Chapter 1015: Chapter 1016: Like a Thief
Yu Chunyu…
He felt quite wronged, too.
That girl kinda scared him.
Who treats a custor who cos to eat breakfast at the shop as a potential suitor?
“How on earth did Zhao Xin’s maternal aunt co to know her?”
“Yu Chunyu slipped out because of the incident with Chiang Baohe and Zou Xiaoling. He just happened to go to the place where Zhao’s maternal aunt lives. Since Yu Chunyu frequently visited her variety store to buy things, he got to know her. Yu Chunyu lied to her saying he was going there to study, so Zhao’s aunt thought highly of his prospects and considered introducing him to Zhao Xin.”
“That woman has poor morals,” ng Xinian frowned.
Indeed, she had poor morals.
“I told Zhao Xin objectively, and Zhao Xin didn’t even go to see her. Later, when he was about to leave, I asked him to take care of that matter.”
As they chatted, they nearly covered everything that had happened during the ti they were apart. Chiang Xiao didn’t know how she eventually fell asleep, but when she opened her eyes again it was already six thirty in the morning, and she felt like she hadn’t slept for very long.
anwhile, ng Xinian was still sound asleep.
Chiang Xiao propped herself up, resting her cheek on her palm as she watched him.
ng Xinian, in his deep sleep, looked about three or four years younger than when he was awake. Perhaps it was because his expression wasn’t as cold and stern, it seed more peaceful.
Her fingers traced his features in the air, feeling very contented inside.
It seed that with his return, with him by her side, she felt a strong sense of security and contentnt.
She carefully climbed over him, got out of bed, took so clothes to change into, and tiptoed out the door softly.
Chiang Songhai just so happened to be getting up and pushing his door open, and he found her actions to be very odd.
“Little, what are you doing?”
Why acting like a thief?
Chiang Xiao was startled, quickly closed the door, turned around, and gave her grandfather a foolish smile while clutching her clothes.
“Grandpa, um, Brother Xinian is here.”
Chiang Songhai was both surprised and delighted, “Xinian is here? When did he co? Why didn’t I hear any knocking?”
Chiang Xiao imdiately responded, “He’s been here for over an hour. I happened to be getting up to use the restroom just as he knocked on the door, and I heard it.”
“Is that so? I must have slept really soundly today; I didn’t hear a thing,” Chiang Songhai moved closer, gesturing for her to go to the living room so as not to disturb ng Xinian near the door.
Every ti he ca back from a mission, he was very tired; he felt sorry for him.
“Why did he co in the middle of the night? He must be exhausted. Let him rest properly.”
Chiang Xiao really wanted to say that he was exhausted, but he kept her up talking all night for hours. Now he did seem tired, sleeping very deeply.
“Xinian is here?” Ge Liuotao erged from the kitchen.
“Yes, Little said he’s been here for over an hour,” Chiang Songhai said, “Make a few extra buns, Xinian loves them.”
“Over an hour? I was almost awake at that ti too, how co I didn’t hear any knocking?” Ge Liutao wondered while responding.
Chiang Xiao imdiately started sweating bullets.
Grandma wakes up that early?
She understated how long ng Xinian had been there because she felt embarrassed and didn’t want them to know that he actually spent the night in her room, but she hadn’t anticipated the risk of being caught.
“Oh, he was worried about disturbing you, so he knocked very lightly. I happened to be getting up for the bathroom and heard it, otherwise, I wouldn’t have heard it,” Chiang Xiao quickly explained before promptly changing the subject, “Grandma, I’m going out to do so boxing exercises.”
