Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant Chapter 515 Comrades, What Happened?
Yun Yiyi slept soundly throughout the night until dawn.
Early the next morning, after eating the breakfast prepared by Cheng Lanlan and her husband, she finally left the house.
Today, she had to make a trip to the Beijing Film Academy to help Qiao Shaoguo get sothing from Gui Kairong.
After getting off the bus, she registered at the gate and then proceeded inside.
However, just as she reached the office building where Gui Kairong was located, she saw a crowd of people gathered around.
Yunyi asked softly to a woman standing towards the back, "Excuse , what happened?"
The woman said with a gossipy expression, "It seems soone brought a sick family mber here, and I don’t know what set them off."
Just as she finished speaking, another woman comnted, "Why bring them out if they’re sick?"
A woman beside them retorted, "How can you be so heartless? Are you saying sick people should just be abandoned?"
Seeing soone arguing with her, the first woman said defensively, "That’s not what I ant."
"Then what did you an? Besides, the person was almost recovered. Would they have had a relapse if not for soone’s careless words?"
The first woman murmured under her breath, "How was I to know about all this?"
"If you don’t know, then don’t spout nonsense."
Just then, soone shouted, "Make way, make way! The doctor’s here! Everyone, please make way."
The sa person added, "There’s nothing to see here. Everyone, please disperse. Don’t block the building entrance; it’s causing a scene."
Seeing that the commotion was over, the crowd gradually dispersed in twos and threes.
Yunyi stepped into the building. To her surprise, the doctor who had just entered was heading to Gui Kairong’s office. She then rembered hearing that Gui Kairong’s sister supposedly had so ntal health issues. Could it really be such a coincidence?
Before she could enter, she heard from inside, "I apologize, but I don’t have any sedatives in my dical kit. I’ll need to go back and get them."
At that mont, Yunyi reached the doorway and saw Gui Kairong tightly embracing a woman. The woman was struggling so hard she was drenched in sweat.
Looking at her features, Yunyi knew for certain, without asking, that this had to be Gui Kairong’s sister.
Seeing the desperate look on Gui Kairong’s face, Yunyi offered, "I can calm her down. Would you like to try?"
Upon hearing her voice, Gui Kairong looked up. "Xiaochu, you’ve co just at the right ti! Quick, co and help," he exclaid.
He knew of Yunyi’s dical skills. She wouldn’t have offered if she wasn’t confident.
However, as soon as Gui Kairong spoke, the doctor who had ntioned needing sedatives sized Yunyi up with displeasure. "This is no joking matter," he said.
As Yunyi stepped inside, she took a box of silver needles from her pocket—actually, from her spatial storage, she thought.
Seeing her action, the doctor objected, "This is absurd! Given her current state, how could acupuncture possibly calm her down?"
Yunyi ignored him and simply looked at Gui Kairong. "Will you let try?" she asked.
Gui Kairong nodded. "If you doubt soone, don’t use them; if you use them, don’t doubt them. I believe in you."
Then, he explained to the doctor who had entered earlier, "Her acupuncture skills are a family inheritance and truly formidable."
Yunyi didn’t imdiately use the needles. First, she pressed a few acupoints on the woman’s body. Better to take precautions to avoid any trouble, she thought.
After massaging the woman’s head for a bit, she said to Gui Kairong, "Lay her down on that long bench over there, flat on her back."
The doctor behind her spoke up again skeptically, "Are you sure you know what you’re doing? She’s clearly having an episode, yet you’re having her lie flat. Don’t pretend to be an expert and end up harming her."
