Chapter 187: Chapter 187: Dinner II
Song Recomndation: After Like By Ive
The five of them discussed, before they decided to have dinner.
After dinner, Zhou Mian did not stop bugging Lu Wei for an autograph.
Lu Wei was torn between fulfilling his duty as an artist, and keeping his bond with Tang Mo.
Tang Mo noticed the trouble Lu Wei was facing; thus, he could only nod his head reluctantly.
"Fine, where do you want the autograph?" Lu Wei asked, happy that he was able to fulfill his fan’s wishes.
Zhou Mian had a sad look on her face as her mood dampened imdiately.
"If I had known that I would et you today, I would have co with my customized t-shirt," Zhou Mian had a disappointed look on her face as she breathed out.
"We could do it when you have the t-shirt with you," Lu Wei suggested.
"No, don’t bother, just sign it on this notebook," she rejected his suggestion as she fiddled through her purse.
A smile appeared on her face as she found the notebook.
"Here, you can sign it here," she pushed the notebook to him with a happy smile on her face.
Lu Wei collected it from her, and signed it before handing it back to her.
"Are you happy now?" Tang Mo ca to stand beside her as he stared daggers at the notebook. He wanted to rip it, but he knew that it would hurt her if he did so.
"I am," Zhou Mian did not pay attention to Tang Mo’s increasingly frosty face.
Zhou Mian did not notice, but the others noticed, and they could only chuckle at Tang Mo’s pettiness.
"I have sothing to discuss with you both, would you give
an audience?" Lu Wei spoke up, breaking the tension.
"Sure, let’s talk in the study," Li Qiang answered, and the three n walked to the study, leaving the two won to their antics.
"What do you want to talk about?" Li Qiang asked as they settled down in the study.
"It’s about the Lu’s," Lu Wei clenched his fists just by ntioning that na.
Li Qiang and Tang Mo exchanged glances at hearing his response. They knew the discussion would take a lot of ti.
Lu Wei had intense hatred against that family, and for him to personally want to talk about them, they must have done sothing to anger him.
"Before we start, I will get the wine," for such a long discussion, Li Qiang felt that there was a need to have a drink.
The remaining two n agreed to it. Thankfully, there was a secret cellar in Li Qiang’s study, so there was no need for him to leave the study.
"You still have the cellar installed in your study? I thought you would have pulled it down," Tang Mo remarked on seeing him walk to the cellar.
"What makes you think so?" Li Qiang asked with a chuckle as he handed them the glasses filled with red wine.
"Hmm, Old ch??teau, 1873, how do you have this wine?" Lu Wei comnted with a sigh after taking a sip.
"I see your wine tasting skills are still there," Tang Mo smiled at the youngest in the group.
"Have you forgotten that I have a winery?" Lu Wei scoffed.
They first had their little banter, before moving to the important issue.
"What did you find out?" Li Qiang asked, staring at Lu Wei with worry.
He was worried about him. The Lu’s have proven to be dangerous, and he wondered what they planned to do.
"The head of the family reached out to , it turns out his sons are not fit to be businessn as they have all turned out to be rascals, he wants
to take over," Lu Wei inford them.
He did not bother calling him dad since he did not consider Lu Jang to be his father, the sa way Lu Jang did not consider him to be his son.
Li Qiang and Tang Mo had stupefied expressions on their faces.
They knew one or two about the reputations of the Lu brothers. They were miscreants, to say the least, and it was not surprising that Lu Jang did not want them to be the next head.
But they would never have thought in a thousand years that he would lower his head to beg Lu Wei, the son he had abandoned for twenty-six years.
Li Qiang cleared his throat, completely speechless by the turn of events.
"So, what do you plan to do?" Tang Mo asked with curiosity.
If there was soone who hated Lu Jang the most, then it would definitely be Lu Wei, but he had just been begged to take over. It was not clear what he was going to do.
"Honestly, I have no idea, which was why I decided to ask you both, he is also promising
a fifty percent share of the company, but I don’t want it," Lu Wei had a conflicted expression on his face.
This was the first ti he was faced with such a dilemma, and he would rather not be in it. Occasionally, he wished he were born in a normal family, without any fights.
He did not bother to hide his thoughts, hence, Li Qiang and Tang Mo could easily read his face.
Li Qiang breathed out, before saying, "you do not need to question your birth, there must be a reason for you to be in the family, but concerning this issue, you would be the one to decide, we cannot choose what you have to do because you might not like it."
"Lu Wei, Li Qiang is right, this battle is yours to fight, and any decision you choose, just know your brothers are here for you," Tang Mo smiled at him.
Lu Wei looked at the two people who had always had his back since they beca friends, and his eyes beca misty. They were the only ones who cared about him.
"Hey, don’t cry, I do not know how to console a grown man," Tang Mo imdiately stopped him, teasing him at the sa ti.
The tears which were about to drop from his eyes were forced back as they all shared laughs, clinking their glasses against each other.
