Chapter 1902: Chapter 1838: From D State
After the wedding banquet ended, Chu Liang and Qian Fang saw off all the guests, both feeling a bit exhausted.
"Fang, you sit down and rest for a while first." Chu Liang said to her in a low voice.
Qian Fang shook her head and said sowhat guiltily, "Chu Liang, about that, Tian Sanqiang he..." As she spoke, she glanced at the remaining table in the hall.
Chiang Xiao.
She knew that Chu Liang worked for Chiang Xiao, and she was aware that Chiang Xiao was a girl not yet eighteen. But seeing her in person, she realized she truly was a re seventeen or eighteen-year-old girl.
However, witnessing Chiang Xiao’s imposing presence just now, she couldn’t help but feel a bit apprehensive towards her.
She suddenly feared that because of Tian Sanqiang, Chiang Xiao might have a negative impression of her and start to dislike her.
Because she knew Chu Liang had long considered Chiang Songhai and Ge Liutao as his own elders, but it seed that the Chiang Family was led by Chiang Xiao. If Chiang Xiao didn’t like her, would Chu Liang also stop liking her in the future?
He Jin and Wu Xiayue had already gone back.
The ones left were Chiang Songhai, Ge Liutao, Chiang Xiao, along with Hu Xibing, Zhao Xin, and Gong Xinhe.
To Chu Liang, they were all considered family.
"This matter has to be dealt with eventually. Don’t be afraid." He comforted Qian Fang.
"Um, um, is Chiang Xiao angry?" Qian Fang asked nervously.
Before, when she specifically went to et Elder Chiang Songhai and his wife, she was never this nervous. She didn’t know why eting Chiang Xiao made her so uneasy.
"She won’t be." Chu Liang led her toward Chiang Xiao and the others.
"Chiang Xiao, this is your first ti eting her. Let
introduce you, this is Qian Fang. Fang, this is Chiang Xiao."
"Ch-Chiang Xiao, h-hello..."
Chiang Xiao listened to Qian Fang’s accent, feeling a bit unfamiliar, "Isn’t Sister-in-law Qian Fang from City M?"
Seeing that she wasn’t angry and spoke to her brightly, Qian Fang felt slightly relieved. Yet, since Chiang Xiao asked, she felt she had to clarify things for her.
"I-I’m originally from D State. When I was eight, I moved with my parents to City M and have lived there for twenty years. I should have the City M accent, but maybe because I speak with my parents at ho a lot, I just can’t seem to lose this accent."
"From D State?" Chiang Xiao paused for a mont, looking at Chu Liang.
She hadn’t expected Qian Fang to be from D State. This was sothing Chu Liang hadn’t told her either.
Chu Liang slapped his forehead, "Oh right, I forgot to tell you that Qian Fang is from D State. But I’ve asked her, and she said her family is in the countryside, far away from the Jiang Family, and that she’s only heard of them but doesn’t know any Jiang Family mbers."
Initially, he didn’t know that Qian Fang’s hotown was D State. It was only when they were about to discuss marriage that Qian Fang ntioned it voluntarily.
"Congratulations to you both."
Chiang Xiao nodded, realizing she might have been overly sensitive.
Upon hearing that Qian Fang was from D State, she imdiately thought of the Jiang Family.
But D State is so large; it’s unlikely that everyone there has connections with the Jiang Family.
"Thank you."
Chiang Xiao asked, "What’s the matter with that man?"
Qian Fang suddenly beca nervous again.
It was ti to face it sooner or later.
"Yes, Qian Fang, you know that person, right?" Ge Liutao asked.
The man earlier was calling out for Little Fang, so it seed unlikely it was a case of mistaken identity.
"I, I, I do know him..." Qian Fang admitted, stamring slightly, "His na is Tian Sanqiang, he’s from D State like ..."
Chiang Xiao looked at Chu Liang.
"I know about this. Qian Fang hasn’t hidden anything from ," Chu Liang quickly said.
"Let’s not talk here. Do you want to take him back and handle this yourself?" Chiang Xiao asked.
If it was an emotional entanglent, she didn’t want to get involved.
