Chapter 1578: Chapter 1580: For the Next eting

ng Xinian’s words carried another layer of aning—was there truly no desire to acknowledge Chiang Qingzhu?

Chiang Xiao was startled for a mont, then imdiately nodded. “Yes.”

She desperately wished that fragile dodder flower wasn’t her biological mother.

In her past life, there had been no bond, no hope that she would ever have a loving, protective mother. In this life, her heart had already grown cold. Seeing that Chiang Qingzhu was such a person only made her even less hopeful.

“Alright, I understand. Don’t worry. I’ll first check if there’s a solution. If it’s feasible, I’ll let you know, and nothing will be done until you agree. Wait for my ssage.”

“Okay. I’ll try to co back ho in the evenings. I don’t get along well with my dorm mates,” Chiang Xiao said.

Xie Landi, Lee iqin, Qin Xiaojun, and the others—at first, she had thought that since fate had brought them together in this life, she might as well try to get along with them. Maybe she could have the simple college life that other students had, perhaps even make a few good friends, spending carefree days together shopping, watching movies, and grabbing ice cream.

Before entering the art academy, she had genuinely wanted to nurture friendships with her dorm mates.

But after a month into the sester, Chiang Xiao had abandoned that idea.

She and her dorm mates were simply not the sa kind of people.

Their paths in life were unlikely to overlap, and with Ye Wanqing constantly stirring up trouble in the dorm, Chiang Xiao thought it wasn’t worth the effort anymore.

As a result, she decided to return to the courtyard residence whenever possible after class. Alone, she could enjoy the tranquility. She even considered setting up an easel in the yard, so she could paint in peace.

“Alright. I’ll call you when I have ti. But keep an eye on the neighbors. If Brother Yun Xian’s aunt and her family really move in next door, let

know imdiately.”

He wanted to be fully aware of her living conditions.

Kuang Huizhi’s family was infamous for their nature, sothing he had heard about before.

If they truly beca a nuisance to Chiang Xiao, he wouldn’t hesitate to act the bully again and find a way to make them leave.

“Got it.”

Wang Yi, seated in the back, had overheard their entire conversation.

While worrying about Chen Yin, her mind also wandered to the things Chiang Xiao had said to her in the past few days. Watching Chiang Xiao’s interactions with ng Xinian left her feeling deeply conflicted.

Later, she witnessed the scene when ng Xinian saw them off.

The tall, handso young Supervisor Guard, exuding a rugged masculinity, strode alongside the moving train on the platform as it pulled away. His eyes stayed fixed on Chiang Xiao until he could no longer keep up and was forced to stop.

Not until they had vanished from each other’s sight.

Chiang Xiao kept looking out the window the entire ti.

Even as an observer, Wang Yi could feel the thick sense of reluctance between them, as well as the growing longing and care that had already started to spread from their parting.

“Xiao Chiang, Great Officer ng seems truly reluctant to let you go,” she said.

It was only then that Chiang Xiao withdrew her gaze, pressing her lips into a soft smile. In a low voice, she replied, “I’m reluctant to leave him too. But it’s alright. Every farewell is for the sake of the next reunion.”

“Shaless!” Wang Yi hadn’t expected her to speak so candidly and felt her own face flush slightly in response.

On the platform, ng Xinian stayed where he was until the train was completely out of sight, then turned and left.

He didn’t return to the base, though. Instead, he went back to the Chiang Family residence.

Chiang Songhai and Ge Liutao, seeing him return so soon, instinctively guessed that he had sothing he wanted to discuss with them.

This ti, their guess was correct.

ng Xinian indeed had sothing important to tell them.
