Chapter 914: Chapter 915 Little Bean Bun
Chiang Xiao raised the book in her hand, “I’ve found a book that I want to borrow from Brother He for a few days.”
“Just take it with you!” Wu Xiayue didn’t even glance at the book, “No need to tell him, I can make the decision.”
Before her words had ended, He Jin’s voice sounded from inside.
“Is that Xiao Chiang? Wu Xiayue, you’ve got so nerve! Xiao Chiang is here to visit the sick, and you dare to stop her!”
Wu Xiayue puckered her lips. She whispered to Chiang Xiao: “Hurry up and say you’re leaving!”
Chiang Xiao couldn’t help wanting to laugh and called out towards the door, “Brother He, I’m borrowing a book from you. I just went to the study and found it, it’s called ‘Annals of Huaming County’.”
“‘Annals of Huaming County’? What’s that? Keep it.” He Jin imdiately said.
Chiang Xiao broke out in a sweat.
“There’s no need to give it to , I’ll bring it back after I’m done with it. Brother He, you should rest well, I’ll be leaving now.”
“Hey, Xiao Chiang, you’re not going to co in and see ?”
“No, no, she’s not looking, what’s there to look at you for?” Wu Xiayue took over the conversation and imdiately shoved Chiang Xiao out the door.
“Go, let’s go.”
And so, Chiang Xiao was hurried out, leaving Mingchen Studio with a wry smile on her face.
Perhaps a relationship like the one between He Jin and Wu Xiayue was quite nice.
Although He Jin had never accepted Wu Xiayue, there had never been other won by his side either, no gossip about any flirtations, and moreover, he tacitly allowed Wu Xiayue to manage Mingchen Studio with the poise of a lady of the house.
Perhaps they were both enjoying the process of chasing and being chased!
The rain hadn’t stopped over the weekend.
But Chiang Xiao still went back to Peace Town as planned.
Over at Osmanthus Alley, she still shared the rent for Chu Liang’s house with Ge Dejun’s family. So, they still had their own bedroom there.
Upon entering, the child’s giggles reached her ears, and Chiang Xiao imdiately smiled.
“Little Bean Bun, sis is back!”
Little Bean Bun was the son of Xu Linjiang and Ge Xiaotong.
Sohow, perhaps because Chiang Xiao always nourished Ge Xiaotong during her pregnancy, all that nutrition seed to have gone to Little Bean Bun. From the mont he was born, he was chubby, and initially, Ge Xiaotong wanted to nickna him “at Bun”, but Ge Dejun and Liu Pei strongly opposed it.
How awful would “at Bun” sound?
If anyone joked about it, always saying, ‘The at bun beats the dog,’ wouldn’t that drive them mad?
When Chiang Xiao heard these comnts, she laughed so hard she couldn’t straighten her back.
Xu Linjiang then tweaked it a bit, eventually twisting it into “Little Bean Bun”.
Regardless, although Little Bean Bun was chubby, he was incredibly cute with bright, round, and lively eyes.
He was always affectionate with Chiang Xiao, and even though she rarely ca back now, every ti she did, Little Bean Bun would cling only to her.
The not quite two-year-old, wobbling and holding on to furniture, still wasn’t too good at walking, but the mont he saw Chiang Xiao, he instantly let go and lunged towards her.
Chiang Xiao cried out in alarm and dashed over, tossing her umbrella aside to catch him in her arms.
“Oh my, my Little Bean Bun, you’re almost crushing
to death!” She held Little Bean Bun, laughing heartily as she nuzzled his face with her nose.
Little Bean Bun reached out to grab her face too and giggled aloud.
Ge Xiaotong stood in the living room, still holding a bowl of rice paste, as she had just been feeding Little Bean Bun.
“Such a heartless naughty boy! How long has it been since you last saw him? The last ti, I taught him, you know, to ignore you when you ca back, to cry and show you, but this naughty boy pounced on you again like a small dog seeing a bone the mont he saw you.”
On hearing this, Chiang Xiao’s face was filled with exasperation.
