"Go to France?" Sister Mu was startled by Su Ziceng, her tongue accidentally touching a piece of fish that hadn’t cooled, sending a numb sensation through her. "You’re not thinking of going to find Pello, are you?"
Pello’s sudden departure had surprised Sister Mu as much as it did Su Ziceng. Pello wasn’t the type to act unpredictably. Although Su Ziceng hadn’t spelled it out, Sister Mu could tell from the hesitant words and the suspicious shyness in her descriptions that the relationship between the two of them must have taken a step further.
After her lover was driven out of the house, the always gentle and tender Pello left without leaving any ssage after their intimate monts.
"Not to find Pello, I don’t even know where he is, looking for him would be like groping in the dark," Su Ziceng’s words made Sister Mu nod in satisfaction.
Compared to the Su Ziceng who just arrived at "Admiration" and would get flustered when there were slightly more custors, the current Su Ziceng had learned to assess the situation and no longer acted or spoke impulsively.
In these four years, Su Ziceng hadn’t just idly passed the ti; she and the Red Love necklace at her neck seed to complent each other even more, gradually shining with the brilliance of a diamond.
"Then what are you going there for?" Sister Mu felt a touch of sourness in her heart upon hearing the word France, as it had once been her own stage of glory.
"Do you rember Miss Bao Qin and Master Rang I told you about? The last ti I went to Europe, Miss Bao Qin told that she and Master Rang would have their wedding in July. She personally invited to attend. Now that I have been banished, even if the invitation was sent, I wouldn’t be able to receive it," Su Ziceng explained. In truth, she had her own motives; she said she wasn’t going to look for Pello, but since she was going to Europe anyhow, shouldn’t she take the opportunity to inquire about Pello’s whereabouts?
When Pello left, he didn’t say anything. It must have been because sothing had happened over in Europe. Su Ziceng recalled the ti in France when the police had co to inform them of Olson’s death; with that in mind, it was likely that Pello had gone to deal with so matters in Orleans.
"You don’t know the exact date of the wedding and you’re still planning to go just like that?" Sister Mu was actually supportive of Su Ziceng’s trip to Europe. After all, the Su Family had just gone through a major event. Su Ziceng didn’t seem to care much about being driven out of the house, but there must have been so resentnt in her heart. It wouldn’t be a bad thing to take a trip to clear her mind.
"I can contact Lin Ying, that model who worships you that I ntioned before. She entered the modeling circle with Miss Bao Qin’s recomndation, and the two of them have a private friendship. She has likely received an invitation too," Su Ziceng thought. In another half month or so, Lin Ying should also return to Z country. If both of them were to attend Miss Bao Qin’s wedding, they might be able to return to Z country together. And if she ca across Pello along the way, she could introduce them.
Su Ziceng was a typical action-taker. Once she made up her mind, she imdiately contacted Lin Ying. Sure enough, Lin Ying had received an invitation too. The wedding date for Miss Bao Qin and Master Rang was set for July 14th, France’s National Day. It’s said that many couples in France choose to get married on that day.
After seeing off Su Ziceng, Sister Mu was busying herself by asking the salesperson to tidy up the shop when the door to "Admiration" was forcefully pushed open and a woman barged in.
"Who are you?" Sister Mu looked at the young woman in front of her who seed a bit out of sorts. "Admiration" has seen many pitiable female custors, but this woman didn’t evoke feelings of pity.
Her complexion was very pale, as if long unexposed to the light, with red and swollen eyes, possibly from countless tearful nights. She was wearing a carefully chosen n’s jacket, which seed sowhat ill-fitting on her.
"Where is Su Ziceng?" Chang Chi caught a glimpse of herself in "Admiration’s" triple mirror, looking like a soulless ghost. She had been confined for a full two weeks, with Shang Yin seizing all her ans of communication, her wallet and cards, and even forbidding her to access newspapers and television to prevent her escape.
In response to Chang Chi’s incessant clamor, Shang Yin finally resorted to controlling her with dication, and in just a few weeks, Chang Chi’s ntal and physical health had collapsed.
Just when she thought she would die silently in Shang Yin’s mansion, she found a gap.
The servant bringing food and dicine told her that Shang Yin had gone to Europe to attend Pello and Wen Maixue’s engagent ceremony. She first begged the servant, who gave her a newspaper. The newspaper that reported Chang i’s imprisonnt also published a report about Su Ziceng and Su Qingzhang’s estrangent.
