"So that’s how it is," Camilla murmured with a slow nod.

"If even the Queen’s husband could be from San Francisco, no wonder they call Country E the second San Francisco."

Her fingers twitched slightly as she continued reading.

The eldest son, Prince Allen, was the lawful first heir to Country E’s throne—until tragedy struck over a decade ago, when his plane to San Francisco crashed.

A plane to San Francisco.

Camilla’s gaze lingered on those words, an inexplicable unease stirring in her chest.

Could these people kidnapping Grandpa have sothing to do with the late Prince Allen?

Beyond that, she couldn’t imagine any other connection between her grandfather and the royal family of Country E.

She glanced at Sinclair, pushing the thought aside before reading on.

After Prince Allen’s death, the title of first heir naturally passed to Princess Luna, the eldest daughter.

The birthday banquet’s guest of honor, Lady Kiara, was Princess Luna’s only child and the second in line to the throne.

And Nolan the Nolan family head they’d t at the charity gala, happened to be Lady Kiara’s fiancé.

"Sweetheart," Camilla finished reviewing the royal family’s docunts and, after a mont of contemplation, turned to Sinclair.

"Since the Nolan family secretly sent forces to San Francisco behind the royal family’s back, it ans they’re not exactly on the sa page regarding Grandpa’s situation," she said, pausing briefly.

"Perhaps we can start with the Nolan family."

"Smart," Sinclair replied softly, his dark eyes glinting with irony as he gazed into the distance.

"The Nolan family and the royal family aren’t aligned on more than just this matter."

Due to the arranged marriage, Luna and the Aiston family had exploited the Nolan family for nurous business advantages.

The previous head of the Nolan family—Nolan Junior father—had been desperate to climb the royal ladder, bending over backward to accommodate their every demand.

The Aiston family behind Mr. Aiston Easton had originally been in decline, but they managed to regain their footing in the business world precisely because of this arrangent.

In recent years, with the Queen of Eland in poor health, many royal affairs—both internal and external—had been delegated to Crown Princess Luna for managent.

Luna and the Aiston family grew even more audacious, attempting to ddle in the Nolan Corporation’s internal affairs.

Nolan Junior, however, was a man of steel. His approach to the royal family was entirely different from his father’s—he only t their demands when it didn’t compromise the Nolan family’s own interests.

This had earned him the Crown Princess’s deep displeasure.

"If we really have to confront that Crown Princess, the Nolan family could indeed make a valuable ally."

Camilla nodded, her brows knitting together in a frown.

"That may be true, but when it cos to the royal family, the Nolan’s won’t agree so easily."

The Zion wouldn’t just agree—they’d likely co knocking on their own accord.

That man wasn’t the type to let others push him around.

Sinclair watched Camilla’s serious expression, his heart softening. His gaze held a tender warmth as he looked at her.

"Camilla," Sinclair leaned back in his chair, his long legs stretched out casually on either side.

"Co sit with ."

His posture was languid and effortlessly elegant, exuding a hint of rakish charm. Camilla’s heart lted at the sight of her husband.

Setting aside her thoughts, she obediently rose and walked over.

Sinclair pulled her into his lap, his handso face wearing a faint smile.

"Sweetheart, you just focus on taking care of yourself," Sinclair leaned in, his nose brushing against hers, his voice deep and velvety.

"Leave everything else to ."

The warmth from the man’s body seeped through the fabric, carrying a comforting scent that enveloped her.

Camilla understood.

Sinclair was worried she’d overthink things—that it might harm both her and their unborn child.

"Don’t worry," she murmured softly.

"I will."

Sinclair’s dark eyes deepened as his long, elegant fingers tangled in Camilla’s thick, cascading hair.

Sinclair tilted his head, drawing closer to her.

Through the swaying white roses, their silhouettes blurred into one—a tender embrace beneath the whispering breeze. ——

anwhile, at Nolan Corporation.

"President Nolan."

A young man with a scarred eyebrow handed over a docunt.

"This is the complete guest list for Princess Kiara’s birthday banquet."

"Just as I thought."

Nolan’s gaze locked onto the nas *Sinclair Luther* and *Camilla Luther* before he set the list aside.

"My suspicions were correct."

His eyes narrowed slowly, dark and inscrutable.

Since Luna and Aiston shared the sa suspicions, it was highly likely that Mrs. Luther was indeed connected to the forr crown prince.

"Mr. Nolan" the young man with the broken eyebrow frowned, his voice lowering gravely.

"Now that the Grand Princess has taken notice of Mrs. Luther, she’ll undoubtedly investigate her identity.

Should we wait until her background is confird before making our move, or—?"

"You don’t understand Luna at all," Nolan cut in coldly, his gaze sharp with faint disappointnt.

Nolan narrowed his eyes slightly, a dangerous glint flashing within.

"Tomorrow’s birthday banquet is nothing but a trap set for Mrs.Luther.

If she really is tied to the forr crown prince, Luna won’t let her walk out of that hotel alive."

His voice turned icy. "By then, it’ll be too late."

If that happened, he and the Nolan family would be forever shackled to Luna’s side, forced to watch as she slowly consud them.

That was not an outco he would tolerate.

The young man with the broken eyebrow paled, realizing his boss was right. His expression hardened, and he fell silent, not daring to speak further.

A cold shadow flickered in Nolan’s eyes. "I must act before Luna does to verify this Mrs. Luther’s identity." The scarred-brow man gave a firm nod. "I’ll dispatch soone to get close to Madam Fu and obtain her test samples imdiately." "Do you really think Luna and Easton haven’t considered that?" Nolan’s brows knitted tightly as he let out a derisive chuckle, his piercing gaze fixed on the young man.

"If it were that simple, why would they go through all the trouble of throwing a birthday banquet?"

The young man’s eyes flickered with realization before he quickly lowered his head.

"My apologies for my foolishness."

"You *are* foolish—but at least you’re loyal." Nolan withdrew his gaze, his voice icy and tense.

"Sinclair isn’t soone to be trifled with.

Rather than risking failure with underhanded tactics, it’s better to approach this openly—through cooperation."

"Cooperation?"

The young man’s head snapped up in shock.

"You an... forming an alliance with the Luther Family to break off your engagent with Princess Kiara?"

"Exactly," Nolan took a deep drag from his cigarette and exhaled slowly, a cold, inscrutable smile playing at the corners of his lips.

"If that Mrs. Luther is indeed the descendant of the forr crown prince, their purpose in coming to Country E must be to infiltrate the royal family and reclaim their identity.

And what I want... is for her to find exactly that." His eyes narrowed into slits. "Since our paths ultimately lead to the sa destination, cooperation is certainly possible."

The young man with the broken brow frowned deeply, recalling their previous investigation into Sinclair.

"But Sinclair is ruthless and cunning—he’ll stop at nothing to achieve his goals.

The incident with the ga family is proof enough.

Partnering with him..."

Before he could finish, Nolan cut him off with an air of finality.

"I know what concerns you.

Don’t worry—I have it under control."

His voice was icy, leaving no room for argunt.

"Go personally to Sinclair’s estate in the suburbs and bring him here."

Nolan paused, his gaze sharpening with warning.

"Rember—be discreet.

Don’t let anyone notice you."

"Understood."

Seeing that Nolan’s mind was made up, the young man with the broken brow said nothing more.

He nodded and left without another word.
