"Mr. Luther,"

The silver-haired specialist stepped forward as the representative after consultation, looking at Sinclair and Camilla before speaking.

"According to the follow-up examination reports, Mrs. Luther’s condition is stable aside from the lingering weakness caused by past injuries," he said, adjusting his reading glasses under the collective gaze of the other specialists.

"In such cases," he continued, "she is perfectly fit to be discharged and recuperate at ho."

"Indeed, ho care would allow for more attentive recovery," another expert chid in.

"And Mrs. Luther’s mood would likely improve as well," added a third.

The rest of the specialists nodded in agreent.

Having such an influential figure lingering in the hospital day after day had left them walking on eggshells, their workdays fraught with unease.

Sinclair’s hands remained occupied, but his dark, narrow eyes lifted slowly to et Camilla’s gaze.

"What do you think, Camilla?"

His voice was warm, laced with indulgent affection, making it clear the decision was entirely hers.

Understanding his implication, the specialists all turned their expectant eyes toward Camilla.

"Well," Camilla swallowed the bite of fruit in her mouth, her eyes crinkling into a smile under their hopeful stares.

"I think staying in the hospital for recovery is better. I’m not quite ready to leave yet."

As a doctor who had worked in hospitals, she knew all too well the headaches physicians faced—those patients they had to handle with attention, no matter how difficult they were.

Never did she imagine that one day, she would beco one of those patients herself.

But there was no choice.

She couldn’t leave just yet.

The specialists exchanged uneasy glances.

"Fine."

Sinclair agreed without hesitation.

Sinclair turned his head slightly, the faintest smirk playing on his lips, though his deep, cool voice carried little warmth.

"Gentlen, I trust you heard her clearly?"

The sound of their hopes shattering—how could they *not* hear it?

The specialists nodded solemnly, their silence the last vestige of their defiance.

No one noticed the square-faced doctor in the crowd quietly exhaling in relief.

"In that case, we’ll take our leave for now," the senior specialist said heavily, breaking the tense silence.

"Rest well, Mrs. Luther. We’ll return tomorrow."

"Mhm."

Sinclair withdrew his gaze, his strikingly handso face and an impassive mask.

So people were born to command—no matter how they carried themselves, it only seed natural, leaving no room for dissent.

In contrast, Camilla curved her lips into a warm, genuine smile at the group.

"Thank you all for your trouble."

"No trouble at all, no trouble," the specialists replied, visibly flattered as they nodded to the couple before filing out one by one.

The once-crowded hospital room suddenly felt vast and quiet, leaving only Sinclair and Camilla behind.

"Sweetheart, I can’t finish this," Camilla murmured softly, holding out the half-eaten slice of apple to his lips.

"Help ?"

"Of course," Sinclair replied, a faint smirk playing at the corner of his mouth.

With practice ease, he leaned in and took the remaining bite from her fingers, as though this was a ritual they had shared countless tis before.

Happiness swelled in Camilla’s chest, spilling over into the crinkle of her eyes as she suddenly leaned in, pressing a quick kiss to his firm lips.

"Sweet?" she whispered.

"What does ’Camilla’ an?"

Sinclair arched an eyebrow, his deep magnetic voice laced with subtle amusent.

Camilla gazed into his eyes, her beautiful lashes fluttering as she narrowed them slightly.

"What do you think, sweetheart?"

Her tone lifted playfully, carrying a hint of coquetry.

"It’s all sweet,"

Sinclair murmured, his lips curling into a faint smile, his voice low and slightly hoarse.

"But you’re sweeter, Camilla."

His dark, narrowed eyes glinted with undisguised aning as they lingered on her tempting lips, so close he could almost taste them again.

"Though I haven’t had nearly enough."

"Oh?

Then have another taste," Camilla replied, her heart lting at her husband’s words.

She cupped his face gently, leaning in closer.

The curve of Sinclair’s lips deepened, his striking features alight with love so palpable it seed to fill the air around them.

The mont was tender, the atmosphere thick with affection—until an abrupt voice shattered the intimacy.

"Mr. Luther, the person is already—"

Ramsey froze mid-step as he took in the scene before him, panic flashing in his eyes. Oh no.

Ti to make a quick exit! Ramsey quickly schooled his expression, lowering his head as he turned to leave.

The two people behind him hadn’t expected him to stop abruptly.

Unable to halt their steps in ti, they bumped straight into his back.

Ramsey, who had been about to walk away but was now shoved forward by the impact: "..." So that fortune-teller outside the hospital was right—his ominous aura really did foretell impending doom.

Ramsey should’ve coughed up the cash for that protective charm!

Camilla wasn’t used to public displays of affection.

The mont Ramsey and the others barged in, she panicked, instinctively turning her face away and burying it against Sinclair’s neck.

Sinclair held her with one arm, his dark eyes glinting with icy displeasure as he turned toward Ramsey at the door.

"Did you forget all your manners?

Since when do you enter without knocking?"

"My apologies, President Luther," Ramsey said, bowing his head while silently cursing.

Which idiot left the damn door open?

Now he’d walked right into the line of fire without thinking!

The white-coated doctor and nurse behind him also lowered their heads in unison.

Camilla exhaled against Sinclair’s neck, steadying herself.

What was there to be nervous about?

She was kissing her own husband, not so stranger.

After a mont of ntal preparation, she lifted her head with forced nonchalance, pretending nothing had happened.

"Are they here?" Her words shattered the suffocating silence that had settled over the hospital room.

"Yes, yes, they’re here," Ramsey exhaled in relief, nodding eagerly.

The lady was like a godsend—a fire extinguisher in the nick of ti!

Behind Ramsey, a man and a woman in white coats and nurse uniforms stepped forward, bowing respectfully.

"President Luther, Madam." Camilla’s clear eyes studied the two figures, their builds strikingly similar to hers and Sinclair’s.

A spark of fascination flickered in her gaze.

"Take off your coats and masks. Let see."

"Yes."

With practiced efficiency, they removed their masks and shed their uniforms.

Now it was unmistakable—the clothes they wore underneath were identical to those of Sinclair and Camilla.

Not only were their builds a close match, but their faces, skillfully enhanced with makeup, bore a roughly seventy percent resemblance.

Their original features were completely obscured.

Even Camilla, seeing them up close, felt as though she were looking at herself and Sinclair from a third-person perspective.

Her eyes lit up with approval.

She had always known about the existence of body doubles, but even after living two lifetis, this was her first ti seeing one in the flesh.

"Impressive, truly impressive."

Sinclair’s deep, calm eyes remained fixed on Camilla’s fascinated expression, the corners of his thin lips curling upward in quiet amusent.

Ramsey felt the oppressive weight on his shoulders suddenly lift.

"Sweetheart."

Camilla finally tore her gaze away from the pair and turned to Sinclair.

"With them here, we can go see Stephen now."

Sinclair gave a slight nod.

Soon after, Ramsey led the doctor and nurse who had just entered back out of the ward.

The ga family’s spies stationed in the hospital noticed nothing amiss.

All their attention remained fixed on the room inside.
