On the way back, Lin Ruixian suddenly called, "Where are you now?"
Gu Ningyue glanced at a road sign and ntioned a place: "Life Road."
"Then wait for there! I’m a bit hungry," Lin Ruixian said. "There’s a noodle place around there that seems pretty good; I’ll take a cab to et you."
Gu Ningyue’s stomach growled twice; she was a bit hungry too.
She looked around and couldn’t help but question, "You must be mistaken? There are only building material stores here; where would a noodle shop be?"
Lin Ruixian paused, "It’s there, I’ll send you the address, you head over first."
Gu Ningyue agreed and, after hanging up, received the address from Lin Ruixian.
She entered the destination into the navigator and after walking for about ten minutes, Gu Ningyue saw a small villa standing at the end of an alley.
The villa looked quite old, and the sign was a bit worn, but the flowers at the entrance were blooming exuberantly.
It seed like soone replaces them every day.
"Ruyi Noodle House, quite interesting."
Gu Ningyue pushed open the black European-style iron gate and walked in.
Looking around, there weren’t many people inside, and it seed quite tranquil.
"Hello, is there anything you’d like to order?"
A woman in a blue robe appeared with a nu, looking more like a lady raised in a noble castle than a waitress.
Gu Ningyue was a bit surprised that even a noodle shop waitress had such elegance now.
"Could you recomnd sothing?" Gu Ningyue looked at the nu’s prices and wondered to herself, with such low prices, can they really afford the villa’s rent?
Even though it’s a bit out of the way, the decor here and utilities must cost quite a bit.
"What flavor do you like? Sour, sweet, or salty?"
"Huh? So many flavors?" Gu Ningyue was a bit surprised, "Sour, please! With a hint of sweetness."
The woman in the blue robe nodded, "Then the ’Wishes Co True Noodles’ should suit your taste. How about that?"
As she spoke, she flipped the nu to the back for Gu Ningyue.
Looking at the description, Gu Ningyue said, "I’ll have that! And so braised beef, please bring the beef first, I’m a bit hungry."
The woman in the blue robe nodded and took the nu away.
Gu Ningyue glanced around and suddenly found the place very interesting.
The decor was unlike a noodle shop, more like a ticulously decorated golden cage.
The lighting was slightly dim, and the waitresses wore unique attire.
The atmosphere was also tinged with an entangled amorousness, making it a unique store.
Credit to Lin Ruixian for finding such a place; it must have been tough for him.
When the braised beef arrived, Gu Ningyue casually asked, "Your location isn’t easy to find. How did you decide to open a store here?"
The woman in the blue robe looked at her and said, "This little villa is the owner’s private property. The landlady loved noodles, so our boss specially hired a chef to convert the place into a noodle shop."
To own such a villa in the center of City Y, the owner really must not lack money to open this shop.
"Quite the blessing," Gu Ningyue said with a smile.
The woman in the blue robe sighed, "Unfortunately, the landlady passed away due to complications three years after getting married, leaving behind two children."
Gu Ningyue had thought it was a harmonious love story, but the ending caught her unexpectedly, "I’m sorry, I didn’t know."
"Welco!" Just then, as two young people walked in, the woman in the blue robe shook her head, "If you need anything else, just call ."
Gu Ningyue nodded, watching the woman in the blue robe go to greet the incoming couple without saying more.
After who knows how long, when Gu Ningyue’s plate of beef was almost finished, Lin Ruixian finally appeared with his ’Wishes Co True’ noodles.
The aroma was enticing, and as soon as it was set before her, Gu Ningyue couldn’t help wanting to dig in.
It was the most appetizing bowl of noodles she had ever seen.
"You finally arrived, another minute and the braised beef would’ve disappeared entirely."
Gu Ningyue mixed the noodles, which were topped with many accompanints, plus a piece of ginseng underneath.
Who would have expected a twenty-one-dollar bowl of noodles to be so substantial?
"I was stuck in traffic, I couldn’t help it," Lin Ruixian said, the aroma making his stomach growl as well, "How is it? Tasty?"
Gu Ningyue blew on the noodles to cool them, took a bite, and was filled with satisfaction, "Delicious!"
The woman in the blue robe ca over to give Lin Ruixian a nu, and after he ordered, Gu Ningyue, while slurping her noodles, glanced at him, saying, "She wasn’t as enthusiastic with . I had to ask her for a recomndation."
As soon as she approached Lin Ruixian, the woman in the blue robe recomnded so signature dishes without him even having to ask.
It’s clear that being handso does have real perks in life.
Lin Ruixian was just opening his chopsticks to eat the braised beef and looked up when he heard this, saying, "If the staff here were n, they might have been just as enthusiastic with you."
Gu Ningyue thought about it and found that it was indeed the truth.
"The braised beef here is good. Let’s pack so to take ho!" Lin Ruixian said after tasting the beef, indicating satisfaction with the food here.
Gu Ningyue replied, "It won’t be fresh if we take it ho; it won’t taste as good. If you want, we can co back tonight. We don’t have anything else to do anyway."
"Alright, sounds good," Lin Ruixian agreed. "By the way, did you find what you were looking for?"
Gu Ningyue shook her head, "Don’t ntion it, I went through every cold weapon shop in City Y, and not one caught my eye. I still prefer mine."
If sothing new doesn’t surpass what you already have, what’s the point of getting it?
Just then, the woman in the blue robe brought over Lin Ruixian’s noodles, "Miss, are you looking to buy cold weapons?"
Gu Ningyue nodded slightly, "Yes! City Y is famous for weapons, and I didn’t want to leave empty-handed after finally coming here."
City Y had been renowned as a training ground for soldiers many years ago, and even today, it still harbors many skilled individuals.
So when Gu Ningyue gave this reason, the woman in the blue robe didn’t ask further. After all, many people who travel here share the sa idea: "If you go out and turn left, there’s a blacksmith who occasionally takes on miscellaneous tasks like this. His craftsmanship is quite good; you could check with him."
