In the nursery, Yang Wuxu spoke to Fei Qing in the softest voice about the matter Su Qingzhang announced today.

"Is that so? Are you sure?" Fei Qing was indeed surprised after hearing this. Su Qingzhang had actually decided to join forces with the Wen family. Originally, the Fei Family had decided to nominate the council center as Mo City’s star project to be submitted to the State Council. If the Su Family’s project were also submitted, it would undoubtedly diminish the impact.

"He ca back in a great mood tonight. He must have had a good talk with the Wen family," Yang Wuxu walked to the door, opened a crack, and stealthily looked across to the opposite room. In that room, Su Qingzhang was holding a baby in his arms, amusing the baby with a toy, beaming with joy.

She sneered. Su Qingzhang was always a calculating man, overly shrewd in his daily life. Little did he know that this ti he had fallen into her trap without the slightest awareness.

"I’ll discuss it with my father later; we can’t let the Su Family easily succeed with this project," Fei Qing thought. Given Mr. Fei’s current position, he could hold sway in the city. It wouldn’t be easy for Su Qingzhang to build the tallest building. There are departnts like planning, urban construction, and the land bureau that need to be dealt with beforehand, and any obstacle posed at any point could be enough for him to suffer a major setback.

"Stop referring to ’dad’ all the ti; it’s irritating," Yang Wuxu reprimanded. She used to think Fei Qing was sowhat intelligent when she first t him. Now it seems he’s spent all his energy on won, leaving none for serious matters.

"Hey, don’t say that; didn’t I handle that matter?" Fei Qing boasted. A few days ago, at Yang Wuxu’s request, he had soone teach a lesson to soone from the Sixth District who had bullied her before, and he was quite swift in his actions.

"Hmm," Yang Wuxu rembered the drunk that had greatly embarrassed her and smiled with satisfaction, "Then go on and show so spirit. Both mother and son will be counting on you in the future." The n on both ends of the phone needed her sweet words; they were her most important ’babies’ now.

After hanging up the phone, Yang Wuxu continued standing in the nursery for a while. She had personally arranged this nursery with carefully chosen beds and toys.

The soft mattress, easily accessible imported toys, and colorful wallpaper—everything was prepared for her child. The room had been decorated for quite so ti, but she had no intention of letting the baby, pretend to be her "son," stay here.

One night, Yang Wuxu was awakened by the baby’s crying. Before she could sit up and scold, the "nanny" sleeping on the floor promptly got up. Comforted by her, the baby quickly quieted down.

Watching the baby greedily suckling the milk, Yang Wuxu’s eyes couldn’t move away. They were the real mother and son. The baby who supposedly inherited the "nanny’s" blood always cried incessantly when held by Yang Wuxu.

That night, after Yang Wuxu fell asleep, her hand curled into the posture of holding a baby. She silently humd a lullaby in her heart. The baby boy now hidden deep in the mountains, when he cries, is there soone to soothe him? When he’s hungry, is there soone to feed him?

There was a knock on the door, interrupting Yang Wuxu’s thoughts. She opened the door and walked towards Su Qingzhang, saying, "Look at you father and son. Co here, let mommy hold you."

By the end of June, Su Ziceng had completed all her graduation requisites. During this period, she also attended the signing ceremony for the cooperative project between Su and Wen Families—Golden Coast.

Under Mr. Fei’s intervention, the Su Family didn’t get the originally targeted plot of land in Zone 3. However, Su Qingzhang was not disheartened; he quickly relocated the building site to a vacant plot near the coast. After geological surveys, it was confird that the bedrock and strata t the requirents for constructing a building of more than sixty floors.

The land by the sea was sowhat special. According to the policies of Country Z, its approval authority did not belong to the governnt of Mo City but was directly governed by the provincial construction office.

Su Qingzhang precisely targeted this point, bypassing the human obstacles set up by the Fei Family. When the signed approval docunts arrived, Mr. Fei, who was in a eting, changed his expression on the spot.

At the signing ceremony, Wen Maixue represented the Wen Family and cheerfully stood together with Su Qingzhang who led the Su Family mbers.

At the subsequent reception, Su Ziceng deliberately invited three others from the Su Family who also graduated from Kelly Won’s College: Su Ziceng, Yan Wuxu, and Chang i, to take a group photo. From her deanor, it was impossible to tell that Su Ziceng had any previous grievances with them.

After the photo, Su Ziceng, as the host, was entertaining the guests around when Yishao approached.

Normally, such a reception should have been attended by Hang’s father, but with Su Fei families currently in a tense situation, Hang’s father, wanting to take both families’ feelings into account, sent Yishao to attend instead.

Yishao was eager for more opportunities to interact with Su Ziceng, but just as he entered, he saw a very unpleasant face.

"Why is he here?" Yishao couldn’t have anticipated encountering Pello here, especially since he was attending in the capacity of the Su Family’s finance manager.

"Dad hired him, Pello is very skilled in finance, and it was also his suggestion to undertake the Golden Coast project," Su Ziceng greeted the people present, as her father had specifically asked her to stay by Yishao’s side.

"He’s not just good at finance," pointed Yishao, nodding towards Mai Xue who was intimately chatting with Pello nearby. To be able to bind the never-converging Su and Wen families together, Pello possessed more than just simple financial knowledge.

Su Ziceng also saw this scene; since she had entered, she saw Mai Xue and Pello walking together several tis, which gave her a feeling of suffocation.

"You look a bit pale, want to go outside for a walk?" The reception was initiated by Yan Wuxu, and it was held at the renovated Su Mansion.

"That sounds good," Su Ziceng ascribed her strange feeling to the indoor air being too stuffy, thinking a walk outside for so fresh air would be beneficial.

Upon exiting, the temperature difference between indoors and outdoors was quite significant, causing Su Ziceng’s bare shoulders to unconsciously shrink. Yishao quickly took off his coat and draped it over her. Su Ziceng nodded, and the two of them left the banquet hall together.

The conversation between Pello, who was chatting, and Mai Xue abruptly paused, and Pello quickly glanced towards the garden.

Mai Xue also noticed his brief pause, "Pello, I’ve already spoken with Orleans."

Pello reluctantly withdrew his gaze, "Really? Is he also interested in the franchise rights for ZARA?" (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, welco to visit Qidian (qidian) to cast your recomndation ticket and monthly ticket, your support is my greatest motivation.)
