Pello was still considering Olson’s words, but Su Ziceng had no desire to delve into the deeper aning behind them anymore.

"What do you an?" Su Ziceng also stood up and walked to a position level with Olson.

Just like everyone in the Mussen family, Olson had a tall stature. Although he was elderly and his back slightly stooped, when standing with Su Ziceng, purely in terms of aura, he was still many tis stronger than Su Ziceng.

"What I an is, anything that cos into my hands, or onto my dining plate, I do not leave even a trace," on the table, in Olson’s plate indeed, not a single scrap of food was left; Olson had a good appetite, even at his age he was still the sa.

The breeze from the lake blew by, Olson shivered, but Su Ziceng next to him fell into a mont of silence, her gaze landing on a solitary swan.

The swan, having rested enough, spread its wings, and the white wings flapped in the air, as it sang out loud.

Su Ziceng felt that her mont of silence was like the swan’s brief rest, she shook her voice,"Eating too much can lead to trouble, Mr. Olson, you do not understand Asia, you don’t understand Z country."

"Miss Su, you are wrong, I, Olson, do not engage in matters I am not sure of. For the Asian market, my investnt advisors listed no less than a hundred projects, and among these projects, the one I am most optimistic about is the market in Z country," Olson would not allow anyone to challenge his authority, not even his own son, Orleans.

"I am not questioning the professionalism of your investnt advisors, nor doubting your unique insight, what I an is that you still do not understand the people of Z country," Su Ziceng said casually, moving her hands inside her clothes.

"I just need to understand the market, why should I know about the people of Z country?" Olson thought to himself, I am only here to invest and make money, not to find a wife. His understanding of Z country first ca through Tina.

Olson is not one to speak truths, people who have struggled in business spheres and aristocratic circles seldom do.

But most of what he said just now was true. He felt there was no need to lie in front of soone about to die.

Olson was an extrely narrow-minded person; he loved beautiful things. Mussen’s Blessing, beautiful diamonds, Olson Manor, all these were his favorites. He was stingy in not wanting to share any of these with others.

Those who hinder his acquisition of beautiful things, or who want to skim off his possessions, must die.

"If you do not understand the people, how can you understand their preferences, how can you successfully extract money from their pockets, all of this, I can serve you," Su Ziceng said playfully, and after she finished, she burst into laughter.

Her eyes still floated with snowflakes, but her lively and attractive deanor still infected Olson.

Olson had a mont of trance, he felt as if a snowflake-like fairy appeared in front of him, Olson reached out his hand, trying to grasp the woman who had a lodious laugh, just like Tina.

A pair of hands reacted more swiftly, Pello pulled Su Ziceng back. "Standing by the lake, do not flounce about," Pello said in a low voice, his eyes carrying a warning.

This remark caused Su Ziceng to stick out his tongue, while Olson was suddenly sobered. He felt a pang of regret, pity that this woman had to disappear along with him. Fortunately, he had already secured a beauty from the East, which was enough for him.

"Miss Su’s words have made quite hesitant. Perhaps I need to consider this matter more carefully. Thank you for accompanying all the way to this lakeside without complaint. If it weren’t for your company, I really wouldn’t have had the courage to make this trip around the lake again, right, Mr. Lan?" Olson stepped out of the pavilion and stood on the dock for a while longer.

All three fell into silence. In the ti they spoke, the wind and snow had picked up again. The sky was overcast, a stark contrast to the snow light with leaden clouds rolling in from the other end of the lake.

"We should head back, a change in the weather is coming," Pello said, looking at the clouds and feeling a tightness in his chest. He drew Su Ziceng close to his side, as the snow intensified to the point of making people squint and dodge.

"Mr. Lan is very familiar with the weather in this area," Olson’s laughter was carried over, sounding like an old, malfunctioning windshield wiper scraping soone’s eardrums.

Pello did not speak again; he turned around and secured Su Ziceng’s coat collar and hat, whispering, "Hold tight to my hand, you must follow my every step."

In such snow and wind, the cable car would beco a dangerous basket. Taking the cable car back was out of the question, the only option was to walk back. Having experienced the harsh snowstorms of the Alps, Pello knew all too well that the return journey was going to be a thousand tis more difficult than the journey here.

The snow squinted people’s eyes, and Su Ziceng’s hat rim wasn’t pressed down too low, her barely exposed nose could feel her snot freezing inside her nostrils. With her eyes rendered useless and unable to see the road ahead, she could only cling tightly to Pello.

Pello wasn’t having an easy ti either. With each step he took, he hesitated; the earlier cedar forest had turned into a total snow forest. With each step, he wasn’t sure whether he stepped on rotten pine needles or unstable snow, each step reaching above his thigh.

While walking, he still had to hold onto Su Ziceng’s sliding body. She was much shorter than Pello, and the snow had reached her waist.

"Damn," Pello cursed. He shouldn’t have allowed Su Ziceng to walk out with him. There was sothing off about Olson from the start when he brought out the wine and talked about "the past," Pello should have noticed it then.

Olson, walking ahead alone, was much more relaxed than the two of them. His footwear was equipped with anti-slip snow nails, able to firmly fix themselves in the loose snow like suction cups.

"You guys doing okay?" Olson stopped, his voice echoing through the cedar forest, startling so snow-shunning birds.

"We’re okay," Pello gritted his teeth and lifted Su Ziceng up entirely, "Hold tight, don’t move."

"It’s getting a bit tough on my side," The blizzard seed to lessen a bit, and they finally left the cedar forest. Pello’s line of sight broadened after leaving the trees.

He saw Olson standing about twenty ters away, his hand holding a small handgun, its dark muzzle pointed directly at Pello and Su Ziceng.

"My dear nephew, seeing you just worsens my condition," Olson took off his hat and threw it onto the snowy ground. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welco to visit Qidian to cast your recomndation and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
