boss..." Alvin stamred. "We aren’t talking about her; we just praised her." He clarified quickly before excusing himself and leaving Alan alone.
’Damn you, Alvin! You’re such a traitor...’ Alan vented his frustration inwardly as he watched Alvin run away.
Alan smiled at Alex and said, "Sir, what Alvin said was true. We praise your wife... She is talented! Sir, I need to do sothing in my office..." He bowed slightly and followed Alvin.
Alex could only smile bitterly as he looked at them, then continued to the apartnt.
He can’t bla them; his wife is genuinely capable. She is talented at her office job and can cook and warm his bed.
’Oh, there’s still much ti before my afternoon eting!’
A sultry thought crossed his mind as he quickened his pace to et her.
...
"You can sleep however you like, Rory..." Alex said, waking Aurora. She looked toward the bathroom and noticed Alex had just showered and was trying on a fresh shirt.
Aurora turned her gaze to the ceiling. A smile spread across her lips as she recalled what had happened in this room.
"Take all the ti to stay here and rest; I don’t need you in the office right now. After my afternoon eting, we can head ho together."
Once again, Alex’s voice distracted Aurora. She leaned in to see him approaching the bed, struggling to button his shirt.
She tossed the blanket aside and got up from the bed, ignoring that he was only wearing his t-shirt and nothing underneath. Though she said nothing, she assisted him in buttoning his shirt.
"Thank you..." Alex smiled, straightening her still-ssy hair before placing his hand on her waist, allowing her to help him tie his tie.
"It’s fine, I’m well-rested..." Aurora responded, peering at the clock. It was past one. She couldn’t sleep when others were working.
"Mr. Graystone, maybe next ti, let’s avoid that during work?" she directed a piercing look at him.
"I agree with you, my wife!" Alex smiled, noticing her seriousness.
He added, "I’m just thrilled because this is the first ti we’ve done that here..." He smiles lovingly. "Besides, we’re still in our honeymoon phase, Rory, and you’re just too hot for to ignore. You can’t bla for that, my love!"
Aurora was at a loss for words upon hearing his words. She needed to shift the topic, or they would remain trapped in this bedroom until the end of the day.
"Mr. Graystone, you’re all set. You can leave now. I’ll return to my office after I change..." Aurora paused, reflecting on sothing.
"Alex, did soone help organize my clothes here?" Aurora asked with concern. "I need to change my clothes. I can’t wear my clothes now; you tore them!"
She recalls they had only eaten half their lunch earlier, and Alex couldn’t contain his desire to make love with her. He was in a hurry and didn’t take the ti to help her undress; instead, he quickly tore her clothes off.
Alex chuckled, noticing her pout, which only made her look more adorable.
He gently brushed the tip of her nose and said with a grin, "I asked Alvin to bring over so of your favorite clothes. I hope he picked out the ones you love..."
Aurora quickly urges him to leave, concerned that he might change his mind and cancel his afternoon eting.
Alex leaned in and softly kissed between her eyebrows before saying, "No need to rush, Rory. Just take your ti here..."
"Hmm, I will," Aurora replied. However, just as Alex was about to leave the bedroom, sothing crossed her mind, and she stopped him. "Alex, tonight we’re going on a double date."
"What? A double date? With who?"
"Rena and Danny—"
