Hang Yishao felt as if he had been slapped in the face, his cheeks flushed as he sat down.

The waiter hurriedly brought over the nu, and the red wine selected by Pello earlier had already been served. "Open another one," Hang Yishao spotted the 1943 vintage on the wine bottle, raised an eyebrow, it seed that this teacher from Kelly Won’s College was quite generous. In that case, let’s add more flavor to the occasion.

"One bottle is enough," Su Ziceng mildly protested, drinking was just for enhancent of mood, opening two bottles of Lafite Wine, this al was going to cost a fortune.

"I don’t like sharing a bottle of wine with others," Hang Yishao said with an implied aning.

Pello shrugged his shoulders, unlike slow dining restaurants, the food was served quickly. The two parties sat together, without any sweetness to speak of. Su Ziceng only felt that the lamb chops in her mouth were getting tougher the more she ate, and even the so-called top-quality Lafite tasted sour. Hang Yishao didn’t even touch the bottle opened by Pello, just sipped from his own, glancing warily between Su Ziceng and Pello.

"Ziceng, the food here doesn’t seem to match up to that slow dining restaurant in Paris, the lamb chops are too tough," Hang Yishao emphasized the word "tough."

Pello lightly flipped over the lamb chop on his plate with a fork, contemplating whether to demonstrate the tender quality of the "lamb chop" didn’t match the word "tough".

"Did you et in Paris?" Before Pello’s facial expression could be closely observed, Chang Chi interjected, scrutinizing Su Ziceng suspiciously.

In a big city like Paris, unless they had arranged beforehand, the chance of bumping into each other was as likely as the Earth getting hit by a minor asteroid.

"We t by chance," Su Ziceng replied, it was indeed just a chance encounter, although so coincidental that even she would think it was arranged with Hang Yishao. Only the slight clinking of utensils was heard at the table, perhaps too subdued, Hang Yishao found another topic.

Equally a headache-inducing topic, "I heard that Kelly Won’s College is about to be rged with Daoquan University, I wonder which college Teacher Pello will be assigned to?" As far as Hang Yishao knew, all the colleges under Daoquan University were formal institutions, and a teacher like Pello, who only taught "decorative subjects", would be best suited to freeload at the art college.

"I can teach Spanish or German," Pello did not ntion his native French, but casually picked two minor languages, evasively saying, "Or even psychology, I hold master’s degrees in psychology and economics from Edinburgh University and London University."

Hang Yishao’s cutlery paused, and beads of sweat ford on his forehead. He was too lazy to even brush them off, the lamb chop on his plate transford into Pello’s smug face, provoking him to want to stab it furiously.

Chang Chi was astounded, she had thought just like Hang Yishao that Pello was all looks and no substance.

"You also know German and Spanish? I’ve never heard you ntion it," Su Ziceng also found it strange.

Already displeased, Hang Yishao heard Su Ziceng speak to Pello in a very familiar tone, he imdiately set his cutlery down heavily, nearly chipping the plate.

"Unfortunately, Daoquan University is not renowned for languages and psychology, it looks like Teacher Pello won’t have a place to display his talents this ti," Hang Yishao erupted again.

Su Ziceng glanced into his plate, really thought he was eating gunpowder tonight, his mouth full of the taste of smoke.

"I have no intention of staying at Daoquan University," Pello no longer looked directly at Hang Yishao, parrying the conversation smoothly.

"You’re leaving Kelly?" Hearing about Pello’s departure, Su Ziceng felt a bit panicked, naturally, it made sense, being a Frenchman, if his contract with Kelly ended, why would he stay in Mo City.

To disguise her current unease, Su Ziceng picked up her wine glass and took a random sip. She couldn’t tell the taste of the drink anymore.

1943’s Lafite, really not that great. Poor top-quality Lafite, in the mouths of several tasteless people, could only silently weep, fortunately, there was still one person who truly understood wine.

Pello gently swirled his wine glass, his fingers languidly wrapped around the glass, making his fingers appear even more slender; the ringless fingers, however, remained conspicuously annoying. Hang Yishao secretly seethed, and the ribs on his belly started to ache again.

"Ziceng, didn’t you ntion to before that you wanted to live in Paris after you graduate, we could return to France together," Pello was undoubtedly soone who thrived in chaos, he used the word "return" perfectly, as though Su Ziceng in Mo City was just returning to her mother’s house, the past twenty years just a short stay, and France her rightful ho.

The two had indeed discussed this topic over the phone before. Su Ziceng hadn’t expected Pello to suddenly bring it up, Chang Chi also noticed sothing unusual between Su Ziceng and Pello, could it be that these two already... Chang Chi couldn’t hide the shock on her face, but soon, ecstasy overtook the shock.

"No, I disagree." Hang Yishao stood up abruptly, speaking out loudly, in the quiet restaurant, all the guests’ attention was drawn.

Hang Yishao stood, his chest heaving intensely with agitation, his eyes unmistakably filled with panic. (To be continued. If you like this work, we invite you to Daoquan (qidian) to cast recomndation and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
