The conversation was getting difficult, and Su Ziceng simply turned her head away, staring at the car door handle that was pulled open 60 degrees. Finally, she let go of the handle.
Perhaps she was the most selfish one, or maybe, the love between Yang Wuxu and Su Qing Chang was the real deal. What did it matter if they were thirty years apart? In Su Qing Chang’s life, there might never be another woman as passionate as Yang Wuxu.
The air was filled with the sll of gunpowder from the fireworks, possibly red, possibly green, but whatever the color, it was pungent and inescapable.
"When I first heard the news, I was curious why you didn’t choose ," Pello’s words carried a sense of loneliness, causing Su Ziceng to look up. He gestured towards the man peeking outside the barbecue restaurant, using his back to shield Su Ziceng.
The gunpowder smoke from a mont ago had dissipated, and Su Ziceng couldn’t help but have mixed feelings of laughter and tears. So that’s why he was so sharp just now.
"Because you are grass on the edge of the nest that even Wen Maixue covets, the kind of grass that will break your heart if eaten carelessly, and cause internal damage," Yang Wuxu walked in haste, but had enough ti to coax out all of Su Ziceng’s thoughts.
"Moreover, I know myself well; I am a capricious person," Su Ziceng sighed, hastily making up excuses under Pello’s gaze.
"I am very tolerant," echoed Pello’s words in her ears.
"I can’t cook," this poor excuse, however, is one of the criteria many n look for in a wife.
"I happen to be good at cooking," Pello replied lightheartedly.
"I won’t be filial to my in-laws," this, surely, is scary enough, right?
"My parents passed away over a decade ago," there was no sorrow or sentintality in Pello’s tone, just simply stating a fact.
At the bottom of Su Ziceng’s heart, ripples began to form. Such a man was safe to bring ho to et her mother and sister, even the picky Chang’s mother and daughter could not find fault with him.
The words she said carelessly were all blocked by him, his responses like a dense net, and Su Ziceng beca a bird trapped underneath it, unable to break free.
After finishing speaking, Pello extended his hand. A handshake between n and won, to so extent, symbolizes the establishnt of a romantic relationship, especially between n and won. After this ti, Su Ziceng would rember. According to Fei Lin’s "Marriage Feng Shui," if soone reaches out their hand towards you and then makes a pulling motion, the person being pulled has an M tendency, and the person pulling back has an S tendency.
Pulling closer bit by bit until Su Ziceng’s hand was firmly held in Pello’s. Su Ziceng had never noticed an M tendency in herself, but in those strong hands, she was pulled along, an event of holding hands on March 14th, White Day.
One mont Pello was the gentlemanly figure, the next his palm emitted a scorching heat. After a full minute, he finally let go of her hand, adjusted the coat for Su Ziceng, casually brought her hand into his pocket, "Rember not to neglect this good plant next ti, I am your teacher, you still have much to learn from ." The rest can be slowly gotten acquainted with later, a warmth she hasn’t felt in a long ti. If rebirth ans doing everything all over again, she might as well give it a try.
The night of March 14th carried so deep anings. After Pello escorted Su Ziceng back ho, he encountered Wen Maixue.
"I heard you booked a flight to the United States?" Wen Maixue felt inexplicably panicked when she first got the news from Shang Yin. Pello was different from Shang Yin, he was like a floating weed, who might vanish in a misty mont.
"That’s a thank-you gift for Yang Wuxu," the little agreent between Pello and Yang Wuxu had already been set in "Admiration." The mont he saw those eyes, he knew that Su Qing was destined to beco a moth that flies into the net. As for Fei Qing, the passerby who appeared halfway, and Su Ziceng who seed to unintentionally break into the ga, they were just extra seasoning added to the appetizer Pello was cooking.
The na Yang Wuxu made Wen Maixue think back a little and she rembered. That female student who got into Kelly Won’s College on a scholarship, the student walking by Su Ziceng’s side, had eyes filled with desire and a slender figure. She didn’t see that student as a rival. In Wen Mai Xue’s eyes, no woman can compare to her; the girl who once hid in her radiance had disappeared. The girl was gone forever the mont Pello lifted the black cloth from her eyes and presented her with the green brooch.
