Yan Wuxu also harbored countless resentnts, believing that in terms of appearance, she was no worse than Chang Chi or Su Ziceng. What she lacked was rely opportunity. If she, like Su Ziceng or Wen Maixue, had been born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she too would have had ample opportunities to et wealthy young n like Perohang Yi Shao. The more she thought about it, the more discontent she felt. Why was her luck so poor? First, she encountered a spoiled rich kid like Fei Qing who held no real power, and then there was an old fool like Su Qingzhang, with no children, no money, and her youth gone. Had she known, she would have chosen soone of a suitable age who held actual power.

"Shang Yin is not as easy to deal with as we imagined," Fei Qing grumbled. He had initially thought that knowing the supply channels would allow him to bring in the cigarettes, but he later realized that everything was much more complicated than he had imagined. Just getting the goods into the country was troubleso. If by land, it had to pass through many toll and inspection stations. By water, it was sowhat easier, but reliable ships were not guaranteed. Whenever Fei Qing thought about these issues, he felt a headache coming on, and he was not willing to think about such troubleso matters a second ti.

"If Shang Yin can do it, why can’t you..." Yan Wuxu’s words were cut off mid-sentence when suddenly her ears heated up, and she unconsciously touched them, the orange diamond earrings seemingly giving her so sensation.

If Chang Chi can do it, why can’t she? Shang Yin liked won, beautiful won at that. Shang Yin was wealthy, and he was capable. A man like him wouldn’t mind a woman’s marital history as long as she could keep him interested and excited. Yan Wuxu’s mood improved. She leaned over and kissed Fei Qing on the face—a crisp and loud kiss. "Ah Qing, you don’t need to worry about it; let handle the troubleso matters."

Su Ziceng and Hang Yishao had just returned to Mo City, and before they even left the airport, they saw Hang’s father waiting outside with Hang’s mother, both looking displeased.

Hang’s mother had a look of wanting to speak but stopping herself, suggesting that she had inadvertently let sothing slip.

"Uncle Hang," Su Ziceng called out with trepidation. Hang’s father responded coolly, saying to Hang Yishao, "There’s an urgent matter at the company, co back with now."

Hang Yishao glanced at Su Ziceng and then said, "Dad, I also have sothing to discuss with you. I’ve promised Ziceng that I would be a guarantor for the Su Family’s loan."

"Ziceng, I watched you grow up, and Uncle Hang has been pretty decent to you, is this how you incite my son?" Hang’s father said harshly.

"Dad, if you have sothing to say, say it to ," Hang Yishao stepped forward, positioning himself in front of Su Ziceng, not wanting her to continue being embarrassed.

"You good-for-nothing, look at what a fine son you’ve raised," Hang’s father burst out in anger, shouting at Hang’s mother.

Outside the airport, drivers in taxi cabs and departing travelers all turned their eyes towards where Su Ziceng and the others were.

Hang’s father was visibly angry, his face flushed with annoyance, while Hang’s mother tried incessantly to soothe the situation and mitigate the conflict between father and son. Su Ziceng felt both embarrassed and annoyed; she was very unsatisfied with Hang’s father’s sudden appearance and his hasty accusations. For a mont, she thought about walking away, but... she couldn’t just leave like that.

Before Hang Yishao spoke, he seed to have a premonition and grabbed her. Even though Hang’s father was furious, his grasp did not loosen at all, his hand continuously providing warmth.

"Dad," Hang Yishao didn’t care how the surrounding people looked at him, nor how Hang’s mother was pleading softly; he wanted to clear the air, to speak out everything he had learned over the past year that he had not been aware of before.

"From a young age, you taught many things, but you never taught how to love sobody. Ziceng is different; she taught how to love, and I... I love her deeply." Hang Yishao’s words stunned Su Ziceng, leaving Hang’s father and mother speechless.

"Yishao," Su Ziceng’s voice was barely audible.

"Don’t interrupt, let finish," Hang Yishao, fueled by the courage in his chest, didn’t turn back. "I love her, whether she was once Miss Su or now Su Ziceng, I love her, through poverty, sickness..." Hang Yishao’s words poured out almost like wedding vows.

Su Ziceng felt increasingly uneasy as she listened; she struggled to free herself from Hang Yishao’s grasp, feeling her earlobes buried under her hair getting as hot as a branding iron.
