Gu Junming was about to receive it, but she stepped back to avoid his hand, saying, "I also have a condition."
"What do you want?" Gu Junming asked. "You don’t want a divorce again?"
Ai i bit her lip and said, "I know you look down on soone like . But going back to the village ans death for . I don’t ask for much; I just hope you can keep him from divorcing and sending back. If you can promise that, I’ll let you see the letter. If you can’t, I won’t care. After all, I have a thick skin. I just want to stay in the city."
Gu Junming looked at Ai i: "Alright, I promise you. I won’t let you leave the city."
He realized that Ai i didn’t particularly love Liu Gang. There was nothing worthy of attachnt to soone who often beat her. She just wanted to stay in the city with soone supporting her.
Ai i was overjoyed and handed a few sheets of paper to Gu Junming: "Hurry up and read them. Once you’re done, I want them back. Don’t tell anyone I showed them to you."
Gu Junming thought to himself, you’re quite clever, good at planning, and nodded as he took the letter.
After reading it, Gu Junming’s face turned dark. He couldn’t help but want to spit blood. Liu Gang was beyond saving!
What kind of words are these? He dares to insult us like this!
He gritted his teeth and let out a cold chuckle as he handed the letters back to her: "Alright, take them back." Damn that Liu Gang, he needs a lesson! Is this still blaming for the last rescue incident?
"Okay, I’ll go back now. Rember the promise you made to ." She laughed as she quietly took the letters back. No matter what, Gu Junming keeps his promises.
Gu Junming returned to the house, seeing Sun Chan already asleep. Her body was sprawled out like a large character on the bed. Gu Junming smiled; whenever she was in a bad mood, she slept like this. Not wanting to disturb her, he slept on the sofa outside.
The next morning, when Sun Chan got up, her throat was very sore.
She tried to speak but found she completely lost her voice, thinking it might take a few days to recover.
Gu Junming was already holding a cup of water: "Here, I mixed so honey water for you; it tastes good."
Sun Chan smiled and mouthed: Thank you.
"Nothing to be courteous about. You shouldn’t eat spicy food these days. If you’re too tired, go stay at your mother’s for a couple of days. Don’t co back to the compound."
Sun Chan smiled and nodded, gulping down the water in a few sips. She wanted to get out of bed to cook, but Gu Junming stopped her. Since an incident happened yesterday, Gu Junming hadn’t eaten; he needed to have a good breakfast today.
But Sun Chan stopped him: "Never mind, let do it! I’ll just have fried eggs and fried buns; you go and draw or read. Don’t tire yourself out." She said this and left.
Sun Chan hugged the quilt and smiled happily, thinking Gu Junming was really good to her.
Gu Junming made breakfast, called Sun Chan to eat, and then told her about the plan upstairs against them: "They’re preparing to write an anonymous letter. It badmouths both of us badly. How should we respond? Even though we’re honest and upright, these disgusting words are unbearable."
Sun Chan, unable to speak, was very angry. She thought about it and went to the next-door study, quickly writing a ssage on paper: Strike first to gain the upper hand.
Gu Junming nodded: "Yes, that’s right. We should indeed strike first. Let’s go out early, and I’ll talk to the leadership about it. What do you think?"
Sun Chan wrote another line: ntion the whistle-blowing letter upstairs too.
Gu Junming smiled, patted her shoulder: "You’re right, I’ll listen to you. Let’s eat."
Sun Chan blushed, pulled his arm, and mouthed: I’m sorry.
"That’s silly talk! What does this have to do with you? You’ve been avoiding these scoundrels, who knew they’d sche against us! Co here, let kiss you, don’t be upset." Gu Junming pulled her onto his lap, and the couple shared a mont of intimacy before continuing with breakfast.
When the two went out, they conveniently saw the door opposite open, with Bai Fanglan coming out. She had stayed there all night because she was in too much pain to leave. Seeing Gu Junming and Sun Chan, Bai Fanglan was also surprised. She didn’t expect them to leave so early. She wanted to leave quickly to avoid eting them, but contrary to her wish, they ran into each other!
Sun Chan stared coldly at Bai Fanglan, shaking with hatred. Bai Fanglan also looked haggard, with bloodless lips.
Gu Junming held her back: "Don’t be angry; it’s not worth it for soone like that."
Sun Chan said nothing, walked up to Bai Fanglan, and slapped her. Bai Fanglan hit the wall opposite, and her nose started bleeding.
Bai Fanglan covered her face, looking at Sun Chan with grievance: "I’m a victim too. I was forced..."
"What’s the point of telling us this?" Gu Junming said coldly: "If you still consider yourself human, go confess everything in detail."
"C...confess?"
"Yes. You bullied my wife this ti, and you’re an accomplice. Don’t tell you didn’t know; I won’t believe you. Go confess, or I’ll deal with you myself in the future. Even if I don’t have evidence now, I’ll never let you live easily!" Gu Junming’s eyes were full of coldness, scaring Bai Fanglan into a panic.
Bai Fanglan didn’t want to go to prison. If she confessed, could she still keep things with that guy hidden? No, absolutely not!
"I won’t confess. I didn’t do anything wrong, I was forced, and that person... he pressured to co here and forced to deceive people. I didn’t expect him to do this to you, Sun Chan. I’m sincerely apologizing to you. I can give you money, do anything, just don’t let go to prison!"
As she said this, she suddenly grabbed Sun Chan and knelt before her!
Sun Chan frowned as the once proud woman, now kneeling before her, carelessly bartering her face and dignity to avoid involvent.
Gu Junming, annoyed, pulled Bai Fanglan up: "What’s the point of doing this? Do you think just kneeling and apologizing will make up for it? Look at my wife’s neck. If it weren’t for her classmate being upstairs at the ti, there might have been an accident. Can you compensate for my wife’s whole life?" Gu Junming got angrier the more he spoke, pushing Bai Fanglan aside.
Tears stread down her face: "I was wrong! I’m really wrong, but please forgive for my child’s sake! Otherwise, my child will be dood! My daughter is so young, what should I do?" she said, ending up sobbing hysterically.
