Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Putting It To Action
"Put away your smile," Jiang Lanfen’s breath turned heavy as she subconsciously took steps backwards.
"Why should I? You do not tell
what to do, and besides, smiling enhances my beauty, why should I put it away just because of you?" Xin Yan asked, while she looked at her, feeling perplexed.
Jiang Lanfen could only stare at her. What Xin Yan had said made a lot of sense, and there was no way to refute her.
"Xin Yan, we were close to each other, what changed between us? I only need the reason, you were not this way in the past,
Your change is incomprehensible, and a day does not go by without
thinking about it," Jiang Lanfen decided to act like a victim, as her face trickled with tears, fake tears, though.
Xin Yan was irked by the tears. She had seen these tears nurous tis in her past life, and she was annoyed because she felt for it every single ti.
She would always run to her aide every ti she witnessed her cry.
While Jiang Lanfen was reliving Xin Yan’s goodness to her, Xin Yan was lost in thoughts. She recalled the tis when she would leave her work, just to rush to Jiang Lanfen’s side when she was sad.
Now that she thought about it, she was extrely foolish. The signs were all there for her to see, but she decided to ignore it, or rather, she was too blind to notice it.
Jiang Lanfen said a lot, and when she was done, she was expecting Xin Yan to be in tears, but Xin Yan’s reaction was beyond her expectation.
Xin Yan who she expected to be emotional after all her speech, stood there lost in thought, and it was obvious she did not pay attention to what she had been saying previously.
Jiang Lanfen gritted her teeth, she clenched and unclenched her fists. She was so close to hitting Xin Yan in the face.
"Xin Yan!" She yelled out the na, her veins throbbing in annoyance.
"Uh?" Xin Yan was jolted out of her reverie by the call.
"You were not listening," Jiang Lanfen forced out a smile which was worse than a cry, as she looked at Xin Yan who scratched her hair, it was definitely not itchy.
"Why should I listen to what you have to say? It was sothing I did, and you do not need to constantly remind
of my stupidity," Xin Yan was more than peeved just by listening to Jiang Lanfen’s words.
Jiang Lanfen could only stare at her with perplexed eyes. She was also miffed by Xin Yan’s action.
"Why did you call
here then? I believe you want
to know why you changed," Jiang Lanfen decided to ask for the reason. She was getting impatient just by standing there.
"I have a story to tell you," Xin Yan walked around her, causing a frown to appear on JIang Lanfen’s face.
Xin Yan was about to tell the story.
"What story?" Jiang Lanfen questioned. She felt a sense of foreboding just by listening to the tone Xin Yan used.
Xin Yan turned to look at her and a smile appeared on her face as she told the story.
Once she was done with the story, she looked at Jiang Lanfen’s face which was ghastly pale, and she felt so sort of relief in her heart.
"Do you want to know how I know such a story?" Xin Yan asked, while Jiang Lanfen nodded in return.
"That is because I lived that life," Xin Yan finally revealed the truth.
Jiang Lanfen snapped her head towards Xin Yan as she looked at her with wide eyes. She could not believe what she just heard.
"Do you an you were reborn?" Jiang asked tentatively.
"What do you think?" Xin Yan asked, a smirk was dancing on her lips as she derived pleasure just by watching her petrified look.
"That is not possible," Jiang Lanfen shook her head as she walked around the space. She was not willing to believe what Xin Yan just said.
Xin Yan’s brows shot up in surprise. Honestly, she was expecting her reaction to be this way, but she did not expect it to be this extre.
"You must have made this up, there is no such thing as being reborn after death, this must be your ploy to make
feel guilty, but guess what, I am not falling for your plans," Jiang Lanfen smiled at her. She was being delusional.
Xin Yan looked at her with a mocking smile. Occasionally, she wondered how Jiang Lanfen could co up with crazy speculations.
"You need to tell
why you think I am lying, do you think I would wake up one day just to sche against you, I am not that free," Xin Yan fixed her gaze on her, it was official, Jiang Lanfen was crazy.
"Yes, I have gotten it, this is because of Yuan Renshu, you have not gotten over him, this must be the reason," Jiang Lanfen clapped her hands, it seed she had just discovered a big secret.
Xin Yan looked at the stupid woman, and she ntally facepald. It seems she was going to spend more ti here.
While Jiang Lanfen was celebrating on finally discovering the ’truth,’ Xin Yan sent a text ssage to Li Qiang, she was asking for more ti.
Li Qiang, who had received the ssage, sat up straight. He looked at the stubs of cigarette sticks which he had smoked, and he exhaled. He took out another pack, as he had finished that one, he was getting impatient.
He was well aware of the fact that Xin Yan would not rest until he replied, and thus, he sent her a reply, he also aired his frustrations.
Xin Yan chuckled on reading his ssage. It was her chuckle that brought Jiang Lanfen out from the delusional world she had created for herself, as she turned to Xin Yan with her face twisted.
"Are you making fun of ?" Jiang Lanfen questioned as she glared at Xin Yan.
Fortunately, Xin Yan had already kept her phone, or Jiang Lanfen who always ca up with crazy conjectures would have thought
That Xin Yan took a picture of her.
"You cannot bla , your attitude is what caused
to laugh," Xin Yan chuckled, and she sighed. Her plan was to send Jiang Lanfen to jail.
She had considered letting her face the sothing which she faced previously, that was to make her burn in the fire, but after several deliberations, she decided against it.
Her plan was to make her annoyed, lose her emotions, then attack her. The police would then show up, arrest her.
It was a flawless plan, except that she might be hurt. This was the reason Li Qiang was so against it. He might support her, but he was scared.
"Xin Yan!" Jiang Lanfen yelled out her na.
"Yes, that is my na, and you should address
with respect, this na is very precious," Xin Yan cast a contemptuous gaze towards her.
She was egging her on. She wanted her to lose control of her temper, and oh, it was working.
If Jiang Lanfen had any idea what Xin Yan was planning, she would rein in her temper. But sadly, she was not aware of it, which was advantageous to Xin Yan.
"I will kill you," Jiang Lanfen had lost all reasoning as she rushed towards Xin Yan.
’Bingo!’ Xin Yan muttered in her mind as her eyes flashed with a sharp light.
Suddenly, Xin Yan felt a sharp pain in her stomach as she fell to the floor, holding the stomach at the sa ti.
She looked up to Jiang Lanfen who had kicked her in the stomach, and Jiang Lanfen had a satisfied look on her face.
"Ouch!" She groaned, still holding her stomach, though deep within her, she was about to die from laughing.
"Xin Yan, I have been holding back," she approached her like a deranged being, and Xin Yan in return crawled backwards.
"Do you know how much I have been wanting to lay my hands on you?" Jiang Lanfen questioned as she squatted right in front of Xin Yan who was breathing heavily, she had a scared look on her face, of course, it was all an act.
But the pain Xin Yan felt in her stomach was incomprehensible. She had no clue that Jiang Lanfen could have such an explosive power. The kick ca as a surprise to her, it caught her off guard.
Xin Yan did not reply to her words. She was thinking if Li Qiang had already called the police. And if he had, she wondered how he was going to react once he found her in this situation.
He had specifically warned her not to get hurt, but she was not careful. She would have to spend a lot of ti consoling him.
Jiang Lanfen looked at the woman who only kept her head lowered. She felt that sothing was wrong.
The Xin Yan she knew would not take a beating lightly, instead, she was going to retaliate, at least that was what the present Xin Yan would do.
But her demure attitude rang warning bells in her mind, but she ignored it as she trailed her hands on her cheeks.
