“We… we just wanted food,” the man lied.
“Bullshit.” Yun Xiaoxiao’s glare sharpened. “You have ulterior motives. Talk. Who sent you?”
Faced with her interrogation, the man lowered his head, refusing to speak.
“Not talking?” She raised Lord Slasher slightly. “Then don’t bla for being ruthless.”
Seeing her fury, the man finally cracked. “It was the R Nation military! They promised us food if we breached your defenses with zombies. Once you fell, they planned to invade and take your land and supplies!”
“R Nation?” Yun Xiaoxiao’s frown deepened.
So they were behind this.
“This apocalypse war just got more complicated,” Shen Yan muttered grimly.
“Whatever it takes, we can’t let them succeed,” Tang Yanchi declared.
“Agreed,” Long Zhe added. “Let’s take these guys back first, then figure out how to deal with R Nation’s military.”
Yun Xiaoxiao gave a firm nod, and the four swiftly bound the captives before hauling them away.
By the next afternoon, the battle finally ended as the last zombie collapsed.
