As the crowded throng helped Ye Wenhui aboard the train and settled her luggage, Shi Jingfang stretched out her arms to embrace her daughter. She leaned close to Ye Wenhui’s ear and whispered a reminder, "Be more vigilant from now on, especially around that girl Wenjuan."

Ye Wenhui laughed. Mom finally believes what I said! "Don’t worry," Ye Wenhui replied, "I’m not stupid."

With a long whistle, the train slowly pulled away from the platform.

Back in the small courtyard, Yunyi changed out of the clothes stained with blood from saving soone earlier.

Those seeds I got at noon... Yunyi thought. She didn’t bother drawing the curtains even though it was broad daylight and instead stood behind the door to enter her space.

The waterlon vines, previously planted with Spatial Well Water, had crawled quite a distance and had even started to produce pale yellow flowers.

The other plants, watered with regular tap water, had also begun to vine. But they’ll need pollination, Yunyi thought, a little worried.

Taking out the seeds she had received at noon, Yunyi got busy. Her thod was straightforward. She used a small dicinal hoe from the space to make a furrow in the cracks between the stones, scattered the seeds, covered them with soil, and then watered them, finishing the job in one go.

It’s strange, she mused, the soil in these stone cracks is top quality. And this small dicinal hoe makes furrows so easily.

Half an hour later, Yunyi had planted all the small packets of seeds.

It’s still early, Yunyi considered. I might as well go for a walk up the back mountain. There’s a small stream halfway up, which would be a good place to wash these clothes too.

She put the clothes and a box of soap in a basin and stored them in her space.

She took out a wood-chopping knife, tossed it into her carrying basket, and then locked the door, leaving the small courtyard.

To avoid unnecessary trouble, she steered clear of the villagers working in the fields. Once she entered the mountain, she went to the stream, washed her clothes, and stored them back in her space.

With her basket on her back, she ventured deeper into the mountains. Along the way, besides firewood, she also collected many dry pine needles into her space, which could be used later for starting fires.

After walking a bit further, she encountered several chestnut trees. Yunyi wanted to take a smaller one into the space. I wonder if it will survive once it grows bigger and stronger? I’m not clear about the conditions beneath the rocks in the space.

She decided to act imdiately. Anyway, I’ll plant it first and figure out the rest later.

After moving one into her space, she frowned. I don’t have the right tools. That small dicinal hoe isn’t practical for digging a pit this size. I’ll just leave it for now and deal with it when I get proper tools.

She also collected several pear trees and persimmon trees into the space.

Most excitingly, she discovered beehives on a Basswood Tree—and not just one. Yunyi circled the Basswood Tree for a long ti, coveting it greatly.

I want to bring this tree into the space, but it’s too large, and I don’t have the tools to plant it properly. Besides, my space can’t sustain living creatures. So, what should I do about the bees? Asking Carpenter Yin to make beehives would be hard to explain, and I don’t have the tools to make them myself. This is frustrating.

But this Basswood Tree has so many uses! It’s not just a honey source; it also has dicinal properties and can be used for wood carving. I really want to plant one in my space.

Never mind, I’ll take it first. So of the cracks between the stones are large enough to plant this Basswood Tree. I’m just not sure if there’s enough space underneath for its roots to grow. As for the bees... worst-case scenario, I’ll find soone to make a few beehives later and then figure out a way to move them out. They’ll still be alive when they co out of the space, anyway.

After the Basswood Tree was moved into the space, a large pit remained where it once stood. Yunyi suddenly had an idea. I can use this pit! She took a little Spatial Well Water from her space and sprinkled it into the hole. After lightly camouflaging it, it beca a ready-made trap. She then quickly found a safe place, climbed a tree, and waited quietly for results.
